Two week ago I finished my kitchen renovation, and honestly, it was a bit of a rollercoaster. The end result looks great, but the whole process was pretty stressful, and there are definitely things I’d do differently if I could.
Design
After visiting three other places where the designers weren’t great, meeting the Wren designer was such a breath of fresh air. She was very knowledgeable, efficient and thorough. She helped me stay within my tight budget, which was a huge relief. The design process was actually fun and straightforward, and her communication was spot on the whole time. At that point, I was confident I’d made the right choice with Wren. During the appointment we discussed the pros and cons of purchasing ready assembled units vs flat packed ones. I ultimately decided to go for ready assembled units. The prospect of saving my fitters time and the superior precision of machine-built units gave me much more confidence in the quality of the finished product. In "real life" we had issues with the design. My fitters kept questioning why there were so many fillers used and we didn't have enough splashback to fit behind the hob. In the original design the tek wall goes all the way behind the hob. In reality we didn’t have enough of it to cover the area with one piece. To fix this issue I had to purchased a made to measure coloured glass splashback to cover it instead of a transparent glass as per the original design.
Fitters
Finding good fitters is a challenge and it is such a vital part of the process. Wren quoted for fitting at about £3,000, which seemed reasonable ( my kitchen is about 3.5 metres x 2 metres) . When the Wren fitter came to do the home visit, quoted just over £4,000 for "extras," including £1,800 for electrics — even though there was no rewiring needed, and most sockets and switches were staying in the same place. That pushed the total fitting cost to about £7,000. It was more expensive than the kitchen itself. I emailed Wren about how preposterous the whole fitting price was , but I didn't heard much back. Later, I was given another fitter’s contact, but he never got in touch. It was pretty disappointing because I truly wanted the peace of mind of Wren fitting it and using their 0% finance. Instead, I had to find the fitters myself, which added stress and extra costs.
Delivery
The delivery team was polite and helpful — communication about the date was clear. The units arrived fully assembled and took up a lot of space in my living room (no garage), so they were stacked. Because they were so heavy, my partner and I could only inspect a few when they arrived. When we finally got to see all of them on installation day (14.2.26), we found some issues: the sink base unit was cracked in two places and misaligned, and it had dirt marks inside. It didn’t look brand new or machined assembled. The dowel holes at the back were damaged, and the front wood panel was broken. The top of the pull-out bin was also damaged, probably from stacking heavy units on top. I tried to contact Wren’s customer support, but they don’t work weekends. When I ordered replacement parts through their app, the next delivery date was scheduled for 27.2.26. Suddenly things became very stressful.
The installers offered to repair the units so we could start fitting. I did get a partial refund, but it was disappointing to have received a unit that clearly wasn't new and a damage unit and being told I have to wait 13 days for a replacement.
Once the work started, I ran into more issues related to the quality of the units. The bases of the drawers were very solid however they were all jagged, like they’d been cut with a hand saw, there was a noticeable gap between the base and the front panel. They are very solid drawers but the assembly and finishing were poor. There was (and still is) a noticeable gap between the bottom and front panel.
Wren's customer service team were helpful and polite. I was told they’d send me new drawers, but instead they sent just bases. My builders had already left, so my partner and I had to take them apart and put them back together ourselves. Even after doing that, there’s a gap at the bottom — I can see my feet through the space in between the bottom and front drawer panel when they open. This is still is a huge source of frustration. They are strong and functional but that gap shouldn't be there.
My advice, based on my experience. Don't pay more for fully assembled units. The promises of quality, finish and time saving don't match the reality. If you decide to go for fully assembled units, definitely make sure you have a big space to lay out and check every box as soon as they arrive. Don’t stack them in a way that makes inspecting difficult. Replacement parts can take a long time to arrive, and hidden damage can really mess up your timeline and add a lot of stress.

