Great customer service. Dan was a great credit to Wickes. He provided good advice and assisted in getting all we needed and then kindly helped to load everything into our car.

I recently bought a kitchen from Wickes and had it fitted by their installation team. This was purchased from their Stamfordham Rd branch in Newcastle. I’d like to be clear that their design team and installer (Simon Ord - Precision Joinery) were excellent. They went above and beyond to provide excellent service. Also the quality of the product itself is great. However, my experience with their call centre was completely different. They couldn’t even get the basics of customer service right. Damaged items from the initial delivery took over a week to be replaced, holding up the kitchen installation. When the parts eventually arrived some had been snapped in half. The promised delivery date was cancelled by Wickes without advising myself or the installation team. Call backs from agents with updates never happened. Repeated requests for a call back from a manager were ignored. At one point I was quoted 72 hours for a manager to call me back. Agents refusing point blank to transfer my call to a manager. Finally an emailed complaint ignored, without even an acknowledgement! I’m still waiting for a response to that. They claim to provide a project management service, yet in my experience I had to chase and prompt them at every point. In summary I feel two stars reflects their overall performance, but to be clear, this would have been five stars had it not been for the call centre and the manager assigned to our installation.

Absolutely amazing customer service from this store. Alana couldn't have been more helpful. Our sport's charity Northern Edge Sports reached out for some assistance for helping us improve facilities for our members, Alana went above and beyond to help making a huge difference to children of Newcastle who will benefit. Thanks Wicks Newcastle and Alana, absolute stars!

Charlotte was absolutely amazing! I was being a complete problem needing my click and collect order changed twice, help reselected material and getting everything into my car. She helped me so much and got everything sorted really quickly.

Went to the wickes store looking for odds and sods in the home improvement environment.
Becca served me initially and then recommended a wickes trade account, Becca then helped sort the forms, downloading, and got me an account up and running.
Her help and assistance was what i would say " Customer Care, to the highest standard ", i had a trolley which you had to insert £1.00, unfortunately when had paid and leaving Wickes, there was no other trolley to use to claim my £1.00 back, Becca came out and said , dont worry Sir, if you follow me ill refund you from the till, which she promptly did. I can not thank her enough so putting this recommendation in on her exceptional service, and customer satisfaction.
Shopping at St James Retail Park Wickes store, throws up the best staff you can find anywhere.I was with a client, for whom im doing refurbishment work, we needed a solution to a problem regarding kicker under a washing machine wheresby the kicker could be detatchable, Charlotte and Natalie both we t through the computer to fnd an answer, then they both took myself and client to buy a pack of double roller catch chrome plate tht is Perfect, i would seriously love to thank all 3 members of your brilliant staff and look forward to shopping there again , Kind regards John

Was a good experience would recommend to shop here for some plasterboard

Bought four bags of plum slate, (no pice displayed) for £40
A day later I saw the slate was actually available at five bags for £40.
I went back and asked for the extra bag and was told by the manager that I couldn’t have the additional bag as the bags needed to be purchased at the same time.
So , I returned the four bags for a refund.
Totally crap experience and service.

Great customer service from Natalie today at Newcastle. She saw I was struggling and offered to help me take my items to the car. Thank you, so much!

After visiting so many show rooms looking for our perfect kitchen and not finding what we wanted we popped in to our local wickes at st James retail park and the lovely Chelsie Broady designed us a kitchen that fits our home and our needs perfectly. Thank you so much for your help Chelsie!

visited Wickes extra store in Newcastle recently to buy leaf vacuum..was helped to buy and was given opportunity to see the item and importantly how much it weighed..unfortunately when putting it together at home discovered a part was missing...back to Wickes and Steven (who dealt with me previously) located a new item and then put the item together in store..with tips how to use..and demonstrated how to use...absolute gem ..amazing customer service throughout the day 10/10

Chelsie was brilliant throughout our whole journey. She gave her expert opinion on our future bathroom and space that we have to work with and made our ideas come to life. She was easy to reach at all times and any problems were sorted out straight away. Would highly recommend the wickes Newcastle design team.

We are a local school and reached out to Wickes; Newcastle Extra store and was put in contact with Alana Ruddick. We applied for the community funding and Alana was in touch very quickly. She explained what we could request and was very informative. She organised the resources quickly and kept communication throughout. As a result, we have been able to use the resources to develop some of our Early Years outdoor area. We can't thank you enough.

We have just had our new kitchen fitted by Simon Ord - Precision joinery and we could not have asked for a better job or experience. Simon was brilliant from day one when he came to measure up and book us in. Everything was explained in perfect detail, we were consulted on everything and from that first day we knew we were in safe and capable hands. Simon arranged all of the other tradesmen for us (plasterers, electrician and plumber) and these were also really good , friendly guys who importantly turned up on time and worked hard to a very high standard. On the week of the installation everything went perfectly to plan and once again Simon was an excellent communicator and his workmanship is second to none. Absolutely recommend and if your buying a new kitchen from Wickes in Newcastle then I advise you to ask for Simon as your fitter, you will not be disappointed.

Simon Ord, (Precision Joinery) did an excellent job fitting my new kitchen. He is friendly, helpful, very profesional and a bit of a perfectionist and you can tell he takes pride in his job. Time management exceptional and 100% for tidying up after a full days work.
I would recommend Simon without any hesitation.

Everytime I come to my local Wickes Susan helps me out with everything I need. She is an absolute asset to Wickes and provides 10/10 customer service at all times. Keep up the good work Susan.

I have been dealing with Alana at the Newcastle - Stamfordham Road store for a project for a local youth and community group. Alana has kindly helped us with some gloss and brushes.

I came into the store needing help as wasn’t sure what I would need for the job I was preparing for. Sam ( the manager on this day) was beyond helpful, she talked me through products, letting me know benefits of each one. Very professional and knowledgeable. Thank you again Sam, will definitely come back to store again for all my house improvements.

Alana was so helpful when we were choosing our items. She got paper, pen and a measuring tape for us so we could work out what we needed. Alana also put the items away for us as we had to go and get the car. She's an assest to Wickes and we really appreciated all of her help and time.
