UPDATE - I had a quick reply after this post and spoke at length with A G at Cult Wines who explained the difficulties that they (along with similar businesses) had been having and the lessons that had been learnt re customer communication and response times. I pointed out that investors are aware of market changes and being upfront re liquidity and sale times would have been more useful rather than ignoring emails. Hopefully things will improve. Payment went into our account today (30th July). Overall, in the 8 years we have invested with them we have been happy with the results, and it was disappointing to have had this poor service. We are still invested with them and are looking forward to an improved level of customer interaction.

Very poor - ie none - follow up on emails and phone calls. £8500 worth of wine sold on 6th March '24. Numerous emails and calls with vague promises for payment "next Friday" "accounts will revert" "we are dealing with many customers" blah blah. Now into August and still nothing. I have issued a 'Letter of Claim' notice and will be issuing proceedings against them in the County Court. I can only surmise that they are struggling and would advise any potential investors to do serious due diligence on them.

Wine investment has been through a tough time over the past couple of years but things seem to be improving now finally. Whilst there have been some problems with releasing funds on sale of product, our Relationship Manager, Paul, has been very helpful and remedied the issue to our full satisfaction. He is good to work with, always available and keeps us up to date with advice on our investment.

For example, following their advice to extract funds from the market in 2022 was a smart move that helped reduce potential losses.

Of course, there are some areas for improvement. Enhancements to the platform and app would make the trading process smoother and more efficient.

However, overall the Cult team have offered valuable insights and expert advice that we feel makes them a reliable investment partner. Our portfolio has performed well and so we would definitely recommend them to anyone interested in the fine wine market.

I've had an account with Cult wines for about 3 years. During this time, the company has made significant changes to their payments and account management structure that have facilitated the buying and selling process.

There have been a couple of speed bumps along the way, but I now consider them well placed to manage my fine wine portfolio. Particular mention to Aarash who has been in touch regularly to update me on market trends and new opportunities.

Very professional experience until I decided to withdraw my investment. 7 months waiting for so called buyers to buy my wines ( that’s what this company tells but we cannot verify anything) . No return of investment. After 5 years my return is 0 or negative ( was super positive until I decided to withdraw then suddenly it became negative). Don’t know how long I will still have to wait to get my money back. If I get it back one day…
Legal actions will be the next step.

Over the years we’ve got to know Cult Wines well, their depth of knowledge has always been impressive and we’ve appreciated the balance of information without over-marketing the product. Delighted so far with the trajectory of the portfolio, we would and indeed have recommended their services

After selling my holding, took months to receive any money owed.
Got more sense from chat line, than dealing with non replied emails.
Finally gave them a deadline to pay up or was going to take further action, eg small claims court.

We have also had identical problems to the review below. Myself and my business partner have an account at Cult Wines. We have requested the return of the funds from our account numerous times and they have not complied with the remittance request. We will update you if they comply with the latest withdrawal request initiated on 5/6/24.

On writing this review, we were contacted by Aarash at Cult Wines, who conveyed his sincere apologies for the delay in processing our withdrawal. He then ensured that the payment would be made efficiently. True to his word, we received the withdrawal today 7/6/2024. Thankyou Aarash.

Since 2019, I've been investing with Cult Wines. However, after they acquired all the wines with my funds, there was no management of my portfolio. Despite my request to liquidate my portfolio in March last year, most of my wines were sold in August 2023, and I haven't received any payment from them yet. Despite repeated calls and emails, they keep citing the excuse that they haven't received payment from the buyer. It's been a year since I requested liquidation, and I'm still waiting to get my investment money back.
