Absolutely dreadful. Only been a tenant for 6 months, haven’t been able to decorate or move in but I’m still having to pay rent. It’s absolutely ridiculous. I’ve had 4 inspectors now, all saying what the problems are perfectly. However when it gets to being fixed nothing gets done or it’s a half arsed job and needs re doing within the week. I got “signed off” from my complaint, so wrote another as nothing from my first complaint got fixed. They sent another inspector who agreed that nothing got fixed and honestly he was mad himself as he also inspected the property before.
My wall got plastered because of large cracks, 2 days later and it’s all cracked again. Nothing else was even bothered to fix. Was given £100 but what is that when I’ve paid you rent every month without even decorating and having to pay rent at another property until you get your act together and actually fix the problems. I’m disabled with a 7 month old baby, without a proper home for him to grow up in. I am so disappointed with your housing and they need to find different contractors if they can’t even plaster a wall properly or fix a gutter.
The only positive I’ve had is the time the lock on the house wasn’t working or opening the door, the men that came were nice and very professional and did a great job.
If it was fixed and done properly the first time you wouldn’t have to spend more money going back.
Just because it’s ’social Housing’ doesn’t mean we don’t deserve care and safe housing.

My daughter moved into her property last year with her then 7 year old daughter who has ADD and Autism, also my daughter has delayed learning difficulties. They had settled in having spent money getting new carpets throughout and decorating the whole flat. She has a support worker in place and all was going well till November last year after a new neighbour moved in June time. From November onwards they shouted abuse about my daughter’s and granddaughter’s disabilities and obscene hand gestures all because my granddaughter looks out the window, in the end we at to get the local police involved. Then to make things worse a friend of theirs moved in below my daughter now she’s had it from them too. We have tried to report this several times to our local housing officer but to no avail. My granddaughter looks every time they got out to see if the neighbour is smoking on her step and won’t go until she goes in. They both now do not feel safe there and want to move which is a shame because she love’s her flat but not the area.

Been living in one of their properties for over 8 years and now they started doing shared areas inspections 😂 They removed everyones door mats because it's a "fire hazard" according to them, threatening they will take peoples' prams BUT they are not bothered about the front entrance being broken for 6 years, homeless sleeping in shared areas occasionally, certain tenants smoke indoors and stink the place out, no window cleaner service, our windows are filthy, car park is frequent meet up spot for drug dealers, garages are used to store gardening equipment which is a real fire hazard!!! Really? Get it right!! Your reviews are horrible for a reason. Sort it out. Bullies!!!

No heating for 4 days and counting.

They sent someone as an "emergency" wereupon he argued with me that the boiler is fine.

"The radiators being cold isn't a figment of my imagination."

He then tried to argue with me about the thermostat whilst seemingly having no idea whatsoever how that works. He then tapped the radiator pipes with his finger and said "is that better?"..

No one's come back, no one's done anything. Nada. Once again my home is -5 and I've had to basically move out as it's unbearable.

They sent a "Surveyor" who isn’t actually a surveyor to look at all outstanding issues (11 years and counting) for the 13th time two weeks ago.

He said I'd get a txt so I had his contact number. He didn't.

He said I'd get a schedule. I didn't.

They've now breached awaab multiple times.

Thanks for additional evidence for our upcoming court case though.

Again if I could give no stars I would . Another prime example of YHG employees getting above their station & thinking they have power over residents.
I have within the last hour had a knock ( understatement) on my door without an appointment, from a member of YHG! I had not long before this man Knocked my front door , placed 2 bags of recycling outside my door ready for me to take down the stairs & put in the recycling bins (which are always full ) that same day. The YHG employee, didn’t just knock my door politely but banged on it numerous times until I answered . I asked him why he had cold called without an appointment advising him I was in the middle of an important call & he said he didn’t need to have an appointment. I explained to him why he did need one & that I would not speak to him without an appointment. However he refused to go saying I either had to take the bags back into my home or take them down now . I answered saying I would remove them when he left, I then closed my front door . A few minutes later , I took the bag downstairs to take out to the recycling & noticed he had not left so I approached him again advising not to call again without an appointment & also gave an explanation to him concerning a chest of drawers which were on the communal landing on my floor . This chest of drawers has been on the landing for 2 years now due to a massive , leak on the top floor into my flat & the communal area ( top floor ) because of the incompetence of the housing association, which despite years of warnings from residents , had let the roof get into such a state of disrepair resulting in injury, in some flats ceilings falling in and furnishings becoming water damaged. Despite knowing this YHG left it like this for months on end before they decided to make repairs . The damaged chest of drawers as agreed by both myself & YHG was their responsibility to move as it was their fault this happened. ( please read the long notes on your system concerning this YHG ). This very rude intimidating man was not satisfied & advised it was my responsibility then had the audacity to tell me I’d been rude to him when he knocked my door & proceeded to point his finger along a notice on the wall which advised no items to be left in communal areas & asked me if I could read it!!
Please let me be clear : when I am standing within the home I pay rent to live in, I will be rude to anyone I like who attempts to use intimidation or their own false sense of power over me.
I will not invite anyone from YHG to my home WITHOUT AN APPOINTMENT CONFIRMED BY MYSELF .
Finally please can YHG get rid of their mentality that being because we rent from a housing association we are lower class citizens who have no rights . I pay rent to live here , you do not have the right to try to intimidate or wield power over me if n my home !!

