They provided very good material from different publications and also their in-house books. Their homework plan is very convenient and appropriate for the preparation. Exams are very helpful for the kids to practice and their website is very supportive to keep track of the progress .

My son studied with XL for 2 years throughout year 4 and year 5 and improved drastically. He started as a child with “below average” school report and ended up not at “as expected” level but with “exceeding expectation” in all subjects after just 1 year with XL. We then stayed for another year with XL for my son to consolidate his knowledge.

For our family personally, one of the biggest advantages in XL was the flexibility which lessons to attend (there are 4 lessons over the weekend, in the morning and afternoon on both days). During 2 years, while my son was studying with XL, I had to ask multiply times to move his regular session to another time or day due to various reasons, and every time this change was accommodated, even at a short notice, so that my son didn’t have to miss a lesson.

XL 11+ courses are very well organised with specific topic explained during each lesson which is then followed up by homework in various workbooks to reinforce learnt concepts. Each term kids are given new set of books, so there is no shortage of workbooks to practise at home.

XL online platform is exceptional, with new tests loaded weekly, and answers then explained once each test is complete.

During year 5 course, XL offers 10 mock tests as part of the course (half online and half in person), which was brilliant, as this gave my son chance to practise taking exam and prepared him mentally to remove stress from the actual exam day.

We don’t live locally to XL location, so we had to travel to XL classes every weekend, as there are no other providers closer to where we live who offer 11+ courses at the same level as XL.

Few years ago, my oldest son tried different 11+ classes locally, which were also very good, but XL managed to outperform them. Having sons attending different courses, I can compare them and highly recommend going to XL.

I like the mockathons run by the company plus the regular rigour it brings to the students

very good teaching and provides books and other required materials. overall the course is very structured and full comprehensive which covers multiple exam patterns.

XL is great for supporting students for 11+ exams.It stands out with other tutoring providers in the level of planning and are very organised.
My son is currently in year 5 and we are with them from when he was in year3.
He has been independent in learning and needed no support from us apart from marking up.
Their online portal is good.students has the opportunity to sweep,retake the tests.Parents are given detailed report analytics.This gives us a clear picture of the topics which needs attention with.
Mocks are apt and reports give ranking in relation to peers.
