Would highly recommend Yorkshire blinds, Shane fitted some blinds on our ice cream freezer last year and we needed them adjusting for the weekend rush! we rang him yesterday and he was with us by 7.30 this morning!
arranged for measuring and fitting…
arranged for measuring and fitting blinds from Bridlington branch Shane arrive and measured 7 windows paid deposit £80 and £400 when fitted when fitted 2 windows same width / length when fitted one had 10 strips and 0ne had 9
3rd window same length was 2 inch shorter than other 2
6 window blinds was in cream and 1 was in white
re arranged visit to rectify issues and agreed 1 issue was we removed curtains after measurement and agreed £70 to re fit them all other issues he admitted was his mistake and would rectify at his expense
arrived to rectify the issue but did not have correct parts so confirmed another date and never arrived tried contacting him on several occasions but no response in the end i sent mail confirming i would rectify the issues am my expense and did not want him to attend the premises again total cost was £480 and paid in full cash what a waste of time / money this experience went on for around 8 weeks would not advice anyone to use this service

Horrendous experience!
12th April, deposit paid.
8th May was the day the blind was to be fitted but cancelled an hour beforehand, things happen so I didn’t have a problem with this.
10th May Shane arrived and the blind was a completely different colour than I ordered but was told “let’s fit it and see”
When fit it was still the wrong colour 😬 so I said I wanted the colour I’d ordered. I was told it was a factory error and the correct blind would be fit on 17th May. The motor/remote also didn’t work so that would be replaced too.
27th May still no blind or communication so I emailed asking for an update to which I received a reply saying my blind material was the wrong colour as white was out of stock 🤦♀️
31st May Shane arrived with the correct colour fabric but he had a nightmare getting it into the rail. He fit the blind and the left fitting started coming out of the plaster so a new hole was drilled and the blind put up.A new motor was fit and the remote worked perfectly. Invoice paid (£400)
Shortly afterwards I showed my husband how to use the remote and he noticed the blind wasn’t level at the bottom. He looked up and the fitting at the right was coming away.
I immediately emailed asking for this to be fixed and added a photo. No reply.
3rd June I text both numbers that Shane had previously contacted me on with the photo and a screenshot of the email, Both texts read but again no response!
12th June … the blind fell off! It damaged the newly plastered wall and snapped the key in our newly installed window.
14th June I sent an email including photos and requesting the blind to be collected and a full refund to be issued. Again no reply.
I looked on company house and it says Yorkshire blinds ceased trading on 28th May and is now trading as in-house blinds. Avoid this company unless you have money to throw away.
I will be taking this to court as £400 is a lot of money.
I always like to support local but this is turning out to be a big mistake on my part.
In response to your reply to my review and the email you sent me…
After ignoring my emails and texts for two weeks you then received a review from me, and surprise surprise you phoned me straight away offering to reinstall the blind and give me £50 as a gesture of goodwill and if I don’t accept that you will consider the matter closed.
The new plaster is damaged and needs sorting and repainting. The key broke off in the window lock of my new window so that needs replacing. £50 would not come close to covering that cost so why would I accept your offer?
Had you not ignored me, had you returned and installed as I asked probably using bigger stronger screws that didn’t fit through the hole in the bracket and you had altered the puckered material the issue would have been resolved before the damage was caused. Customer service is everything!
You can quote the sale of goods act but I as a consumer have rights too.
I will be taking this further.

Outstanding is an under statement. I just want to say the quality off the blinds are next to none. I got my whole house done. I never had to lift a finger. Fantastic service. And I got all I asked for . I have a holiday home that is needing blinds and I will be useing this company again.

Thank you for doing such a wonderful job with my shutters, im super happy with them 😁. The fitter was so lovely too, i had to delay a couple of times due to the work in my kitchen not being complete yet, and he was absolutely fine and assured me it was no problem. Shutters needed a slight adjustment service booked in for friday 22 Shane was passing thursday evening 21 called in and adjusted the shutter excellent service can't fault the man or the company thanks Shane

Extremely Poor customer service
Been having issues with this company since July 2025, had shutters fitted which went faulty within 1 week, they are sagging in the middle, now May 2026 and I’m on our 3rd set, which are also sagging. The company is now ignoring my emails, sent 2 emails 3 weeks ago and had no acknowledgement or communication in anyway. I have had to continually chase them and have numerous emails to prove this. They have in the past said my emails went into their spam folder so they are receiving them they just aren’t checking their spam on a regular basis. Which again is terrible when one of my main complaints has been poor communication. They have also now blocked my phone number as I’ve managed to ring and speak to them 3 times in the past but blocked now. Very poor customer communication skills and obviously have no intention of honouring my guarantee. Its interesting to see that on the trust pilot home page regarding this company it states that Yorkshire blinds reply’s to 100% of negative reviews usually within 48 hours, such a shame they don’t reply to customers that quickly. I would Not recommend this company in anyway.

