I've been in the building trade 48 years I've used wickes in London then when I moved to Grantham happy a wickes opened here.
Wickes have everything I need .what I like about wickes is you can go get what you want yourself pay and leave. Other builders merchants you have to wait for assistance then you have to go to the yard and wait again. The staff in wickes are equally knowledgeable and so very helpful. Claire the manager has been so helpful and all the staff in fact work as a great team . Trade pro allows you to gain 10% off and look out for the 15% promotions on everything. What you save In time getting your own products materials gets you back to work quicker
DIY gardening wickes have most products and open until 8pm a bonus. Plenty of parking easy to get to.

I used to avoid this store due to a lack of stock/choice, and quality issues. I'm please to say that after three recent visits, things have really turned around. Didn't have to queue to pay, they had everything I needed (around 50 items purchased), and it's all been great. Really now recommend it. It's also well located for easy access/parking and the staff were accomodating. A+.

Kitchen plan and installation fab, however in less than four years oven has broken, tap stopped working, door has warped and floor cracked. Disappointing after buying one of the more expensive ranges. Spoke to wickes who have sent me from pillar to post, take ages to respond to emails and have said they can’t do anything as need to contact manufacturer. Very disappointing from a company of this scale!

On 9.7.2025 - still no progress with this, no contact from Wickes linked to their comment in May below!

Visited the Company & arranged with helpful staff to select two undamaged fence panels to be delivered to me the next day - I only live within one mile of Wickes - and time of delivery to me was quoted as between 9am & 1pm. - they finally arrived after 4pm - after endless phone calls with Wickes seemingly having no idea where my panels were. When they finally arrived one was of poor quality - more phone calls to Wickes - now it's day two waiting for the replacement panel to be delivered - txt recieved stating it will be here between 9am/1pm again..... more hours of my time wasted??????.

Outstanding professional service from Shannon and Claire. We are very pleased with our kitchen cabinets.

Our designer , Duncan at Grantham, gave us excellent advice with our new kitchen . He listened to my specifications & made helpful suggestions to ensure I got what I both wanted & needed. All in all a very good experience which made the process run smoothly resulting in a kitchen I'm delighted with.

Went in to wickes today and the till staff were very helpfull. Set up my trade account and helped me access it through my phone

This is the nightmare we are left with and this is just the bathroom. Toilet to come next. Just watch the video Wickes. You already have my details. Stop ignoring me, call me!!!

Still not heard a word from customer services regarding our dreadful bathroom install. Last called let’s call lady G ( around 7th on the list) supposed to be supporting issues. Is now ignoring our calls? Day 5? We are left with an awful bathroom that we can’t safely use, Wickes are left with no beginning to our finance? Please for Gods sake if you’re thinking of Wickes. See sense and go anywhere but… no stars low enough. Will keep you installed though. Ha ha

We moved to Grantham just before Christmas, made an appointment to discuss a new kitchen and were given Duncan to look after us. What a fabulous job he did as well. He discussed our needs and wants, took photos and two days later, when we went into the store, was ready with the plans. We then discussed the finer details, such as worktops, splashbacks and drawer inserts, coming away happy that we were being looked after well. After talking for several hours, we realised that we needed a few tweaks, so rang Duncan. Back we went and discussed what would work and what wouldn't until we were happy that it was going to be perfect for us. Duncan kept in touch constantly, giving us updates and we couldn't fault his patience with us. We were given Sam as our fitter and he and his team were superb as well. Sam's attention to detail is second to none and we consider ourselves so lucky to have had such a good designer and installation team who really know their work. Top marks and grateful thanks all round for making it such a great experience.

Got a kitchen 12 months ago, one of the cupboard doors is peeling on the edge, contacted customer service as the doors come with a 5 year guarantee, they have determined it is excessive moisture (by looking at a photo) that is not cover by the guarantee. There is no excessive moisture at all, and no terms for their guarantee! It's false advertising

Alannah made the experience fantastic. Easy to deal with, efficient and professional throughout.

