Chat experience before buying
I'm writing about an experience I had with this company via chat as I had a few questions before making a purchase.
I wanted to know 1.where the materials for production are sourced, and 2.where the products are made.
Their response was "tutti nostri prodotti fatti a mano da noi" translated means "all of our products are handmade by us."
This obviously didn't answer my 2 questions, so I said as much and repeated the questions. I kid you not, the response was "dove acquistiamo i materiali per realizzare i prodotti, non siamo tenuti a dirvelo 🤷🏼♀️" ("we don't have to tell you all where we source the materials we use for our products 🤷🏼♀️")
Ok, but I'm looking for a European sourced and produced product for my child, so I don't appreciate the lack of transparency.
Then I asked again where the furniture is actually made, because I didn't see it on the website. The response was completely rude "we're in Italy, you can find this info on the website" and when I said I didn't see it they said "non sai leggere?" ("You don't know how to read?)
I read the entire "about us" section, which doesn't say where the products are made. It does say "made in Italy" on the main page if you scroll all the way down, but not on the actual product descriptions either, so I missed it. My mistake, but I still don't understand the rudeness.
I did a bit more digging, and there is a Ukrainian version of the website where the founders of the company are pictured.
Needless to say, I didn't purchase from them, instead I chose another company that was transparent about sourcing their materials in Europe.
