We chose Emily, the Yorkshire Violinist, for our wedding because we wanted beautiful live music to make our ceremony and day feel really special and personal. From the moment we contacted her, Emily was so lovely, professional and helpful, and we knew we had made the right choice.

The music was absolutely beautiful and added such a special atmosphere to the day. Emily played a wonderful mix of romantic pieces as well as fun, memorable songs that our guests recognised and really enjoyed. It created such an elegant and relaxed feel throughout the day, and having live violin music made everything feel even more special and memorable. Our guests commented on how amazing she was and how much they enjoyed the music.

One of our favourite moments was hearing Emily play as I walked down the aisle - it was incredibly emotional and something we will always remember. She really helped make the whole day feel magical.

Emily performed for our wedding in May and she was absolutely perfect! We was so happy with how Emily performed the songs that we had chosen that we asked if it would be possible to get them on a CD. Emily took time to perfect them in the studio and sent us a beautiful CD and also the digital files. The day was such a whirlwind that you can’t take everything in as much as you’d like to so this was the perfect way of being able to relieve part of our special day and really be able to appreciate just how beautiful it sounded when performed by Emily on the violin. I would highly recommend purchasing a keepsake CD.

We hired from The Yorkshire Violinist for our wedding 15.08.25 and we had the beautiful Lara performing for us. She was incredible and was able to turn any song into an amazing violin tune (even house music😱). On the day the sun was shining and with Lara playing her violin it was truly magical and I can’t thank her enough for making our day special❤️

I came accross Emily on Tik tok and instantly knew we wanted to use her for our wedding. She was so helpful and personable, we are so glad we chose her. Ww had a few requests to make the ceremony unique to us and she was so accomidating to this. If we ever host another event she will be the first supplier we contact! Thank you again Emma x

From the moment we booked, the communication was brilliant. Emily took the time to understand us as a couple and tailor the music specifically to our wedding, making the whole experience feel truly bespoke and personal.

On the day itself, they were exceptional. They adapted to everything happening around them and went above and beyond to make sure there was never an awkward moment of silence. Their professionalism and ability to read the room were fantastic, allowing everything to flow seamlessly.

The music they provided during our ceremony created the most beautiful atmosphere and added something truly special to the day. Every guest commented on how incredible they were and how much they enjoyed listening to them.

We couldn’t have asked for anything more from Emily. They were professional, talented, incredibly accommodating and played such an important part in making our ceremony so memorable.

We used the Yorkshire Violinist for our wedding in June. Originally booked the string trio before changing our minds to the string quartet, Emily was very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The beautiful strings were played as our guests arrived and throughout our wedding. No playlist on Spotify would come close to how the live strings made us feel and the atmosphere which they created on the day. Emily played a song for us that was not listed on the repertoire and it was simply stunning. Would highly recommend.

We had one of the Yorkshire Violinist's deputies (Naomi) play out our wedding in July 2026 and were really pleased. She played from before the ceremony started, during the ceremony, and afterwards during the drinks reception for about 3 hours. The contemporary music added a really fun and special vibe to the day, and she also created a custom composition for the bride to walk down the aisle to which was wonderful. In the run up, she coordinated with the venue directly to ensure the correct set-up was available, and on the day they were discrete and unobtrusive - setting up without any input from us and even moving between inside and out to follow the crowds. Having a live violinist was a little luxury for us but we really feel it was well worth it to make the day just a little more special, and Naomi definitely did just that.

Emily was absolutely amazing on my wedding day at the church and went above and beyond. I was over an hour late due to traffic and Emily kept all our guests entertained which I am forever grateful for. Emily stayed longer than planned and went a lot over in time but still carried on playing and was extremely patient on the day. I’m so happy I chose Emily and will be forever grateful . Emily was nothing less than absolutely FANTASTIC!!! Each one of my guests, found me on the day to tell me how incredible the music was, and of course I agree. Having a violin play in the background was just magical, that’s all I can explain it as. Even through the booking process and three months leading up to our wedding, Emily sent us monthly check-list reminder emails to ensure she had all of our timelines, information and preferences ready. Emily, I cannot thank you enough. Our day would not have been the same without you.

We had the absolute pleasure of Emily playing at our wedding drinks reception and we were blown away with how incredible she was!

Our whole experience working with Emily was fantastic, from our very first interaction she was so bubbly, enthusiastic and friendly! Her podcast was also a great listen and really helped during the lead up to the wedding and dealing with the stresses of planning.

Our chosen songs also included Bollywood music, which Emily performed perfectly! All of the guests had so many compliments about what a talented musician you are!
