Second surgery here at the most beautiful hospital I'm sure! This time I came to Wood for liposuction and skin tightening due to lipodema in my upper arms. Surgery was performed by Dr Mouzakis and Dr McDiarmid. Results are unbelievable, I am completely overjoyed. From booking to last check up, the whole team have been incredible yet again. Nothing is too much to ask and everyone goes well above and beyond their roles to make you feel comfortable and at ease. I would genuinely recommend this team to anyone who is considering any kind of treatment. Don't be put off by the remote location. It is the most tranquil and elite setting that boasts so much history and breathtaking sights. Definitely worth the distance and money. You cannot put a price on your health, care and recovery. Thanks to everyone at Wood including James, Michael, Felicity, Mandy, Holly, Louis and all the others that were so kind and accomodating. I know I have forgotten some names, but your care has also not gone unnoticed 🥰

I cannot recommend James Mcdiarmid highly enough and his lovely team. From my first consultation for Deep plane and C02 Laser James made me feel very at ease explaining everything about the procedure clearly. He was very easy to talk to and answered all my questions. I booked my surgery and was very confident that James was the surgeon I wanted as after all it’s a big decision to make. On the day of my surgery I felt a little nervous but again was made to feel very much at ease by James and the lovely nurses.
My surgery went very well with minimal pain quite a bit of bruising around eyes (Upper & lower Bleph). Only to be expected and soreness from the Laser treatment. I was very well taken care of (2 nights, could have stayed a month due to fantastic setting and location). by the loveliest nurses and loved meeting Zoe who was so chatty and smiling all the time. A great lift when you’re feeling a little sore. I never got to meet the Chef but his meals were totally five star yummylicious..
I’m now 6 weeks post op and my results are already incredible. I know I’ve still got a little time to go for the final result but hell I’m very happy now !! I can’t thank James enough for his outstanding skill and look forward to seeing him in the near future.

One year on from my abdominoplasty surgery. I am so grateful and pleased with Wood medi spa, James Mcdiarmid is an amazing surgeon and has time for his patients, the nurses, admin staff are so friendly, helpful. I stayed in the hospital for two nights and didn’t want to leave 5* the food is grown there and is outstanding. My recovery I always had someone on the end of the phone. My aftercare was brilliant. It was the best thing I’ve ever given myself. Please if considering surgery put Wood medi spa as your first call.

I am currently two week post breast reduction surgery that I received at Wood Medispa and I can honestly say the entire experience has exceeded all of my expectations!
From the moment I arrived, I felt completely at ease and incredibly well looked after.

My surgeon, James, was exceptional, professional, compassionate, and truly skilled at what he does!
I felt confident and reassured in his care from the very beginning. The support team, including Zoe, Holly, and Julie and everyone else were equally outstanding.
Their kindness and genuine care made me feel so safe and supported throughout my stay.

The food was, quite simply, out of this world far beyond anything I anticipated, and a real highlight during recovery. The chef’s should be extremely pleased with themselves they definitely put some restaurants to shame!

Even though I’m still early in the healing process, I am already absolutely thrilled with the results. The change has already made me incredibly emotional and deeply thankful!
after all these years, I’ve finally done it. It’s hard to put into words what that means to me.

From start to finish my experience has been amazing. The venue, the staff, the food and the service throughout has been impeccable. I had my surgery at midday and went home the following morning at 10am. I left feeling so relaxed and refreshed, the staff literally couldn’t have done enough. I’ve waited 10 years to have this done and I do not regret a single thing.

The whole process has been seamless from start to finish. I am absolutely delighted with the results of my upper blepharoplasty. It has boosted my self confidence so much. The staff have been excellent and it’s a wonderful clinic. I really had no idea what to expect and was delighted to be able to have the procedure done under local anaesthetic. I had no pain during or after the procedure and I healed really well. It takes time to see the final results and that would be my take away; you need to be patient and you won’t be disappointed.

From my first consultation with Mr McDiarmid to the post operative follow up, I couldn't have wished for better care. I had a Fleur de Lis Abdominoplasty follow weight loss and the outcome has been nothing short of incredible. Everyone I came across was incredible and nothing was too much for them. If you want the best care and the best outcome, please go to Wood.

I have just got home from having a breast mastopexy from the amazing surgeon Paul Wilson. This is my second procedure with Paul in the beautiful Wood Medi Spa and I highly recommend Paul the location and the whole team. I’d like to call out Andre the anaesthetist he listen to all the previous issues I had post waking up and put in place actions to prevent all the sickness and shivering. I woke up feeling the best I possibly could so thanks to Andre. Also nurses Holly and Zoe you were incredible very caring attentive and nothing was ever too much trouble thank you.
In short what an amazing experience for surgery by a top surgeon and a top team in the most beautiful location.

