Absolutely horrible experience! Avoid!

I will never recommend this company.

What a terrible experience! Installing a kitchen is already inconvenient, but the way this was handled made it ten times worse. By the end of my dealings with this company, I just wanted to wash my hands of the entire experience.

The initial consultation went well; however, as soon as we paid our deposit, all communication seemed to stop. We were given a rundown of what to expect in the coming weeks after paying the deposit, but none of that happened. The allocation of the installer took ages, which added to the very narrow timeframe between securing a delivery date and the cutoff for production. When the installer was approved and came to assess the kitchen, he suggested modifications to the design to make it work. However, when he looked at the items delivered, he noted that he didn’t think those design adjustments had been made. This made trying to fit the kitchen a game of “let’s see what we can do with what we have.” One whole cupboard piece that fit an oven wasn't even needed, resulting in wasted money due to poor design.

The quality of the delivered items was extremely poor (especially considering the price). There were chips (especially at the edges), and one corner was slightly dented (luckily, it faced the wall, so you can't see it unless you look closely). It's unfortunate and attests to how bad the experience was that instead of complaining, we accepted it because: a) getting replacements takes weeks (we are still waiting for a small piece of about 30 cm of edging that was not supplied according to the design, and that has a three-week wait), and b) we were so fed up that we just wanted the kitchen installed so we could be done with Wren’s.

Arranging a delivery date was a disaster. Their attitude was like they were doing us a favor, even though we are paying for it. It was eventually escalated to management and was only resolved when I got frustrated enough to tell them to cancel the whole thing. They wanted to deliver on the same day that remedial plumbing work was being done, and during the first two days of ripping out the kitchen. Even the installer found it bizarre that they would try to deliver the kitchen at that time. Instead of Wren managing the communication with their approved installer, I had to play the middleman between the delivery team, the designer, and the installer, trying to find a date that suited everyone. It was incredibly stressful and took away from the joy of having a new kitchen installed.

For the price of the kitchen and the installation, I expected much more, but I feel like we barely got the minimum.

Avoid at all costs.

Unsafe, unreliable company! DO NOT TRUST THEM

Avoid Wren Kitchens at all costs.

This has been one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had. They delivered all the wardrobe boxes to my house and completely failed to install it as agreed. They missed the original installation date, rescheduled, and then didn’t show up again — no accountability, no explanation.

It has now been over two weeks and I am still left with large, heavy boxes taking over my home. This is not just inconvenient, it is dangerous — especially with children and pets around. We have repeatedly told them we are willing to wait for installation, but asked them at the very least to collect the boxes. They have completely ignored this request.

Communication is a joke. I have to chase them every single day. They promise callbacks that never happen. No updates, no ownership, no resolution. It feels like once you place the order, they simply stopped caring.

Trying to escalate the issue is impossible — there is no one available, no manager, no accountability whatsoever. For a company that claims to have high standards of customer service in the UK, this is honestly shocking.

Unprofessional, unreliable, and unsafe. Do not trust them with your money or home.

My total experience with Wren Kitchen from Basingstoke has been brilliant. From the start, designing our kitchen to the delivery was excellent and we cannot fault .

The salesman Louis was brilliant and guided along the way to purchase the kitchen .

We had one issues with a cupboard unit which was sorted out straight away.

The units' finish is useless for…

The units' finish is useless for kitchen wear and tear.
We are a 60 year plus couple living on our own (no small children around)
and yet the units are marked and chipped, not suitable for us let alone a family with children. The cupboards started to chip a few months after they were fitted. Please people do not waste your money.

Great quality kitchen, but advice and fitting could be better

We’re very pleased with the quality of Wren’s cabinets and materials. Everything looks great, and any missing items were replaced promptly.
The main concern has been with the advice and installation process. We weren’t properly guided about important options, such as an undermount sink, which would have been a better fit for a quartz worktop.
Once the contract was signed, we couldn’t make even simple exchanges, even for unopened items of equal value, which felt quite rigid.
The quartz templating also resulted in a poorly positioned tap, and Wren declined to help, citing that we had “signed off”. As customers, we rely on expert guidance from the retailers, so this was very disappointing.
There was also a long gap between the kitchen delivery and the quartz templating and installation, which delayed completion by more than two weeks.
Overall, great product quality, but the advice, flexibility, and aftercare could be much better.

We’re sorry to learn that parts of your experience did not meet expectations. We do offer a wide variety of products on display in our showrooms, allowing customers to see both undermount and overmount sink options in person. Both are compatible with quartz worktops, and it’s ultimately the customer’s choice to decide which best suits their needs.

Regarding the tap position, this is clearly detailed on the quartz templating documents provided for review before production. Once these are checked and signed off, the worktops move into manufacture, and the tap hole is cut exactly as shown, so no further adjustments can be made at that stage.

We appreciate your feedback about flexibility and timelines and will ensure it’s shared with the relevant teams for review. Thank you again for your comments, and we hope you continue to enjoy your new kitchen for many years to come.

Multiple issues, slow fixes, and ongoing frustration

We chose Wren because we wanted a good quality, reliable solution for our wardrobe, and Wren were able to seemingly provide the functionality we wanted – but unfortunately the whole experience has been frustrating from the start.

First, we were sold a pull-out draw that turned out to be completely incompatible with our sliding wardrobe doors. This was a design oversight that should never have been recommended, and it meant weeks of waiting, extra installer visits, and disruption during working hours. On top of that, we were sent the wrong size chest of drawers, adding to the delays. And on top of THAT, we were promised that the drawers could be free standing so we could be flexible on where they went, and on installation it actually had to be fitted to the wall with our skirting boards removed.

Wren did eventually offer a tiny compensation, after I complained and pushed twice, but they would not budge on their second offer that absolutely did not remotely reflect the impact of the issues caused.

Now, just a month after installation, the sliding doors themselves have stopped working properly – the very reason we chose Wren in the first place. I've reported it and was told it would take 5 working days just to be assigned someone, let alone arrange the time to visit to get it sorted. In other words, I’ve got no functioning wardrobe doors and no clear idea when the problem will actually be fixed.

This level of service is disappointing. My feedback to Wren is:
1. Make sure the design is fit for purpose, and customers are not sold on empty promises, especially if that's in their requirements and would have gone elsewhere otherwise!
2. Improve your communication and speed when problems arise, your departments don't speak with each other so I had to arrange all the calls, deliveries and fitters myself.
3. Take customer disruption seriously - repeated delays, repeated faults, repeated calls to your individual departments to sort your issue, is a real problem and I don't feel like this has been taken seriously at all.

Moving forward for myself, and if asked, I would always recommend researching other providers first before going with Wren.

Latest update: door still not fixed, can’t get into some of my wardrobe. Can’t find someone to come and fix the problem 3 weeks since reporting it, and still get told to wait another 5 working days on top.