Yes I’ve left 3 negative reviews over the last 6 years, but I can assure you I’ve used dozens of companies, been on an average of 4 holidays per year and over that period been unhappy with 3 companies, sorry that’s now 4 with yourselves!
So yes I’ve left 4 negative reviews but I’ve been extremely happy with the rest.
You haven’t mentioned your inept ability to communicate with myself, not replying to emails, not arriving for appointments on time, sometimes not arriving at all, not checking your spam, not knowing what method of internal strengthening was used on your last visit, the fact that you stopped responding and blocked a customers phone number even though there was an ongoing customer service issue.
I’m absolutely astounded at your response and I hope that people reading this will realise how bad your company is regarding customer service.

Your continued ability to blame your customer speaks volumes about your customer service we went on 1 month long holiday and gave you 3 weeks notice regarding this, you haven’t mentioned that you arranged to bring replacement units before our trip and then just didn’t turn up, we had to then again chase you on our return, also regarding ringing me. You managed to call me on the 24th of April 2026 with no problem, you also managed to send me a text on the same day, you also admitted in an email months before that your own system was the issue, because I’d opted out of marketing the same system would then block your call and text messages to me? So which is it? You either can or can’t call and text.
You also seem quite insistent to close all communication down regarding my faulty shutters on these messages, so what you’re basically saying is you do not intend to honour my guarantee, you’re also saying that you will not be paying any compensation. Again speaks volumes.
You also mentioned my neighbour, I think you need to contact them and take a look at the last shutter you installed as that too is massively sagging in the middle, but don’t take my word for it you check that out yourself.
You also seem quite insistent to repeat the fact that the shutters can’t be dismantled, but yet on your last visit to install the 3rd set of shutters in my lounge in order to make the controls on the left and right shutters pair up as I’d requested and sent a picture to demonstrate this you arrived with two lefts instead of a left and a right. You then dismantled one of the shutters and swapped the control mechanism round! So again you can do something when it suits you but when I request the same thing you refuse.
Again regarding my previous 3 negative comments on Trustpilot, for all the times I’ve been away, been to restaurants, been shopping, used coffee shops, used other companies for jobs around my house, stopped in numerous holiday cottages, you keep picking up on 3 negative comments over 6 years.
I await to see what else you can come up with to blame your customer as nothing seems to be your fault.

Again you’ve said you can’t dismantle the shutters but then said you did?
I just checked with my neighbour and they tell me you’ve not been in touch so I’m not sure how you’ve checked that their installation is as expected?
And as you say that ladies and gentlemen this is what I’m up against.

Two no-show appointments - not recommended
Have now had two failed appointments to measure for blinds. The first occasion we were told they found no one in when there was someone here throughout. Second appointment also a no show. Have had no messages of follow up or apology and can’t get through on any of the phone numbers provided. Complete waste of time.
Thanks for your response to my review, Yorkshire Blinds. Just to be absolutely clear, I didn’t receive a call from you this morning to confirm your visit in advance. And I haven’t spoken to anyone in your office today - let alone been rude - as I wasn’t able to get through on any of the numbers. Finally, if Halifax is outside of your catchment area then you only have to be clear at the outset it’s too far - which yes, is exactly what I do in my business.

Would not recommend
Would not recommend. Spent over £3000 on shutter blinds and electric blinds and almost 8 months later and 5 failed visits to correct the errors and still not right. So very disappointed. Poor and would advice caution if you do use them and don’t pay in full until satisfied. Shocking.

Amazing from start to finish again, we have had blinds fitted in a few houses now and can’t fault the reliability and expertise. Would recommend to anyone, great quality and customer service.

Straight forward pricing without any seasonal gimmicks that are based on inflated prices. Happy to come out and measure and provide free fitting.
