I first met James 10 years ago, when I was 58, and we discussed a facelift. I wasn’t ready. This year I had a clear and very explanatory consult with James and still wasn’t ready. At no time did I feel under pressure to make a decision and I have found him to be thoughtful and compassionate every step of the way. I had the facelift on August 8th and I am very pleased with it and with the experience at Woods. I recommend it!

I cannot recommend or praise Woodmedispa enough.
First, James McDiarmid is a magician. I knew, from the start of my consultation with James, that he was the surgeon I was meant to use.
From the time I booked my consultation through to aftercare I have been treated as an individual and not just ‘another case’.
Woodmedispa itself is stunning and more like a hotel than a hospital but it is the staff that really make this place special.
The entire team at Woodmedispa are outstanding and every member of staff goes above and beyond. Woodmedispa employ some of the kindest, most caring people I have ever met and I couldn’t have asked for a better bunch to be part of this life changing experience. I recently had an extended deep plane face lift, lip lift, brow lift and under eye blepharoplasty by the talented and expert surgeon James McDiarmid at Woodmedi Spa.

I was supported to understand the process all of the way through the consultation and then once I had signed up to have the procedures.

On the day of my surgery I was met and supported by compassionate nursing and care, staff reducing my anxiety. The staff were excellent ensuring that I was comfortable during my two night stay. The food was amazing, fine dining standard and the endless supply of hot and cold drinks.

I was discharged with clear after care instructions and attended a week later to have the stitches removed expertly by one of the nurses.

Being honest the surgery was extensive and the recovery time longer than I had expected, but the results are outstanding. Four weeks on and I look probably 15 years younger and feel amazing, no more hiding my neck all winter with polo neck jumpers.

James McDiarmid is a surgical artist and the results are amazing, I would absolutely recommend using Woodmedi Spa to anyone considering rejuvenating surgery,

My first experience of the treatment I received. Wood Medispa, South Tawton, Devon is set in beautiful grounds and magnificent building. From the moment you arrive you are made to feel at ease. Dr Toby Nelson carried out cryotherapy. He explained in detail what would happen and checked that I understood and was happy to proceed. I was treated with respect and kindness by all members of the Medispa team involved and felt it was good value. I would recommend Dr Nelson and Medispa.

After searching for years I FINALLY discovered Dr. Paul and I'm so happy that I waited and came from Texas all the way to the UK for him to do my foreheadplasty surgery! He was so nice, answered all of my questions, made me feel so comfortable and welcomes and honestly has the best assistant (Karen) and coworkers/staff that I've ever met! I had BA surgery in June 2022. I had the most fantastic experience. James and the anaesthetist visited me before surgery and talked me through everything. Then nurses were just so fantastic and lovely. The food post surgery was really excellent ( I felt like I was at a posh restaurant !) the teas were so good too. I cannot fault anything, my results from surgery have been great! I was at the gym again after 4 weeks and running after 2 weeks. I would recommend James and his team to anyone. I will no doubt be back in future. Surgery date 25.5.22

I recently attended Wood MediSpa. The staff were great the surgery was extensive and involved a 2 night stay, I had no pain and the results are fantastic, even better than I anticipated. The building and grounds are amazing, I cannot recommend it more highly.

I can’t fault medispa. They are professional but super friendly, they make you feel so at ease and really care. I felt extremely well looked after and I’m beyond thrilled with my results. The aftercare has been great too and I feel that I can call them any time if I have any questions. I would highly recommend having your surgery at Wood MediSpa. The food is phenomenal too 😜

I recently attended Wood MediSpa for my 3rd procedure with James. Once again I am blown away by the results of his magic scalpel! The whole team, as always, were absolutely fantastic! Wouldn’t go anywhere else!

Dr James Mcdairmaid was wonderful. I couldn’t have had a better experience with him. I had an upper blepherolplasty and he managed to do EXACTLY what I wanted, and the result is better than I expected.
The ladies at the desk were great at getting me booked, and helping me on the day.
I have and will continue to recommend James to my friends, and anyone else who would need this procedure.

I recently had breast reduction and uplift surgery with James. My experience was extremely positive from the beginning. James put me at ease and I knew straight away that I wanted to have the surgery and booked the date for op at the consultation appt.