I’m now 4 weeks post op and I’m absolutely over the moon with my results, healing really well, still some time to go, the nurses have been on hand to answer any questions, any worries I’ve had they have been on the phone to help and put my mind at ease.

I’d also like to thank Felicity, Mandy & Rachel and all the lovely office/reception staff and the patient coordinators.

From the moment you contact Wood Medi Spa through to the aftercare the service just doesn’t falter.

There simply aren’t enough words to describe my experience at Wood MediSpa as I lay in my bed in the most beautiful ward room looking out across the greenery and peaceful countryside, feeling on cloud 9, less than 24 hours post op.

Having researched & considered this procedure for the last 20 years I had no doubts that James was the best choice for surgery.

Where do I even begin?
James you are the most incredible, caring and kind man, who takes the greatest care, pride and time with each and every person, you are a magician and honestly I wouldn’t have trusted anyone else, you listened, and took on board my wishes, whilst perfectly managing my expectations and the realistic outcomes.

Your team all take such pride in their work and that shines though with the care and time they spend with each patient.

Angie, I owe you the biggest of thank yous, the first smiley face I saw on a very nerve wracking arrival for my surgery, reassured with the biggest and best hug and I’ll never forget the care and comfort you gave me, even holding my hands whilst I was put to sleep.

Louis, my amazing anaesthetist the kindest man, listened to all my worries and concerns with the anaesthetic, I felt totally safe and secure and I woke up after he so gently put me to sleep, even letting me choose music I liked to listen too, I felt fantastic when I woke up and no sickness at all. It was the nicest experience and if you are someone who worries about going under you won’t need to worry if you come here, it’s not a one size fits all and Louis will make sure you are safe throughout.

The food, honestly some of the best I’ve ever eaten. Fresh, wholesome and full of flavour, massive selection too, something for everyone.

I can see the veg patch from my room and it’s amazing to think you cook up what’s grown out there, this place is next level & like nothing over ever experienced before.

You are the most talented chef and your food and the flavours are honestly comparable to Michelin star.

Wood MediSpa really has blown me away, I wish I could stay longer.

5* doesn’t even feel enough to cover my experience, if you are considering surgery then look no further, this is the place to come. I will be recommending it to everyone!

I recently returned to beautiful Wood MediSpa for a procedure with Dr Toby Nelson for a BCC removal on my cheek. After being Let down by the NHS, I felt that time was of the essence and a journey back to see Toby made perfect sense for me.
Once again, I felt relaxed and in safe hands.
The calming, oak clad waiting room with wood-burner and sofas overlooking the country estate, couldn't be more far removed from my experience a couple of weeks earlier where my procedure had been abruptly cancelled on the day.
Toby greeted me personally and together with his lovely nurse Claire, I received excellent treatment.
I am three weeks on and have heard back from Toby with a follow up. I am already healing well, with another good outcome with scarring.
I would recommend Dr Toby Nelson to anyone with concerns in any area of Dermatology.
Wood MediSpa is a wonderful place and what has been achieved there has to be experienced first hand.
My reasons for returning:
Two years ago, I received excellent MOHS surgery by Dr Toby Nelson for a large BCC on the dorsal of my nose which had been misdiagnosed elsewhere.
On entering Wood MediSpa, due to the beautiful and relaxed surroundings I immediately felt at ease.
I was greeted with warmth and care by the Reception team and I knew when I met Toby that I was in safe and trusted hands.
I had a two step complex surgery and reconstruction which happened over a two month period. It felt devastating at the time. However, the outcome exceeded all my expectations with scarring. Toby had offered 3 types of reconstruction, and being my face I went for the 'Gold' involving a skin graft.
With good follow-up appointments and support throughout, I feel the whole experience was the best it could have been anywhere.

Was feeling terrified at the thought ofmy eye op but all the staff were really lovely and nothing was too much trouble for them Mr Toby Nelson who did my procedure has a lovely calming voice and I felt in very safe hands throughout. The lady who assisted him likewise was a really calming presence andcertainly assisted in making me feel more relaxed. Can whole heartedly recommend Wood Medispa. Beautiful surroundings and first class care. Thankyou all.

I am that impressed I’m sat in the hospital bed the morning after and I’m so happy even before I see the results because the surgeon James made it clear things can be altered if there is any problem. James is the kindest and gives you the feeling that he loves to make this difference he is going to make to your life and it’s what he loves coming to work and assures you he will do everything to make it the best results he possibly can. I was lucky enough to have James McDiarmid operate on me for my first breast augmentation some 20 years ago. My experience then was first class which is why I decided to track James down for my replacement breast augmentation.

