With Amy Hudson it got so much better for me. Once I had dealt with buying my new kitchen, I told Amy I'm worried about kitchen fitters and she said "Alfie, I have the very best one for you." Well, Amy was right! His name is Luke Dash (South Coast Kitchens) and Tony his working partner. Fantastic fitters from start to finish, so prompt, very tidy, they both worked so hard and in 3 days took the old kitchen out and put the new one in. Plus Luke made a fantastic job of re-routing my pipework underneath the sink, no more nasty pipe work, special mention to Luke's tiler, Dave. Like Luke and Tony, Dave's also a professional of his trade! If any one needs a kitchen or a bathroom fitted, I really recommend Luke Dash and Tony, both great guys!

Having read Amy Hudson's reviews, I plucked up the courage to to enquire about buying my very first kitchen in 80 years. I am so glad I met Amy, she designed and managed everything for me, so she is so professional and friendly and put me at ease straight away. Also Niki, a trainee designer - what fantastic help she provided me with! Niki chose my units and colour scheme, she chose my flooring and picked out the right wall tiles for me. They both organised my delivery dates on everything for me and Niki always made me a nice cup of coffee! I can never thank Amy and Niki enough, for going above and beyond for me. A big thank you to you both!

When choosing a new kitchen it was Important for us to speak to someone who was knowledgeable, friendly with an ability to understand what we would like.
After an initial in store chat Amy then visited us at home to measure up and suggested a few ideas. We then received a computer generated model of what the kitchen would look like within a few days
After that a consultation in store to go over the layout and style with Amy showing us the variety of options available .
Amy was fabulous throughout always answering questions and even smiling when we would change things during the process.
If your thinking of a new Kitchen then we would highly recommend speaking to Amy Hudson @ Hailsham Wickes.

Made an order for delivery of nearly £1000. Was informed the night before (1900hrs) by text that delivery would be on 24/4 between 1300 and 1800hrs.
Had made arrangements with staffing and creatures to accommodate this. Received a phonecall from Antonio (manager at the Hailsham branch) that the lorry had broken down so unlikely the load would be delivered until after 1500hrs and may be later than 1800hrs. I was then told later that the driver could not fulfil the order? More likely he wouldn’t work past his finish time. Antonio then called and stated that the earliest delivery date would be a week later on the 1st of May. He did apologise but this seemed to be purely functional rather than genuine. He then said he with refund the £35 delivery charge. However then he added that he couldn’t do this but with do it later and ring me when it was done. He didn’t and the delivery charge has NOT been refunded. Just received a text today 30th April telling me that delivery will be between 0700 and 1300hrs tomorrow. This is appalling as we have a very busy day tomorrow as it is the start of the Bank Holiday weekend and a delivery will inconvenience our customers, plus the fact that the staff and builders are not available tomorrow. All in all very poor service. I was reluctant to order from Wickes as last time there were items missing that never arrived but I was still charged for them. This time I have been inconvenienced and with little recourse. Why do Wickes wait until the night before to confirm delivery times? I accept the lorry breakdown was not necessarily anyone’s fault but why then do I then have to wait for a week. Surely fulfilling the order should have been a priority. I have another large order but based on this I shall be using a rival company to receive my monies. Poor. One star because I can’t give zero. Order number 695160430.
Update - delivered today at 0845hrs. Driver was very professional (not directly employed by Wickes). Thankfully it was delivered just before our customers started arriving. Wickes have responded to this review but with the usual ‘not our expected service’ phrases and ‘we’ll look into this further comments’ but like most of the companies that reply nothing ever happens.
I was correct in my summary of their customer service. Sean gave me the usual flannel. I then received an email asking for more information which I provided.
As of the 4th of May I received an email from Amy K. More sorry flannel but nothing of any substance, basically to sum it up stating that the delivery was now done so there you go.
As of today the 5th May still no refund of the delivery charge as promised and no effort at any goodwill or appeasement.
I suggest to Wickes that they send Sean and Amy K on a customer service course. It’s easy to cut and paste the usual platitudes but you can’t get away from your appalling customer relations. As for Antonio just shows the standard you’re dealing with.