My stay was very pleasant, it was as far from a normal hospital as it could have been and I was treated with respect and dignity at all times. The assistants and nurses were so friendly and kind and could not do enough for me. I really appreciated the yummy food and it was nice to feel spoiled.

James is a very talented surgeon: and he worked his magic!! I am extremely happy with my results now that the swelling has gone down I can see the true result. It’s the best thing I have ever done for myself! I would recommend James and Wood Medispa to anyone (and I have!)

The only feedback I would offer is that the communication from Wood Medispa was very sparse between my consultation and the surgery. Sometimes emails are not responded to for a couple of days and I would have appreciated more contact to feel that everything was in place for the op and perhaps some reassurance! But to be honest everything went perfectly otherwise and I’m so happy!

I decided to visit Dr Toby Nelson at Wood medispa after the thoughts of a very long wait on the NHS sent my anxiety into over drive. This turned out to be a great decision.
On arriving at the beautiful Manor House & stunning gardens my mind was taken off my worries.
I was seen promptly by Dr Nelson and he instantly reassured me & clearly explained things.
We decided on a quick biopsy there and then, he was caring & gentle and I didn't feel a thing!
After weeks of anxiety & worry I left feeling positive.
I would not hesitate in returning to Wood medispa in the future all the staff I encountered were lovely & I highly recommend any consultation or treatment with the wonderful Dr Toby Nelson.

From day one Paul made this an easy decision for me. He advised me on what would give me the best results and I was happy for him to go ahead with my TT which incorporated MR and liposuction. I am thrilled with the results and cannot thank Paul enough after never having a flat tummy ever...I do now!
I would not hesitate to recommend his professional approach but also gentle and understanding manner.

Wow wow and wow!! From the minute you drive through the Grade 1 listed gardens to the main Grade 2 listed house… it’s so beautiful..
My journey; Absomino Plasty Vaser Lioosuction and fat transfer - what an experience, I absolutely loved every minute of it.
The lovely Mr Paul Wilson, my surgeon who was so reassuring and made me feel so at ease and so comfortable. What he doesn’t know is not worth knowing! I am so chuffed with the initial results and can’t wait to see the final new me in 6 weeks time when all healed.. thank you Paul!
The marvellous nursing team, Holly, Ella, Denise, Janice and Kevin their 1-1 care and general concern for me, it was just lovely…and I can’t thank them all enough!

I am over the moon with my experience at Wood MediSpa. I underwent my first surgery, performed by the amazing Dr Paul Wilson, and couldn’t be happier with the results. From the moment I walked in I felt very welcome and safe, which out my nerves at ease. The location is beautiful, the rooms were gorgeous and the food was amazing. Definitely recommend.

First impressions when arriving at Wood MediSpar were what a beautiful Manor House in a glorious tranquil setting.
I have a history of skin problems resulting from too much sun and not using enough protection, earlier this year it was discovered that I had two squamous cell carcinomas, one on my nose the other on my scalp.
I had the SCC On my nose removed first, it was not very successful quite a lot of disfigurement.
After a little research I fortunately found Dr Toby Nelson at Wood MediSpar, I found him to be friendly but professional, he explained the whole procedure and what to expect. My confidence In his ability led me to book to have the SCC on my scalp removed as soon as possible.
The surgery was performed soon after my appointment, and I am pleased to say that everything went as planned.
It is now several months after the op, and my only regret is that Toby did not remove the SCC on my nose as I am convinced the result would have been far better.
I have no hesitation in recommending Dr Toby Nelson, his team and all at Wood MediSpar.

Didn't want to.leave.....5* all the way, from the moment I entered the beautiful grounds of Wood I felt so calm and relaxed.I was given the most beautiful room,felt like a hotel,stunning views. Literally from entering the hospital to.leaving the next day I was treated like royalty.From the hcls to staff in theatre, to the lovely secretary, nurses and of course the surgeon himself amazing !! Always happy with treatments from James mcdirmud,add a stunning hospital into the mix simply amazing..I had implant exchange,vaser lipo and fat transfer..honestly no pain bit sore but that's it....the most painful thing was having to leave.!!!!
