We had a wren kitchen 12 months ago. I now feel disappointed and that there was a clear disjoint between the design and actual practically of our kitchen. Don’t get me wrong, our kitchen is nice but it’s not what I wanted…. Small things in the wrong place practically and some poor installation points as this is done by a 3rd party. I wish I would have gone with Wickes now.

Starting with Mags who designed the kitchen - she was fantastic and provided a great design and was helpful throughout the process. Every thing was delivered on time and complete. During the kitchen fit a couple of things had minor damage and Mags and Crystal were helpful in sending out replacements. Overall the kitchen design and new units have transformed our existing space and Wren were easy and friendly to deal with providing a competent and efficient service.

this post is to make the people of Yorkshire aware of the very poor and unprofessional service wren Wakefield offer not just to the public but to the trade. All this is down the the rude and unhelpful store manager ().
First one of my customers entered the store wanting some advice on worktops, but soon as he found out she had already had a quote from another branch he turned her away and would not help her at all, wouldn’t give her any of his time and told her to go look around her self! (This very near caused my customer to cancel her kitchen altogether but because the Doncaster branch were so good saved the sale)

I sent a customer into wren she chose which branch her self to go to, unfortunately she ended up in the worst store in the uk (Wakefield) just to put it out there the designers and (assistant manager) are and were fantastic, my customer gave our details as a trade referral but designer couldn’t find us for some strange reason she had a quote and then tried again a few weeks later to give our details again couldn’t do it! She then phoned us to let us know, we thn contacted Wakefield wren and ended up speaking to manager Wow I have never experienced a call like it the unwillingness to help was unreal. I explained what had happened and he refused to put as a trade referral stating this isn’t a referral and I need to call ahead (baring in mind my branch is Doncaster and he wouldn’t have got a sale at all) saying he needs evidence this is a referral! My customer rang up on several occasions and said it was a referral she would have gone elsewhere had we not recommended wren to them, still refusing to put as a trade referral even though all the staff in Wakefield branch are saying it is a referral including the designer. This has now been escalated and complaints logged about this so called manager and how bad he is treating people.
If a member of public or a tradesman is wanting to use wren stay very clear of this branch and go elsewhere nothing but rude and argumentative attitude from the manager
We will never use Wakefield branch ever! Until this terrible manager is replaced!!!
Update 28th April
This kitchen was delivered 6-8 weeks ago and still not complete due to the incompetence of the Wakefield branch and the amount of errors, trade refusing to speak to me because the manager thinks he’s the king ding of wren and wouldn’t put as a referral when clearly was, so as a public sale anything damaged or incorrect takes forever to sort out or replace, wrens compact laminate isn’t worth it all worktops replaced due to bowing etc. designed on Belfast sink and ended up sending the units for an over mount sink! Then changed to Belfast unit, u it too small. Absolute nightmare never witnessed anything like this! 5th visit to a kitchen which should have been complete in 3-4 days. Who’s paying my labour to keep going

We bought a kitchen front the Wren showroom on Leeds Road Huddersfield in 2018.
It was the gloss cream shaker design.
About three weeks ago we noticed a crack in the integrated fridge door. On closer inspection the laminate had started to de laminate...what to do just short of 8 years down the line.
Decided it was worth a visit to the show room in wakefield. At this point I was only looking to source a replacement door.. but not holding out much hope ..
Greeted baba very nice young man Ben...told that our kitchen is discontinued. He took the photos and emailed the warranty department..told by Ben someone would be in touch later today. Still a little sceptical..
Sure enough at turned 5pm Mathew from the warranty department phoned. With two offers i was stunned with ...replace all doors and end panels pelmets and architrave and skirting and contribute £750 towards the cost of installation or a payment of £1030 both to end the warranty.
Opted for the former. Everything delivered on time ..some things needing more contact with warranty department ...who ever I spoke with couldn't have been more helpful..
The work is done. It looks fantastic.
The installers couldn't believe the service that we had. Indeed the said you must review this.
Thankyou to all at Wren who went above and beyond anything I coukd have hoped for.

This my second purchase from Wakefield. The first experience was 10/10 as my previous review testified to. This order also did not disappoint. This time Magdelane was my designer and main contact but Ben my previous designer also offered some input for old times sake. Mags is totally on the ball and offered me a great Utility room. My previous order was a kitchen. Shehad sorted my daughter out with a dream kitchen prior so I was obviously confident with her knowledge and skills. The deal was done and the wheels were put in motion. As it happens , I the painful procrastinator, did a swift revision and owing to my oversight l needed to swap a cupboard for drawers. I swung by the store on spec captured Mags before she could runaway and minutes later and ten taps on a keyboard the order was revised. All at Wakefield are a fabulous crew and are always welcoming and cordial , even to a luneytoon like me! Everything went as previous, perfect! The measuring guy, the logistics team and the delivery crew were shining examples of customer care/ service! Very importantly the comms, comprehensive product inventory for my fitter left no stone unturned. We did experience a slightly damaged larder unit door which I reported to the C .S team and with in minutes of submitting a photo the replacement was on its way "stated on the tin" thanks to a very clued up and helpful Louise . Rhea should also get a call out here as she was very helpful on an interim call.I'm confident on the unlikely event of any future issue it will be dealt with appropriately! Don't hesitate to use these guys!