We came in initially to have a look around and spoke with Amy, she remembered us from a few months ago and we found her so easy to talk to and get along with. She went through the benefits of each range and took all our considerations into account when designing our perfect kitchen.
We had a phonecall the morning of our appointment that Amy had been rushed to hospital and would be off for a couple of weeks recovering. As annoying as it was the communication we had from the other members of staff including Jamie Oliver who went above and beyond to get designs and quotes over in the interim while we waited for Amy to return. When she returned she went though everything with us and got it exactly how we wanted! Even adding in cats to the design to reflect our two that we have!
After the kitchen was delivered we had a couple of bits that were missing and she ordered them to be delivered asap and even dropped off a couple of the bits herself on a house call. She has gone absolutely above and beyond and we are beyond thrilled.
We will be back in a couple of years to get our bathroom done, wherever Amy is, we will be be to get it sorted! Thank you so much Amy, you really are truly a credit to Wickes and have made what we expected to be an incredibly stressful and unknown experience actually very pleasant and professional.

My partner and I moved into our first home recently and buying a new kitchen was one our first big purchases. Amy made the process of buying and designing the kitchen so easy and she was super helpful. She is definitely a credit to this store and her service was amazing! So personable and lovely!

I had the most helpful & amazibg designer Amy Louise Hudson who couldn’t do enough to help me.
Once I had purchased the kitchen, I was trying to arrange a delivery date with Wickes & no one would get back to me, I sent a message to Amy & she sorted it for me.

Our bathroom designer, Amy Hudson was friendly and professional and designed the perfect bathroom for us. Due to traffic issues, we were about 15 minutes late for our in-store appointment with Amy but she was polite and offered us hot drinks despite our lateness. She went through everything thoroughly and informed us on what to expect from our installers. Thank you Amy !

Amy Hudson was our bathroom designer and was so polite, friendly and professional. She helped us create a bathroom we absolutely love within our budget and, as with most things, there were a few missing bits but after contacting Amy she organised bits to be delivered and we weren’t delayed too much! Amy had been amazing and the guys delivering were super friendly and helpful. Had a very positive experience overall, thank you

The Design Consultant Kylie Young was very knowledgeable and personable. We were given alternatives ideas and all questions were answered. We received a printed design promptly and all aspects were explained throughly.

Well where do I start ??
Ordered a kitchen back in July for delivery 20th September 2 days before delivery informed kitchen sink was out of stock and wouldn't be available for a week which was no good as had fitters booked for 22nd September called up customer service and was told to go and buy another one from wickes and would be reimbursed
Delivery arrived on 20th September and the delivery crew were brilliant however they said why have you got 5 worktops in different colours ? Said I requested only 2 so they took them back, my lights were also left behind in the delivery depot
Fitters started their work and then asked why have you got a splashback when we are tiling ? Again I had not requested this, I took back to wickes and was told they will refund me in the next 2 days.
Later on in the week the fitters followed the design made by wickes and said they have ordered you miles too much cornice. Again I took back to wickes and was told no problems we will reimburse you again
I was then 10 hinge covers that go inside cupboards missing so another phone call to customer services who said we will send out, a week later still no sign of them so another call to customer services and again said will sendnout
The refunds never materialised and to date have visited Hailsham 8 times asking for the refund to be told there is an IT problem
I eventually got 437 pounds back but am still waiting a further 690 pounds to be returned and everything I am getting fobbed off
Yes it's my own fault for not going through the order with a fine toothcomb but thought as they do this regularly they would be accurate
I would never use wickes again after this horrendous experience

I wanted to relay my decking . Never attempted to do anything like this myself. I went to Wickes in Hailsham and asked for help from Steve and Jamie who both went out of their way to assist me. They worked out how much material and decking boards I would need and explained how best to complete my boarding. They even arranged for it to be delivered over two days so that I didn’t have to store items in the driveway that was needed to park our cars.
I now have the most perfect decking and only ended up with 1 board left over and half a dozen screws.
Thanks to the service of both Steve and Jamie I now have the confidence to do more diy and will be returning to Wickes in Hailsham for more advise as I now have the bug to do more.
