We turned to Wise as our current mortgage provider would not extend our remaining mortgage due to our age ( both my wife are retired ) From our first appointment we have found Kit to be professional, attentive and responsive in securing us with a suitable and improved mortgage that fully fits our needs . He’s done a great job for us, picked up on important things the solicitor didn’t, and also helped us finance renovations via remortgaging. With some tricky financial choices to make, he’s always been accessible, helpful and available.

Amy and Kit at Wise have been providing me mortgage products and advice for many many years.

They've never steered me wrong, always provided sensible, straightforward advice and products that match my requirements with a great price. Their knowledge of the industry and access to a wide variety of lenders that are not on the high street as well as major lenders allow wise to find a product that fits well without being under the obligation to provide a product that's offered by the lender they're employed by because they're independent.

Kit Peterson is not only a mortgage genius but he is an empathetic and wonderful person. Kit helped us through a very tricky and unique situation when buying a property but he did it so smoothly and effectively. We used to get our mortgages and rate changes through a bank that we’d used for years but now I would only use Kit and we have referred him onto lots of friends and family. If you see this and are looking for a better rate and someone trustworthy to help, then genuinely don’t look any further.

When Mat left the company he introduced me to Amy who got in touch with me within a few days of taking over my case. I found both Mat and Amy very professional. Amy chased my application when I had not got in touch with her. Within a few days of instructions on the next stage, Amy was able to progress my application to completion, keeping me updated on all the stages. Only took 10 days from when my credit search was completed to finding a lender. Thank you so much.

Both Mat and Sophie have been completely amazing throughout the entire process. I had a tricky and VERY time sensitive auction sale (28 days), and when a mortgage offer was declined at the 11th hour, Mat and Sophie both pulled out all the stops and came up with a brilliant plan B and Plan C (which luckily wasn't needed) to make sure I had the fastest mortgage offer possible so I didn't lose my house or deposit. They were so friendly and talked me through every step carefully, always updating me as to where we were in the process, as they chased the companies daily to ensure it happened on time (and just before the change of stamp duty!!!) I will actually miss our (frequent) phone conversations! I would one hundred percent recommend them to anyone.

Mat was incredible at helping us to obtain a mortgage offer on our first home, especially with helping with things in evenings or Saturday mornings. Anna was super helpful too, but our mortgage progressed so quickly we didn’t need her help too much! They both took the stress away and made things so easy, we can’t recommend more!

Pros
- Mortgage adviser was very helpful. As soon as I made an enquiry, he was proactive in getting back to me. He explained the process very clearly, and presented me with different options within a week of talking.
- The admin team was great at following up with me and the solicitors. They checked on me throughout the process, ensuring that everything was going smoothly.
- The team is extremely professional and responsive, and the service provided is good value money.
- I also liked the digital move app; made it easy to upload information required and track progress of my case.
- I will definitely use this firm again and recommend their services. They make the process a lot less daunting and stressful and are just genuinely nice people to work with, which for me is always a requirement when I am looking for a service.

Cons
- Recommended solicitors are ok. They clearly know what they are doing but could be better with communication (actually picking up the phone to talk through documents sent as opposed to just emailing, especially when additional unexpected fees are to be charged).

In addition, I was told the solicitors would mostly handle all matters related to HTB... I ended up handling that myself. HTB was actually easy to deal with and very responsive but it's just time I could have spent doing something else.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Mat from Wise Mortgage Company, and I can't recommend him highly enough. From our initial consultation to the final approval, Mat was exceptional.