Slick process from the free at home measuring service, in store planning session, ordering, changes, fitter visit, delivery, fitting, quartz measurement team, quartz delivery and fitting team, fitter revisit to fine tune and sign off. Big thanks to Mark re planning, Jagdeep re fitting and Harry re coordinating. Quality, modern well fit kitchen with state of the art appliances and top quality quartz worktops, splash backs and upstands. Excellent communication throughout the 3 week process.

Excellent, professional service from initial planning and order placement with Mark who discussed everything in precise detail. We had multiple appointments to discuss and finalise the order. We were able to view the final plan in a 3D render. The order was delivered with care by Lewis and his team - both were polite and professional - they placed items where instructed with care. Having a new kitchen fitted can be daunting but we were assured and given confidence of the process from beginning to end. Highly recommended.

Not very nice staff. After contract, they don't stay the same. We agreed on some items on which we were told you can pick up anytime after the contract. We just specially came here to pick up the items and they said we can't give them to you yet. Very disappointing waste of time, and we'll not recommend
As they told us that the person we dealt with does not know the process .. while she was very nice through out ... and we can't give you the items until after delivery ... most disappointing is that we had to take time out and come ... 😔 😟 🙁

Horrible company, they lie straight to your face! Don't go to wren you will regret it! We have had a horrible experience today!
Today our kitchen was delivered we had ordered for self fitting, we had spoken to our adviser at wren about this multiple times we asked direct pointed questions 'is everything pre cut to fit' she said yes, we asked again 'do we need to cut or build anything ourselves' she said no everything will arrive rebuilt ready to place!
We get our delivery today nothing is cut to the measurements of our kitchen it wouldn't even fit in the house (the guy came out to measure said there shouldn't be any problems getting everything in) there is no instructions for anything, everything is just all over the place. We called wren to explain the situation to which there answer was we didn't say that, this is how it all comes you have to cut it yourself!
This is disgraceful, even the delivery driver had a problem with how it was handled! Save yourself some time and peace and go somewhere else he'll even b&q will pre cut a hole for the goddamn sink!
You basically pay this company a fortune for them to just give you slabs of wood that you can't even get in the house safely and for you to do all the work, if we had been informed we would have booked the instalation!

Awful customer service. We ordered a kitchen in July but later decided to change the handles. When I called Wren to order different handles (which I was more than willing to pay for), I was told I could only order more of the original handles. The only way to get different ones, apparently, was to buy an entirely new kitchen. Completely unreasonable and unacceptable policy.

This experience has been so frustrating I feel compelled to warn others. On 7th August when my kitchen was delivered, I received some of the wrong colour items in grey. I contacted customer service and was assured a replacement would be sent. Today, 27th August, the replacement arrived… and it’s grey again.
How can the same mistake happen twice? It’s beyond careless. The lack of attention to detail and poor communication have made this whole process incredibly stressful. I regret purchasing my kitchen from this company and would not recommend them to anyone.
I’ve asked for the correct items to be delivered this week and for my complaint to be escalated. Let’s see if they can get it right on the third attempt.

We purchased a kitchen from wren for our first house. We was happy with the whole process up untill fitting, we opted to fit it ourselves due to cost.
We bought the quartz worktops so that was fitted by wren which was done on there terms and didn't leave us much time to fit the kitchen at our own pace, so that added Abit of stress.
The instructions weren't great and some parts took Abit of figuring out. Overall we are happy with the kitchen.

Purchased a kitchen front wren, Lucas the guy who installed it was absolutely fantastic did a bespoke job can't praise him enough , and it looks great but the customer service side of wren is truly shocking .Had the kitchen fitted in may and wanted the flooring all the way into the bathroom which is down stairs , The bathroom couldn't be done due to an undetected leak , so we are due and still waiting for some money back on the install..I've phoned sent emails..still waiting..we are now going into August & I'm still waiting...really shoddy customer service

Nothing was too much trouble for her, and she took the time to make sure everything was perfect for us.
Her customer service skills are honestly second to none, she made what could have been a stressful experience feel so easy and enjoyable. We can’t thank her enough for all her help and support.
