Yo sushi Korean chicken rice bowl from Tesco. Absolutely revolting, bordering on inedible. Claggy overcooked rice with about a dozen thin strips of raw cabbage on top. Sauce was like sugar sy... Leggi di più

Lovely food, disorganised service
Lovely food as always. Great choice on the belt. Unfortunately, the service was so disappointing. The staff were friendly but seemed disorganised, wandering around aimlessly while customers were literally waving them down for attention. Unacceptable when it wasn’t a full restaurant and it’s mostly self-service on the food.
We had to wait a long time to be offered drinks, not a chance on getting refills we and waited ages again for the bill. I really miss the call buttons and self-serve water taps, which made things much smoother in the past.
The weirdest thing: the chef nearby was repeatedly ringing the bell for service and there was nobody around to take the food. After a few minutes of unsuccessful ringing, I lightheartedly said to him, oh we’re struggling for service too! But rather than apologise or try to get us help, he just looked at me in embarrassment - or bemusement - and then looked away, completely ignoring me! No offer to help us service or anything. Bizarre behaviour.
The biggest issue, though, was confusion over the 3 plates for £9.95 deal. Neither the website nor the restaurant displays clear terms or conditions. It’s not stated whether the deal is per person or simply per multiples of three plates, and the staff were unsure themselves.
Then we were told we couldn’t order hot food as part of the deal — even though there’s no mention of that anywhere. But we were told cold food was allowed, including hand rolls, so we ordered them. Then, when calculating the bill at the end, we were told by someone else they were not included! We questioned it and they allowed it “just this time”. This created such an awkward situation and was extra frustrating when we’d double checked before we ordered. They said that some of the food on the menu was available to be ordered online as part of the deal, but no one could really clarify what those meals were.
Please make the offer details absolutely clear — both online and in store — and ensure all staff are briefed. That way everyone will know what’s included without a whole load of unnecessary hassle.
Also, some hospitality training is definitely needed. (Although one of the waitresses - my son thought she looked like Enid Sinclair - was absolutely lovely!)
I emailed them about it 5 days ago but no reply yet…
Package sushi sold at Tesco
Package sushi sold at Tesco
As one of the larger sushi companies in the UK, they can’t even cook rice properly — it’s hard and dry. I just don’t understand how they can keep operating like this. If they really want to make Japanese sushi, they should at least hire an East Asian trainer to teach new staff how to cook proper sushi rice, instead of wasting food like this.
Really terrible quality Salmon sushi…
Really terrible quality Salmon sushi tray from Tesco, the rice is badly overcooked and stale and it’s mostly stale fish and cucumber maki. Not worth paying 10 pounds for this piece of garbage
Overpriced and cold
Got delivery from Deliveroo ... paid for fast delivery ... food was cold and portions were small. The cost was excessive for the amount we got. Wont be ordering again from them - Worcester Yo! - rip off!!!!
Milton Keynes
Milton Keynes. They forgot to bring us the drinks. I have subscribed to receive a £10 rewards and the voucher never arrived, so in my first visit I couldn't use it. I needed a knife to cut my kid's chicken and they didn't have a knife. The food was not worth the money.

Overcharged - Wed for the 3 plates for £9.95
Went on Wed for the 3 plates for £9.95. Even though we asked and were told what we could order we were charged over £52 for 6 plates and 2 drinks! Waiter refused to reissue / refund bill - feel robbed!
False advertising.
York designer outlet branch.
I ordered the Salmon Dragon Rolls that clearly show 8 individual roles all with a slice of salmon on top. What I received was 7 rolls with 6 slices of Salmon. I returned the food only to be told by the very rude server that the photo is only a guide.
She went on to ague the fact good and proper but I wasn’t going to back down. Eventually she asked someone prepping food to pass her 1 more roll and two slices of salmon to make up the short fall. I thought this would have been a one off so I left it there. I returned last week ordering the same food. Again the Salmon Dragon Rolls wasn’t correct. This time 8 rolls and 6 slices of salmon.
I also received warm rice. This place is a joke and they wonder why they have “Restaurants” closing up and down the country.
Needless to say I won’t be returning.
Very Disappointing and dirty
Saddened to say Braehead Glasgow Yo Sushi has lost its status as a great place to eat. The service is not great, under staffed and just not good.
The food is not fresh as it used to be I ordered Teriyaki Beef this was crunchy cardboard, soaked it sweet sickly sauce to add flavour, with bits of deep fried batter from something else. No veg as stated on menu and sticky dry rice. Food very disappointing definitely not a real sushi place. Salmon and avo roll was not even rolled nice or made like it should be.
Hygiene omg !!! This is the worst no chefs cleaning as they go, salmon bits lying all over the work stations, absolutely dirty counter where you eat. Thick greasy ingrained dirt in corners and soya sauce bottles full of greasy stains and finger marks not very clean. The place was grotty tbh.
I am afraid to say wont go back and on top of that over priced.
Expensive, not fresh and doesn't work.
There was an offer on at my local Hull Tesco Extra for various sized dishes all for £20. However non of the packaging names corresponded with the deal. For instance the deal said "any combo box" and "any side". Nothing had the words combo box or side written on them. Nobody was available to help. It's quite possible I got all the items to make up the deal but because they had 50p knocked off here and £1 knocked off there I think I ended up paying more for limited dated stock. I spent £65 for 4 people. Instructions when I got home were poor "place on a container"?? and sometimes had stickers over them which meant you couldn't read them at all and they tore if you tried to ease them off. You had to fiddle about with multiple microwavable dishes as non of the katsu dishes could be heated in their own containers. The katsu dishes were basically three quarters of a sliced up chicken burger on top of some very dry rice and a very basic and overly spiced sauce. There were no descriptions as to how spicy the dishes were so unfortunately the katsu and kfc sauce (whatever that is) dishes were too spicy for my boys. Sushi rolls were really dry and flavourless and crumbled to bits. No accompanying soy sauce, wasabi paste or pickled ginger. Honestly, for £65 I can get miles better from my local sushi takeaway. This was absolute garbage. And yes I've ticked the box to let Yo Sushi see this review.

We bought a salmon selects small platter £7.95 from Tesco's in Bangor North Wales. It was tasteless. Salmon slimy. Will not try again and will buy the off the shelf sushi from Sainsbury's/Lidl which at least comes with all the extras - soy, wasabi, ginger for half the price.
Itsu sushi better and cheaper
The last few times I had yo sushi salmon nigiri iv been disappointed. The salmon slices have gone smaller. I find bones still in them. Very expensive compared to itsu sushi.
Not great
Not great, bland food not much flavour the rice could have been loaded as bullets...
Not good won't return
lack of customer service
To be honest its only the food that warrants stars which was generally very good. I would avoid the fried chicken as quite frankly its just chicken Nuggets with no flavour or seasoning.
I visited the Cheshire Oaks branch and found the automatic service charge addition an insult given i had to ask a disinterested employee several times for a menu. He then appeared more interested in his IPad standing away in a corner than in any attempt at customer service. Ive been to other branches and never experienced this before. So as for a service charge i would not mind if i received any service. Just as well it was not my first time visiting s it would put me off the chain.