Edited - their customer care team have been very good last couple of days and are replacing the plinths that have peeling coatings again, I’m not changing my comments on the matt finish though and would strongly advise you to reconsider if this is the finish you’d like but I’ve heard gloss can be as bad so who knows 🤔
Two years after buying this kitchen I just want to rip it out, the quality has been shocking with several areas losing the protective film, they just look terrible, we unfortunately chose the black matt finish which in my humble opinion shouldn’t even be sold, it’s absolutely impossible to keep clean, not even closely, you only have to breath on it in passing and it marks the surface and yes I’ve tried their cleaning advice and every matt cleaning product known to man and it makes zero difference, in fact if the sun shines into the kitchen I just want to burn it all it’s that bad! I really want to change it but given the cost and it just being a couple of years old there’s no chance of that so we’re stuck with it, absolutely awful product

Do not opt for quartz, at your own peril! I am now on week six of getting this kitchen sorted, first attempt to fit quartz worktops, installer broke it on transport and lied regarding who had done it, second attempt resulted in a missing strut from the kitchen table box, unable to fit quartz table top onto the legs. Third attempt, this is the clincher, hold onto your pants! It now appears that my round quartz table identifies as a square quartz table! I'm so ecstatic about this imamimate objects choice of shape, however I not of the whole Gen Z approach, and would prefer my table, a round one, with zero corners, and minus some kind of entitled attitude of which I owe it some reparation, instead I do dever to ask, what exactly is it I should receive for my £3,500 of Quartz, other than several attempts to fit something that clearly can not be designed, made, transported and fit, after three bloody attempts!
No one in this business is taking any ownership of the problem, other than my "Case Manager", salesman has done one, branch manager has done one, and now my own Wren authorised fitter is about to do one, as this kitchen is two to three weeks overdue!
Have to love the Wren App, I'm at that end point where it shows my dream kitchen is all installed and it's now time to share it on social media etc......just one itsy bitsy fecking problem, it ain't!!!
Dream kitchen is a flaming nightmare, got first installers that looked as dirty as their van, lied about damaging the quartz, second installers were superb I have to say, they resolved the Chuckle Brothers antics, however they were sent out a second time to fit the 'round table' that identifies as a 'square table'
....at this point I'm now deliberating what was the point, I have the best kitchen fitter by miles, but my God, Wren just can't match him, absolute shambles, and worst part, a manager never attempts to raise his/her head above the parapet, shameful!!!

The bedroom fitter was on time, polite, tidy and extremely efficient.
He took great care to not damage our carpets and walls etc.
Overall a brilliant experience from start to finish.

Kitchen still not finished almost 6 months later. Replacement items for drawers broken by installer were wrong type and insufficient materials originally sent. Top up materials wrong kind. Despite Head office closing case and showroom promising to resolve still have broken draw and unboxed boiler

Pros
Visiting the showroom was a pleasant experience where we could see all the different materials and builds. Our customer rep was also great and helped along the way.
Installation team, were both efficient and respectful of the property getting the work to high standards.
Cons
Aftercare
We were told we would be contacted with waste removal post installation but heard nothing so had to contact to arrange. Aftercare team then told us the collection of waste would be 8 days post installation but noone arrived. 11 days post installation I had to reach out again and enquire why they didn't come to collect and could we have another date to which I got a very blunt response saying that there was nothing on the record about how much were needed to be collected and how many appliance were to be collected. But this was for a bedroom wardrobe so no common sense used. Still unresolved.

Update, from our trust pilot review we had a manager from customer services contact us, stating that they would be our direct contact going forwards to resolve all our issues, (sounded so positive) and could we give our availability, this was via email, when we gave our availability, guess what, not heard another word from them.
We have issues with missing items and damaged cupboard door and a damaged fridge however the app does ability to order new which is a positive. Along with the quartz team getting in touch and apologising for the rude, aggressive and obstructive assistant we had spoken to previously and got us a quartz mapping and fitting to coinside with us moving in.
However we were not informed of the instillation guides on the website to help our own instiller it would have been very helpful to have been informed of this prior (had to sack wrens installation guy due to him refusing to do majority of the originally agreed works and not turning up on day b1) . finally in this review, the designer ordered a sink unit that was too small for the sink, we realised this after the installer tried to make it fit, wren quoted ' we accept responsibility for that but if you hadn't made modification we would have swapped it'. thanks wren!!!! actually one last thing, the kitchen design was wrong for a second time and a panel next to the pantry would not fit in, so we have this left over and had to again modify the design they did.

I put my initial review on here and Wren response was I reported damaged fridge/freezer on 2nd and they collected 9th. They initially said replacement or collection not until the 29th. Only when I said not acceptable and I would put item in a van and bring to the showroom to show customers the lack of checks before sent out did they say they would pick up on the 14th and then I have to wait up to 15 days for refund