Cowboys. Look at the state of their birchwood community. Their staff are rude and lazy. Treats drug use like it's legal. Leaves Tennant's without hot water. Treats electrical faults as not a priority. 6 weeks without hot water. Doesn't respond to emails and phone calls. And they'll claim they're amazing. Never rent from these cowboys. They should be shut down and run by local authorities.

Tried to apply to work at a 1st Line IT Support role for these baboons, but their shocking website wouldn't even allow me to log in with the account I created with them via their convoluted careers portal.

I then thought I would do some light research to see what they're actually like, and if this was worth troubleshooting, and it seems I dodged a bullet as these lot are a bunch of idiots.

YYour housing make claims like we sent a worker and you were not in but when I rang the worker he said henhad never been my address as your housing will never admit their mistakes they double down on stupid so I am going to send them the full day of camera footage and the phone call from the worker they claim had tried to call, awful they were OK back in apx 2011, they do have at least one good manager Dave Lovatt

I have been living with antisocial behaviour and fly tipping for 10 months and after a a verbal warning, 2 written warnings, a face to face meeting, a pre court letter for an injunction, environmental health noise pollution officer sending a warning letter, putting equipment in for noise levels and still its continued. This goes on from 8pm til 7,8,9 in the morning. Its effected my son and effected me. The police dont do anythin either. Theres also been a numerous police visits for kicking off with a numerous of lads and still social services dont do anything either. I had reported to UCAN, the local MP, Citizens advice who all told Me to report it to the people i had already spoken to. No one should have to live with this. Your housing sends out a brochure every year and states it deals with 97% of cases and its risen by 33% i must be the 3% it failed. In result of this lack of involvement i am moving out and it cant come soon enough. I feel sorry for the next tenant that moves in. No respect for anyone.

These are an absolute disgrace. I’ve had an anti social neighbour for five years above me I’ve complained none stop and they advised I should pay for sound proofing. Then gave me a noise app that was utter crap. Useless. I’ve no bedroom as it’s in the living room. I go to my doctors for sleeping pills. When I complain to him upstairs he floods my flat. 16 weeks of flooding until the bathroom ceiling came crashing down. They reluctantly gave me pennies for all the damage. They’ve had to come out and fix the intercom five times last year because he tags it out if I buzz his door at 4am to turn the radio chat shows down. This has caused me terrible stress even suicidal thoughts
They don’t give a shit about the tenants and the nutters and anti social tenants are given priority over us because of their mental health. But what about mine?
I have developed heart disease in the past two years. I’ve also had plastic surgeries for a devastating illness and can’t recover properly.
Almost six years of this annd your housing are a disgrace I wish I’d never gone with them.
They’re now advising me to move out instead!
It’s with a solicitor now as I’ve had enough. I’m seriously ill.

YHG is not just the worst landlord I have ever had but also the worst company in general that I have come across in almost 50 years. I honestly can't wait to find a new home and not have to deal with these people ever again. Useless at every level.

My garden has been flooding for 2 months still no drain still not resolved I woke up last week after a rain storm to find my kitchen flooded with rain water because the flood is that bad since they have done a repair in my garden and even that looks like they’ve had school boys out to to the job it’s an absolute mess despite 21 phone calls in the last month they still don’t know when they can come out even tho the flooding is now so bad it’s coming through my kitchen hen back door absolute discrace

I am extremely disappointed with your housing group ltd.
My family and I have been living with serious safety, hygiene, and security problems for a very long time, and nothing has been properly fixed despite many reports.
Building security is terrible – the main gate and entrance doors are broken, so anyone can walk inside the building.
Homeless individuals often enter, especially in cold weather, and many are drunk or intoxicated. As a young woman living alone with my 3-year-old daughter, this has made us feel unsafe in our own home.
The building has CCTV, but it is not monitored or used to prevent crime.
We have had repeated thefts, including three incidents where our shoes were stolen, and both my bicycle and my husband’s bicycle were taken.
There is a severe rat problem, and rats have even chewed electrical wires.
There is a continuous cockroach infestation in the kitchen and bathroom.
There are major electrical faults in the building. A qualified electrician confirmed that the wiring problems are in the building, not in my appliances.
These conditions are not acceptable for anyone, especially families with young children.
I have asked for help many times, but the issues remain unresolved.
I hope this review encourages the landlord to take responsibility and finally provide safe and decent living conditions.

