I was in to exchange door latches and could not see a specific type. At the desk, i showed Nikki a screenshot of it from the website and she knew instantly where it was and headed off to collect it.
I took the opportunity to ask about Mitre saw that was only showing available in Stirling and Nikki looked at the possibility to order it for delivery and was willing to show me other models they had in stock in the Dunfermline branch.
It's great when someone offers the time to look at options and Nikki was a clear confident communicator, which i appreciated.

We had a brilliant experience with our kitchen purchase from start to finish. We met with Marius, who arranged a home measure and later had a meeting to discuss our options. We were guided through our purchase really well with no pressure whatsoever. We were given realistic timelines on the installation process. Our installation went flawlessly, managed by our fitter Darren (whom we could not have been happier with). Great team, great job. We couldn’t be happier with our new kitchen. Even the kids want to keep it tidy!

Great experience at the shop, big thanks to David and he advise. He was very knowledgeable and friendly, great customer service!

I am a volunteer at a local charity and this was my first in-person visit to the Dunfermline Store in Halbeath. Everyone I interacted with was very welcoming and kind while collecting our charity donation. Caroline, Stacey, and Katie helped make the experience very special and I would not hesitate to go back in the future for my personal shopping.

We were helped today by David to get wood for a new fence. I wanted to write a review to say that David was great. He helped load the wood onto the trolley and then organised a trade discount for my husband. The discount wasn’t something we were aware of but it made a huge difference and I’m sure my husband will make good use of this for his buisness. David was chatty, efficient and an asset to your store. We will definitely be back. He made the shopping experience a positive one. More David’s in the world please!

We visited the store at the end of January to look at what Wickes had to offer regarding a new bathroom. We were introduced to Marius who over the next week designed our perfect bathroom. Scott of Scott Page were appointed as the installation contractor. Scott has been amazing and completed the bathroom last week on time. Both Marius and Scott deserve 5 stars. There were a few issues with missing parts on delivery but it was all resolved with no hassle. Thank you.

Visited Wickes Dunfermline for some gardening supplies today. Nikki and David were very helpful in helping me find what I needed at a good price and even helped me to my car with my purchases. Thanks again!

Went into the Dunfermline store today and the staff were so approachable and helpful,

Delivery missing doors, dishwasher and worktops. My wife spoke to Tommy who suggested redelivery might be possible and promised to call her back. He did not call back. When my wife called back and happened to speak to Tommy again on the call he told her it was too late in the day to sort anything out despite it being him who failed to return her call. The missing items are now due to be delivered on Saturday for a kitchen that was meant to be finished on Friday. Not happy with the total lack of concern or recognition of how the failure of the company has caused additional inconvenience to a young family with a toddler as well as local tradesmen who are now trying their best to reorganise their diaries. I had specifically used my limited annual leave to be available for the pre-arranged installation now to have additional work to fit around shift work. Far below standard I was hoping for.

I would add however that the staff in the local store and the trades they work with have been fantastic. Complete opposite of the appalling customer service in speaking to the call centre about delivery problems.

I’d give 0 stars if I could.

Ordered a bathroom where installation started on 9th December 2025… it’s now 11th March 2026 and I still don’t have a completed bathroom.

Further to that, the level of workmanship is absolutely shocking. There is about 20-25mm gap between the plinth and sink unit, decorative trim around the window looks like it has been chewed instead of cut with a saw and the wet wall isn’t properly fitted leaving visible lines and potential water ingress. The ceiling panels were also cut at various different lengths leaving 15mm gaps at points which the installer just filled with sealant.

Not only that, I was left without any hot water (and still am) at the tap because the original fitters have likely plumbed the hot water pipe into the cold. The towel rail was also not functional which has thankfully been fixed.

The customer service is also shocking. You’ll get quick responses until you raise issues then you can go weeks without any reply/follow up.

Don’t be fooled into thinking a big company offers peace of mind that you’ll get what you pay for because for the money I’m spending on this bathroom, I’d value it at half of what I’ve paid. Currently fighting for some compensation but surprise surprise, getting no response and will likely have to go through the courts and present photographic evidence of what I’ve been left with.

Avoid at all costs!

Update: Hot water has been fixed but as for everything else it’s a no. Sent out the wrong items yet again. Going on 4 months and still not finished…

Went in to collect my items using click and collect, ended up buying more thanks too David and Nicki giving me fantastic information on products spent £100 not including my click and collect but what can I say! Fantastic sale reps also the kitchen South African accent he will be booked to come measure up my kitchen after he shown me a kitchen I fell in love with at a fantastic price! What a lovely team at Dunfermline you have! You should be proud!
Great help to my car very chatty and what a great sense of humour they have too and they work like family! Normally a B&Q gal but I'm now all for whickes

Wickes Dunfermline have been a great support for our local calais woods community group. As volunteers, giving up our time to improve & maintain our local greenspace, donations of tools & materials from businesses like Wickes is an invaluable support.

I managed to remove some of the lacquer of my laminate worktop so I paid a visit to the store this morning, although there wasn’t anything suitable Janice was so helpful taking me up and showing me what products they had and also asking other colleagues if they knew anything that I could use, so 5 stars Janice and a wee shout out to Diane too who is always very helpful, lovely store and lovely staff.
