Our first experience with the gorillas in Uganda we had a wonderful trip up to the lodge with our guide for the 3 days Wilson He was very knowledgeable and took care of us. Upon arriving at the lodge we were treated like Vips the camp tent that we booked it came with 30 minute massages for both of us which we totally enjoyed. The bar and food was above what we could ever expect. Each night after dinner we would arrive back at our lodge to have a roaring fireplace a bottle of wine hot water bottles in our bed all the comforts. The laundry service was used an amazing they made every wish come true Wonderful birthday celebration for my husband Do not hesitate put this at the top of your list Will not disappoint

This is an amazing lodge with staff to match, so welcoming and extremely friendly and helpful at all times. Every room has an awesome view of the valleys and impenetrable forest. I would absolutely return and highly recommend this lodge to anyone, anytime.

Wonderful location at the top of the mountains in Uganda with wonderful views over the volcanoes. The access roads were a bit bumpy, but the lodge was well worth the trip. The attention to detail of the staff was top-notch as was the food.

The lodge is made up of beautiful cottages. Each cottage has fantastic views. We were facing the Bwindi forest, and every morning we watches as the fog rose from the trees. The other side of the property faces the Virunga mountain range between Uganda, Rwanda, and the DRC. Each cottage has a fireplace and patio. The property is currently building its permanent dining room, so we had our meals in the main building with views of the Virunga mountains. The food was excellent. The service was great. We had the staff bring us drinks to our cottage every night after dinner so we could sit on our patio and listen to the animals at night, and also see the stars. The property is located 5 minutes away from the Nkuringo entrance to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. This is important if you plan to go gorilla trekking. We were able to get up at 7AM, have our breakfast, and make it to the gorilla trekking briefing with time to spare. Other people who were trekking in our group had to get up at 4 or 5 AM to make it to the briefing in time. So I would highly recommend staying at this lodge if you plan to see gorillas. It also makes a difference when you are coming back from gorilla trekking because it can be quite strenuous to make it to where the gorillas are in the forest. And not having a 3 hours drive, while sitting in your sweaty closes makes everything more enjoyable.

This lodge was set in a beautiful location near Bwindi forest. We could look out at the village below and view the incomparable Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. The staff was so accommodating and knowledgeable and it was interesting to hear about their lives! Our gorilla trek was harder than we expected but SO worth it. To be in the presence of these great apes was such a privilege. Our female porters were amazing - ALWAYS GET A PORTER! The lodge then picked up our boots and dirty clothes after returning and cleaned them for us! The food was okay, but served with grace and warmth every day. Coffee/tea delivery to our room was a treat every morning! The drive to the lodge from the Kisoro airstrip was fascinating - driving through the villages and seeing the people in their everyday activities enlightened our understanding of Uganda.

Beautiful setting, lovely rooms , although we chose the terrace room for cost, the actual seperate units were magnificent! Nothing could detract from the wonderful caring staff!