She was a pleasure to talk to, gave clear and concise suggestions and made me feel easy about purchasing from her. She looked very smart and professional as well - a credit to your team.

I had a really great experience with Wickes, the sales advisor Alannah was amazing! From the moment she came to measure up right through to completion. She was patient, offered advice on different options and found me the best deals. I ended up going with the carbon colour kitchen cupboards and marble effect carysil worktop. I did spend more than I had originally planned but I love my new kitchen and am really happy with my choices.

The installation team arranged by Wickes were also really great, I’d definitely recommend SN Installations. Simon explained every step of the process. He clearly has a lot of experience with kitchen installations and made suggestions along the way. Simon was also very patient, as I can be quite indecisive at times! Nothing was too much trouble.

For the building work, I used Price & Sons who were recommended by Simon. Danny and his team made things really easy for me and explained every step of the process. They also made recommendations along the way which helped a lot! Again, very patient! I would also definitely recommend Price & Sons.

I had a lot of work done in a short amount of time; new kitchen, wall knocked out to create a kitchen diner and also knocked through to the garage to create a utility and downstairs toilet. There were a few issues along the way but with Simon and Danny’s teams working really well together it was all resolved.

I was quite anxious about this big project as I was managing it on my own but I’m over the moon with the quality of work that has been completed and I can’t thank Alannah, Simon, Danny and their teams enough.

We called into Wickes in Grantham to have a look at the kitchens, but we had absolutely no idea where to start. Duncan came over to us and he was amazing from the start. He talked us through everything fully and was so knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. He gave us ideas and suggested options to fit our budget that we would never have thought of ourselves. The very next day, Duncan visited our property to measure up and talk it all through with us. We had another appointment with Duncan at the Grantham store five days later where he presented the fitted kitchen as it would look to us on the computer. He had worked so hard getting everything together so quickly and he had thought of every little detail. Duncan completely listened to everything we said whilst offering good advice and expertise. We cannot recommend Wickes highly enough and we would certainly return to Duncan in the future if we need anything further. Also a heartfelt thank you to Shannon who spent a lot of time talking through all of the flooring options with us, she was really friendly and helpful and again, her great knowledge of the products was apparent. A massive thank you from two extremely satisfied customers.

The whole process of purchasing, designing & installing our new bathroom & cloakroom has been excellent. Duncan at Grantham has been amazing throughout - even phoning me on his day off to sort a minor delivery issue. The team are highly professional & extremely personable. Everything went very smoothly and to plan. Ron & Kyle, the installation team, did a fantastic job. We cannot fault the service we received from them also. We would highly recommend Wickes at Grantham to anyone needing a new bathroom. Thank you all so much.

Duncan Woolmer He listened and understood all my needs and help me achieve a kitchen that fitted within my budget. He went above and beyond with all aspects of his service. The result was a beautiful kitchen fitted by Damian. Would highly recommended both Duncan and Damian

Duncan Woolmer was my bathroom designer at Wickes in Grantham and he exceeded all my expectations with his polite, professional, friendly and knowledgeable advice. He followed the project through from the initial design to the finished installation and was always available to help if I had a query (even when he was off sick for the day!) He listened to what I said and my new bathroom is exactly what I wanted . I’m very grateful Duncan . Thank you .

What an absolutely fantastic experience. From start to finish our kitchen design and fit was an excellent journey of service. Both Duncan (Wickes sales and design) and Andy (fitter/joiner) were easy to deal with, attentive and had superb attention to detail. Both me and my partner cannot be any more complimentary. Design to fitting finished was around 6 weeks with almost no snagging requirements. Duncan even called in after the fitting to check in on the project.

We had our new bathroom designed by Duncan Woolmer in the Grantham store and Duncan was brilliant and so professional and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Duncan supported us through the whole process and we are so pleased with our new Wickes bathroom. All the staff in Grantham are so helpful too, with thanks to Clare also for her fantastic customer service. I’d gladly recommend Wickes Grantham design services if you’re planning a new bathroom/kitchen etc.