Been left without heating and hot water for 5 days now keeping calling to ask when my boiler is going to get fixed only to be told it’s a 24 hour repair and they’ll be out soon

This corporation is so corrupt. They nearly pushed my girlfriend, who is ill, to end her life. She lost everything, but not her dignity. She has a Handicapped son who has the mental age of a child and is gay. And they let an old neighbour bully, harass and lie about my girlfriend and son until she snapped. This neighbour worked for them voluntarily, and every other neighbour in the street had a party when she passed. She bullied everyone. Even the old vicar of the church was terrified of her. Just because a woman or a man is a pensioner does not give them the right to break the law. I still go into the street and have a cuppa with a neighbour that I will not name. Baxter said she hated my girlfriend as soon as she moved in. When my girlfriend's Mum was alive, and they went to view the house, a woman with a shopping trolley said to my girlfriend and her Ma. You need to watch her in number 13; she is not a nice woman. To this day now my GF always regrets taking the property. She spent thousands on that house. Memories of her late Mum and her Son and us all having a laugh with one of the neighbours when a rat went into her kitchen, and I had to trap it. It was so funny. She did the Garden up like a palace and loved her cats. She has never been the same since she lost her Mum and her home, and is in and out of the hospital with respiratory failure and depression. She hates injustice tho and understands the law. A member of staff tried to gag her over what went on, and the solicitor they wasted money on knew she knew the law. The judge in a civil case was terrified of her cause; she knew the law. They wasted about 15k of your money on vexatious civil claims that went nowhere. No Judge signed the order; it was null and void. This unit was an ex-magistrate and was harassing me and my Sister, who works in a better job than this housing officer and is on more money than this fat sow. We were being harassed and questioned by this big gobbed f@t unit, called Fenney, in a criminal court, trying to intimidate us, thinking my GF had nobody, so we had to give sworn witness statements to help her over this for a criminal case that is now being looked at again, as this old tw@t neighbour lied. Fenney also tried to intimidate me by getting a lad bigger than me when I had to get her furniture out. I am 6ft 4. It did not work, you f@t old nasty ugly Sow. I wonder how much they paid for the bouncer to try and intimidate me? My Sister is doing SAR requests for my GF to find out who the thugs are. And my GF will get justice. All of her data was breached by these b@strds as well. Baxter lied and said her daughter had terminal cancer. Her Children left her when they were 9 and 14, as they hated her; they went to live with their stepfather, so what does that tell you about this dead, nasty animal-abusing satanist? Think for yourselves, we refuse to be silenced. No weapon formed against us shall prosper. My Mum is 93, coming to the end of her life, but she was going to tell Baxter to leave her alone in 2019. She is an ox, my Mum. I understand now what my GF went through when her mum was only 65 when she passed. Baxter was terrified of my Mum. This one who was doing witness intimidation is the type that thinks other people's money can get her out of the trouble she is in. Your turn soon to be cross examined. My Sis is not going to risk her pension and rep for some ladder pulling bully. Fenney is the type that thinks having other people's money equates to her getting her own way, The truth is always free.

They used to be good 15 years ago , now they are incompetent,, dont turn up for appointments never answer to emails or calls , never on time for repairs . A really bad housing association. Go else where if you can these lot couldn't run a piss up in a brewery.

Absolutely nightmare to get any job done with these people. They miss appointments without warning and when they bother to show up, they leave without logging any updates, so you have no clue what’s been done, no matter how many times you chase them up. The customer service is even worse, they lie, waste your time, and will postpone the simplest task for months unless you escalate and complain repeatedly.

It’s a broken, careless system run by people who clearly don’t give a f. Do yourself a favour a hire a private contractor and then pass the bill to your housing.

Antisocial Behaviour Laughed Off

Constant complaints about antisocial behaviour and criminal, violence, drugs and nothing done. Loads police involvement. Residents living in fear from these Yours housing residents. Laughed off nothing can do , email from liason virtually said not got time to deal with. Housing is mess with smashed windows and doors! YOURS SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELFS!! Bet if local residents stop paying rent you would respond to them.

Your housing is a complete shambles been in a house 9 years with the same cold damp mould roof leaking bay window pissing through and still not fixed had solicitors onto them at one point they said had fixed all the problems have they hell noone ever phones you back or anything job don't get done or they say they have fixed the job but 2 week later its back to square one avoid at all costs joke of a company won't even move us out me and my kids r ill all the time aswell this has been going on since moved in 9 years again and its still the same lmao iv been waiting for the complaints to contact me lmao iv phoned them all this week an noone is answering my calls again also housing offer ignore my call an text and been waiting gover a year for manager phone me when I phone to chase it up get told all they can do is send email to such a person an all that rubbish an noone ever grta bk to me I want out this shit hole house asap been asking housing officer for months an noone wants to help this bay window is pissing through still needs a new roof multi leaks everywhere even lad has said needs new roof an guess what iv been told this morning when I called fix 360 they are coming out on 18th to put scaffolding bk up and co.ing out on 30th to patch the leaks up again lmao 🤣 so on other words no roof and we are still gunna have it leaking noone this shit 9 years an still won't do a proper job so to everyone DO NOT GO WITH YOUR HOUSING GROUP U WILL REGRET IT SHIT COMPANY
