Jason from the Kitchen department was excellent.
He listened to our desires, guided where we needed help, made changes where we needed to and worked to our budget.
Jason was super knowledgeable, pleasant to deal with and was in no way a pushy salesman he simply helped where he could and left us to make the decision of whether to proceed or not.
We did, and are super excited to see the finished kitchen when it has been installed by Wickes.

Helpful, friendly agent. Great experience

After visiting several kitchen suppliers we decided to purchase one from Wickes as they had the design we liked, listened and were not pushy during design and sale. Unfortunately we had a few issues following delivery. However, this was immediately addressed by Beth and Ryan, the manager. Leon, a designer in the store, made a home visit and swiftly dealt with everything including making additional suggestions and ideas to make the kitchen even better, his attention to detail is exceptional. The customer service was fantastic. Ryan and Leon even made a home visit once the kitchen was completed just to see the end product and to check everything was as it should be. I have already recommended Leon to friends who have also had positive experiences.

This was the store in truro. A big queue. 3 ladies working. Ive never found a refund so difficult. I only purchased the item 15 minutes before. The 3 ladies were of the older generation which is totally ok. Except 1 was getting in a flap could not work her computer. Told a customer to go to till. He queued then he was told to actually go to her. She then said that the colleague who can do what he wanted was day off. Not one lady apologised for the wait or the fact that they really could not do what was needed. Never again. Surely a trained member of staff should always be present

Kitchen Design
I am very impressed with the service I have had so far from Wickes in designing my new kitchen. The designer Leon Keung, I cannot speak more highly of. His ideas, support and listened to my vision is exemplary. There has been no pressure in making decisions and above all he is a huge credit to the company.

I met Jason and he helped design my kitchen. He was thoughtful and very knowledgeable, suggesting ideas that I had not considered but listened to what I also needed. Chris who came to fit the kitchen was fantastic. He switched bits around to make the design seem less. He had an electrician who did extra bits (at our expense), a gas man and it was all organised by them. Then the old kitchen was taken away. It was obvious that these 2 have a good strong working relationship. The finish and quality of the products are excellent. Would totally recommend Jason to design and Chris to fit your new kitchen

Ordered internal doors to arrive a week before carpenter booked for fitting.
Saw doors in store paid for them and delivery. First delivery cancelled as “apparently no doors in store” even though they were there on day of purchase.
Two more dates given for delivery , both dates no delivery.
First date, we received a phone call 3 hours after the given delivery time to say the van had broken down, doors will be with you the next day. Following day, no delivery, no contact.
Tried phoning store 3 times. Selected all options: delivery, store and design time. Phone call just rings out. No way of finding out what is happening and a tradesman losing a day of work. Extremely disappointed in this company and store. Wish I had B&Qed it!

UPDATE 28/05/25 : Still no contact from the Branch. Still no delivery despite being told “The delivery without question will arrive by Thursday”. Still no one answering phones. Still unable to get help!

Leon was so helpful and reliable throughout my whole kitchen renovation journey. He really made my dream kitchen a reality. I couldn’t praise him enough.

Chris the fitter was also very helping and kept me involved in every step of the fitting taking so much care in the construction.

Our first interaction with a member of Wickes, concerning our application for solar panels, was with Leon. We had lots of questions about having a system installed but we received all the information we needed including explanations of what we would require and the technical information regarding overall costs and savings.
The Wickes portal was installed onto my mobile and has helped to keep us informed. We then received the quote by email and within two days we had the visit from the surveyor. This again went smoothly and measurements of the roof were taken by the use of a drone. These photos were then included on our portal so we were kept informed every step of the way.
We have been very pleased by both visits from Wickes and feel confident that we have the right system for our needs.

My wife and I shop regularly at Wickes Truro and always have a positive experience. However, after filling out an application for Wickes Solar installation, all was going well, but there seemed to be some confusion between in the on-site and in-store team, resulting in a disappointing no-show.

