HORRIBLE customer service! I signed up for a one year subscription as a gift. They put the charge through in seconds but I have been unable to sign-in (reset password, etc. does not work) and the robotic chat sucks. When you do get to the point of submitting a question, the response says they will get back to you in a few hours. A few hours? Not to worry, they actually do not respond ever. I am going back to Amex to get a refund and tell them this business is a scam.
UPDATE: After a couple days of continued inaction, I did send an email as suggested in YesChef's response. A week later......nothing.

I was gifted one year from a friend and they didn't even notify me that it would auto renew after the year. It was a surprise expense that wasn't wanted on my end as I didn't even use the site in the year I had access. Customer service got back to me once about a refund but they aren't very punctual with response times. I did recieve a 50% refund on tbe charge, but notifying me about the upcoming renewal in the first place would have saved me the whole cost as i would have canceled and not renewed.
EDIT - since the initial response from customer service the response time is much better, so I would like to add in that they have replied to me in a timely matter since the initial response.

Behind YesChef are excellent professionals taking care of any concerns, questions or doubts. While the first email goes to a generic “support” address, the feedback comes by a real person addressing the specifics.Not a chat or a computer generated form. They really care. Great experience.

I purchased an "Annual Pass gift card" for my parents last year for Christmas, and to my surprise, I was billed $319 a few days ago as part of YesChef's auto-renew subscription. I received no receipt for my purchase last year, no indication that this was a recurring subscription, and no notice of a renewal. I reached out to their support team last week to request a full refund, and I'm now being ignored. I can't even get someone on the phone to help because they don't have a contact number. This is by far the worst customer experience I've ever had. The holidays are a stressful and expensive season, and I am being completely taken advantage of. Currently disputing this charge with my credit card company.

*UPDATE**
After posting this review (several days after trying to contact them), YesChef responded issuing a refund and asking me to take down this review. My problem has now been resolve over so I am updating this to three stars.
Received this as a gift, I had to put my card details in to sign up and figured after the gift ended I’d choose whether to continue and what plan. The subscription auto renewed to an 12 month upfront payment off the date the gift was purchased, so I had no idea it was coming. No communication, no email, no receipt. I tried to contact them, there is no contact other than the web form, and no response through that. I wouldn’t have paid the full amount for the content anyway, and nothing new was added during my subscription so it’s clearly not growing. Avoid at all costs.

Yes Chef auto renewed my membership without any notice, and it was nearly double what the original subscription cost! I was not aware that the subscription auto-renewed at all, I have no receipt via email for last year's sign-up, no contact number, no recourse. On top of that, when I looked briefly through the site, it appears that the content hasn't even changed since last year. I'll be contacting my CC company to look into it, it appears to be a scam. Avoid at all costs. I tried contacting them through their help page but so far, no response.
EDIT: After contacting Kevin directly through their email, he responded and refunded the amount in full. In addition, I was supposedly given a lifetime membership. I have yet to check that out. Based on this response I am changing my review from one star to three, but I still urge caution to others who want to sign up...make sure you are aware of the automatic renewal.

I was charged $365 for automatic renewal on my Yeschef account, but after contacting Kevin, my dispute was rectified. The full amount has been refunded, and Kevin has kindly given me a life membership to Yeschef. I know that people from around the world subscribe, but I now know that I'm not just a number in the system. I sincerely thank Yeschef for their personal touch.

I was charged automatically for renewal which I did not approve, did not opt-in for, nor was I given any notification. The renewal was more than double the original 1 year subscription. I've been begging for a refund for 6 weeks.. the nightmare of this company stealing from me is not over yet. Don't do business with them! There's no contact phone number and it takes them a week to respond with email, using empty promises.

My subscription was auto-renewed to £194 without a prior email warning. I could not afford this and in fact did not visit the site since I subscribed a year ago when it was on a special offer. And after several 'to and fro' they agreed to refund half of it to me which although I was not happy with but it was something. The experience has put me off visiting the site altogether.
I cannot even remember signing up for Yes Chef Me and have never used. I was however invoiced for a further subscription year on the 9th November. I emailed to tell them that I did not want to have any subscription, my bank stopped the transaction with them, they did not reply and have now taken out a further yearly subscription.
I do not want to subscribe, I have emailed, and they have taken money out of my bank which I could not cancel in time, I would give them a higher rating if they credit me back my money.
Hopefully they will reply as I cannot find a phone number to contact them.
24hrs later Yes Chef are going to credit me - 10 points for a quick reply.

Update:I ended up doing a dispute through my bank because I didn’t consent to them taking my money all these years. I received several emails from Yes Chef trying to get me to cancel the dispute. I had heard from other reviews that they cancelled their disputes and never heard from anyone again, so I didn’t cancel mine. It ended up working in my favor and from there Yes Chef did a good job making sure that my account was cancelled and my information deleted. That made me feel better. Just be sure to read the fine print before you consent. They may not tell you they are taking your money!
I signed up for a year of service with yes chef and they kept taking my money for three years without sending a single receipt. Once I discovered what was happening, they just said that I could gift someone a free year, but they don’t refund renewals! I have not received any emails from them since 2022, but they have been taking my money anyways. If they don’t refund renewals, they should at least they you know in advance so you can decide if you still want the service.

Yeschef auto-renews without giving the customer any notice. I consider this really bad business practice and £191 was taken from my bank account. All other companies I have ever dealt with send a renewal notice 2-3 weeks prior to renewal to give the customer the choice to check the cost and decide. I have emailed them and although they claim to want to resolve things, they have refused to refund my money yet keep offering my a free year and a gift card. I would never gift someone this for the same thing to happen to them. Shady shady business. I don't believe the celebrity chefs onboard will be aware, and if they were would part company with such a company. Avoid.

My experience with YesChef was indeed great. I had a problem with YesChef none of their making. I reached out to Yes Chef to receive a near instant resolve to my predicament. I cannot speak to highly of this company, both the content itself which is excellent to the management itself in their attitude and actions.

I too was hit with an auto renew. No email or notice to let me know that it was coming up. I emailed the day after it was charged. I've been in touch, and I too have now been ghosted after three emails of me asking for a refund. Is an ok site, but not worth the $313 Canadian they hit my visa with. Wouldn't recommend getting involved with these guys.
They have corrected the issue. I appreciate that. If you do sign up, adjust your auto-renewal settings immediately.
