Good customer service, staff called RAVI was very helpful, patient enough to understand my frustration as he took genuine actions to help out on items I bought. He got it well resolved and I'm quite pleased

George assisted us in designing and purchasing our kitchen for us. He is good at problem solving, and listening which made it easier for us to communicate to him our needs and likes. He dealt with us patiently, and is very active at his skills. Thank you so much for your recommendations, and for making things easier for us. Cheers.

Great customer service, very professional and made us fill at ease.

My experience with Wickes was terrible from start to end. I hired them in hopes of a stress-free experience where a company handles the overseeing of the project. Instead, it was one of the most stressful things I’ve ever done, as I had to manage the project and chase them constantly for updates.

Project overran:
Due to an error on Wickes' side, I was not notified that the sink I had chosen 2 months in advance had been discontinued.Therefore it didn’t arrive with the delivery and I only discovered it when the packages were opened and the sink was missing. I had to ring up 3 times in a week to find out what was going on and was left without a sink and an incomplete bathroom over Christmas. Wickes refused to take responsibility for this error.

Design failure:
The designer was inexperienced and got parts of my design wrong that are now irreversible.

Loss of facilities:
I was left without a toilet overnight; this was the only toilet in my one-bedroom flat, and I was left with no option but to stay in a hotel. When I complained and asked for compensation, they refused to agree and didn’t see any issues with this "loss of service"!!

Horrific Customer Service:
I had to ring the CEC countless times to get information about what was going on at multiple stages of the project. I spoke to a different person almost every time I called; none of them seemed to prep before the call, and I had to repeat my issues constantly. They also didn’t seem to know what was going on most of the time. My emails were ignored, and my assigned designer never followed up with me when I was told they would. I had to chase them at every step!

The Finance Issue:
Wickes uses a "3-call verbal agreement" policy to try and close complaints. Even though I engaged with these calls and explicitly stated I was NOT satisfied, they moved to trigger my finance agreement and activate repayments anyway. They have ignored my emails and didn’t even seem to read them when I mentioned them on calls. Forcing payment while a formal dispute is open and while I am still seeking a Deadlock Letter for the Ombudsman (FHIO) is unprofessional.

Completely unprofessional and useless. Won't use again.

Searching for a kitchen can be a challenging and difficult process. After visiting many kitchen companies and comparing their reviews, decided with Wicks. We were so pleased we meet George who showed us lots of different styles, did a home visit to plan our new kitchen and showed us different layouts we didn’t think of doing. George kept in touch during the installation and quickly sorted out any concerns we had The fitters arrived on time everyday and were clean and tidy and their attention to detail was amazing. George came to see our new kitchen and we couldn’t fault George for the excellent customer service he gave us and would highly recommend him to plan your new kitchen.

I had a bathroom planner called George come out for a home visit,
Can’t fault him in anyway, he was very professional and clearly knows his stuff.
Very friendly and gave me great ideas that I hadn’t thought of myself.
I’m looking forward to seeing the final plan and really I can’t wait to get a BATH. And new bathroom suite.

We had our kitchen designed by George . Regretted not having it fitted by Wickes as our builders really messed up. George still helped rectify matters by ordering additional units needed and liaising with head office to ensure the process. Such a pleasure to work with . Thank you George

My husband and I went to the Plumstead store to shop for kitchen cabinets yesterday. George Whelan was our consultant. He was very knowledgable, informative, and patient. He gave us valuable info and helped us select our cabinets fitting to our lifestyle. We were very impressed with his service. We found our kitchen cabinets to fit into our dream home. We were very happy with our purchases and will definitely recommend your store and George to our friends and family members.

George has been a fantastic kitchen design consultant thus far. He has been very patient, has been able to answer every question that I’ve had and has always been quick to respond to my emails. Absolutely no faults!

I joined Wickes Community Programme which relates to the charity Bridge Support that I work for which supports people with mental health issues. We have an allotment so need a lot of tools etc to help us and encourage people we work for. We were accepted on the Community Programme within a day and I went to collect items I had chosen in the Plumstead store. Belle the rep couldn’t have been more kind and understanding with our plight. I just want to take this opportunity to thank Belle and Wickes for supporting our charity and enabling us to include more people to our allotment with the tools we have been given.

George was amazing in the kitchen department. Friendly and great service.

Wickes Plumstead supported our primary school with some donations for our playground through the Community Programme. It was a very easy process and has really helped the school in developing their playtime provision. We are very grateful for their support.

The staff here are very helpful & knowledged on DIY items & help.
I was in a dilemma & was given great help by a gentleman by the name of Ravi. This was the second time I was fortuitous to bump into him & feel I had to mention him in this manner. Kudos to him.
Only thing I found poor in this store is people constantly using the Disabled Parking Bays with out a badge, but the great service has a some what analgesic effects.
Well done Ravi for keeping the Wicks name in lights.

Two Stars today. Bought 4 Doors a few weeks ago, got let down twice by a Chippie to hang them. Finally found someone to do the job but one door is damaged - scuffed, not broken. Disappointed. Had I been home I would not have let the Guy hang it.

Booked a kitchen design appointment online and arranged time with my tenants and staff to be at the property. We waited over 20 minutes past the appointment time and even phoned the branch, where a colleague said the designer was “on the way.” No one turned up.

When I complained, I was told my phone “doesn’t work” - which is ridiculous as I run my business through it daily and was made to feel like I was at fault for expecting a confirmed appointment to actually be honoured.

This isn’t the first time the Plumstead branch has wasted my time. I will now take my business elsewhere and suggest anyone needing a reliable service avoid this branch.

Came into the store today and was served by Patrick, very helpful and helped me the items to my car as well. Another great experience at wickes Plumstead. I will be back again.

What a lovely experience. It was such a hot day but staff were all friendly and smiling as we passed them even in this heat. Store was nice & tidy so it was easy to find the items we needed. Only a couple of things we couldn’t find ourselves but a very nice young lady was more than happy to help us when we asked her. Great job to them all.

Wickes Plumstead is an absolute life saver for anyone undergoing a kitchen renovation. I was in need of some materials and this store delivered on every front. The staff were amazing and extremely knowledgeable, I would like to give a special mention to Amy the manager who was kind and patient with assisting me in my visit.

Just back from Wickes in Plumstead after returning faulty wall tiles & returning tiles in which we bought too many . No problem in reimbursing our payment and really helpful especially Amy the manager , Jackie on the till & Ollie helping load our trolley . Thank you all