Design Consultant Jay Blyth - Truro Branch. From Jay’s first home visit to placing orders for a bathroom and kitchen our experience was excellent. A true professional who was thorough when measuring both rooms and more importantly, listened to what we wanted to achieve. Communication was fantastic and after receiving the initial designs, Jay was more than happy to make the changes/remove products to ensure our new bathroom and kitchen were exactly what we wanted. We placed our orders in January and received confirmed delivery dates of 20th January for the bathroom and 21st March for the kitchen. Once the orders were placed the central team at Wickes took over, and my only frustration was the lengthy waits on the phone to speak to Customer Services. There were a few delivery issues with the bathroom due to some of the products being delivered by third parties as well as Wickes. Due to receiving a three week delay to the delivery of one product from Grant Westfield, I intervened and contacted the supplier direct to resolve the issue as Wickes Customer Service didn’t even suggest doing this. The kitchen delivery was completed direct by Wickes, all 152 boxes and there were no problems with the delivery. The delivery team were efficient and courteous and with only one box damaged during delivery, they reported this and it was replaced within a week. We project managed both installations and employed our own tradesmen to fit the kitchen and bathroom. Both projects were completed by 21st April and we are delighted with the finished result.

The installation was defective from day one (november)with issues identified by Wickes own staff. Despite this nothing has been resolved. We've had repeated delays, unanswered emails and multiple visited where wickes staff inspected the problems but never followed through. We have been assigned rectification works that require 5 days the problems are that big - but fitters down show up even when apparently booked in and we have taken annual leave off work. The final straw was today when apparently the assigned fitter resigned this morning - wickes never let me know if had to chase them after taking annual leave and waiting in. We have been expecting to have the bathroom resolved for 5 months, we now have a damp issue with the extractor not suitable. There's no electrical certification, plumbing faults, no ply which they have charged us for under the flooring, unfinished panelling, old tiles on the wall which have been charged to be removed to name a few issues of the 5 days worth. Wickes still cant provide any clarity. This has been the most stressful and time wasting experience we have ever had. We have escalated to the Ombudsman and other regulatory bodies because wickes have not resolved anything despite months of opportunities. There is no service in the customer service team. The designer Leon is rude - wickes accidently sent me an internal email where it said ' ellen cant get in her head the costs' when i was questionning items that we have paid for and gone missing, paid for and not recieved (ply underfloor, tile removal, meters of plumbing, easy clean extractor etc.) Deeply disappointed and would not recommend wickes to anyone.

All I can do is advise that you check very carefully the small print. I have now spent £13'000 on a new bathroom with a flaking ceiling. I told the designer and installer that the ceiling needed attention. They both said yes it will be done. The designer put the size that needed plastering on the estimate. I spoke to the installer, no problem... it seems now I have to get so.eone else in at extra cost to fix it and the bathroom is complete. Measure your bathroom yourself and check against the estimate. Wickes are not taking responsibility at all.

Leon was really helpful in getting are kitchen sorted. We planned on going to other show rooms to look at what’s around but was very happy with the service and how helpful Leon was we decided not to

We've just completed the planning stage for our new kitchen with Leon. This went extremely well. So far we can't fault the experience.

I was in store last week looking to start my new bathroom journey with a lovely gentleman called Andrew Motteram who was excellent!
But due to the branch being very cold it was a very wet day and the heating system being broken for over three weeks,I couldn’t stay due to it being that cold it trigged my fibromyalgia badly I had to leave I wasn’t impressed.
I felt sorry rest of the Andrew and the team.

Heather the designer came up with a fantastic design and very helpful on the sales done us proud and the bungalow Nick the fitter knew is trade well fitting was tops. The quality you cannot fault units are strong and the stable fully recommended Wickes and staff thank you

Andy done a brilliant design which didn’t do the end product justice, everything was arranged smoothly, we had Wayne come and complete our bathroom, nothing was to much of a problem, he installed it quickly. And the finish was amazing. Couldn’t ask for better

Leon at Truro Wickes was so helpful, really took all the stress out of planning my kitchen and utility. He made some really useful recommendations and couldn't do enough during a stressful time. He's very knowledgeable about the various ranges and special offers if your budget is a bit tight like mine. I also really appreciated that he wasn't trying to hard sell to me.