With the help of Google I quickly learned that James had realised his dreams by opening Wood MediSpa Private Hospital. I contacted James, and he quickly replied saying he would be "very happy to help".

I had a face-to-face consultation with James at Wood MediSpa. The hospital was jaw droppingly beautiful and the staff I met during my initial visit were all very kind and friendly. James as always was the perfect gentleman, and he took time to discuss with me all my options. I was shocked that he even had access to my notes from 20 years ago. James and I decided on the course of action, and I booked my surgery date.

On the day of my surgery, I arrived at 7:30 am I was shown to my lovely private room and Holly and Zoe introduced themselves. They are both a credit to Wood MediSpa, and the care I received from them was exemplary. I was incredibly nervous, but they both put my mind at ease. I was shown the menu for my meals during my stay, and it felt as if I was reading a menu from a Michelin star restaurant. The food options were beautifully worded and beautifully presented. Please take time to read the history of the estate of Wood MediSpa in the back of the menu it is very interesting. The anaesthetist introduced himself to me and James came and visited me prior to my surgery to recap on everything we had discussed during the initial consultation and to draw on me etc.

I was taken down to theatre by a lovely man and all the staff in the theatre were friendly and made me feel instantly at ease.

The surgery all went as planned and as I came round from my general anaesthetic, I was greeted by James' lovely face reassuring me that all had gone well.

I was taken back to my private room where I was cared for by Holly and Zoe (Zoe made the best tea). I never once felt like I had been left too long or that I needed to ask for anything as both Holly and Zoe pre-empted everything I would need. I also had a lovely lady called Natalie who cared for me during the night, and she was also amazing.

The morning after I was suffering from a little nausea and was quickly given something to ease this. I had a wonderful breakfast and managed to get myself up and dressed before my discharge. James came to the ward early that morning to check in on me and to give me details on my aftercare etc. You are sent home with a lovely bag with everything you need to aid your recovery.

I am now two and a half weeks post-surgery, and I am delighted with the results. I have followed James' instructions regarding my aftercare and recovery and feel that I am progressing nicely. Once again this has been made easy with the ongoing support I have received from James and his team.

I think my review shows that going for surgery at Wood MediSpa is a whole new experience and one that I feel very privileged to have had. I know providing surgery and aftercare in this way has been a lifelong dream of James’ and he's endured several challenges along the way to achieve this. I would imagine that when he sits back and looks at what he has now accomplished at Wood MediSpa it has all been worthwhile. Thank you to James and his amazing team for making my whole experience at Wood MediSpa feel like a magical one.

I sought help for a persistent skin condition which was affecting my self-esteem. I am very pleased and very grateful to Dr. Al-Nuaimi who prescribed a treatment that, after a matter of weeks, has entirely relieved my symptoms. The whole experience at Wood Medispa has been absolutely fantastic.
I am 3 weeks post surgery, I had a FDL tummy tuck and thigh lift with the magician that is James McDiarmid.
Even though James is at the top of his game he is so lovely and down to earth and really cares for all his patients.
The facilities are next to none all the staff are so attentive and everyone puts you at ease. It really is like staying in a 5* hotel the food is 10/10.
I would highly recommend Wood Medispa.

This was my 2nd visit to Wood MediSpa & my 4th procedure with James.
There is nobody else I would trust like him, his work is just miraculous and he genuinely cares about getting the very best results.

What a fantastic and personal experience at wood medispa. From initial enquiry to after care and follow ups. Nurses were on hand during my visit and also on the phone after…offering a range of options to help with my query. The grounds of the hospital are amazing, the rooms are hotel standard and the food on offer during my stay was 5 star in itself. My surgery was explained fully, well communicated to me and follow ups done in a timely manner to suit my schedule. All interactions with staff were positive and everyone there was kind and thoughtful.

I’m writing this review after my third stay at Wood Medispa, and I can honestly say it’s been an incredible journey. James McDiarmid and his team have done an absolutely phenomenal job with my transformation. Each procedure has exceeded my expectations, and I’m thrilled with the results.

My most recent 2-night stay was just as wonderful as the previous ones. The entire team was incredibly caring and attentive, making me feel completely at ease. The food was delicious, as always, and I was so well taken care of.

One of the things I love about Wood Medispa is the beautiful surroundings. I spent a little time wandering through the gardens on my second afternoon, which are simply stunning. It was also lovely to see the progress of the vegetable garden and its companion planting from my room window. Such a great asset to Wood, knowing that we are being fed the very best veg straight from the garden!

I can’t recommend Wood Medispa highly enough. If you’re considering any cosmetic procedures, this is the place to go.
