I went in looking for advice on buying kitchen cabinets. I was greeted by a young man who helped me through the whole process. He was knowledgeable and engaging. Made the whole thing so much easier. Well done Liam, you’re a star 🌟

I rarely venture into physical stores, preferring to shop online, but needed several bags of sand and gravel. I explained to Alex that my back was “not fit for purpose”, and he was incredibly helpful and conscientious. He made sure everything went smoothly and loaded all the bags into my car. His kindness and willingness to help turned a potentially difficult shopping trip into an easy one. Thank you, Alex—much appreciated.

Becci is the queen of Wickes, always greets me with a smile. She is always happy to get stuff down from the racks for me and I can ask in advance if I know I need something for the next day she will make sure there is enough on the shelves. Makes my daily visits much easier

We had a kitchen and utility room designed by Andy at Barnstaple. He had great ideas and planned it well. It was delivered on time by 2 helpful men. Andy ordered everything we required with no silly extras. Overall a very good experience, good quality and value for money.

We were greeted when we entered the store which makes the store feel welcoming. We were served by Liam when we went to the till and he was very friendly and polite. I had a query and he dealt with it in a very professional manner whilst maintaining his friendliness.

I came in to wickes for some ply wood for a van conversion. Liam was very helpful, polite and friendly. Couldn’t be happier with the customer service

Popped into wicked today for a few bits and pieces, was met by Alex b, very friendly and helpful, sorted me out with some paint after the paint I went in for was out of stock, even though it showed in stock on the website !

I had a bathroom design appointment with Janice yesterday and couldn’t have been happier with the experience. She was incredibly knowledgeable, personable, and very helpful throughout, taking the time to answer all of my questions and offer great advice without any pressure. She made the whole process enjoyable. I’m really looking forward to hopefully moving ahead with the installation in the next few months. Thank you, Janice, for your excellent service!

Once again a kitchen fitted two years ago and nothing but problems and Wickes will not rectify under the zten year warranty.
1. Damaged worktop
2. New wooden flooring sliding out of place.
3. Wooden panels on cupboard base splitting.

But the fault apparently for the worktop and floor problem was noticed a week after installation, but not Wickes fault.

And the wooden panels splitting was caused by cleaning although none of the panels were sealed where they meet the floor.

Never ever buy a kitchen from wickes

Ordered my nine bags of bark and weed killer and a pot of ready made cement on the 29th/5/2026 I had my confirmation and also then I had a delivery slot for the 30th /5/2026 11 am to 3 pm actually turned up this. 31/5/2026 at about 14:15 ? Loads of excuses vehicle broke down but the vehicle should’ve turned up at Wickes Barnstaple am on the 30th to load but didn’t turn up until 17:30 to load the staff at Wickes Barnstable kept me informed of what was going on sorry it was down so late to the courier  CITY SPRINT 

Ordered 13 bags of compost that were due to be delivered on 29 May. Nothing arrived and no phone call as promised. Checked the system today and it stated that there had been a problem and to contact the store that I did. They were next to useless and agreed it hadn't been delivered and said their courier doesn't let them know why it wasn't delivered and the member of staff obviously had no intention of chasing them up. I made it clear I needed the delivery for a project this weekend and again he couldn't care less and said the best he could do was to deliver it next Wednesday (5 days late!). I checked again this evening on their couriers website that now says they were at my address at 16.23 and then back at the store at 16.33. As I live over 20 miles from the store if they can get back to the store in 10 minutes get them a job in Formula 1. Somebody is lying!!
I have used Wickes a lot over the years without issues but this experience has been appalling with a couldn't care less attitude and less than truthful courier staff. Why can't it be delivered tomorrow as I know they have all the stuff I want available in store and you would have a reasonably happy customer, leave it to Wednesday and you have a very unhappy customer?
Tried calling the national number to get some help, it rang and rang for ages until I gave up. Sums up Wickes attitude to their customers on this occasion.

Zac was incredibly patient and helpful whilst trying to source us some wood for panelling. This wonderful young man went above and beyond customer service to help us. He is a credit to the store and certainly knows customer service. Give this amazing young man a pay rise . X

Our designer Janice was infinitely patient and really knowledgeable. She offered some really useful suggestions and solutions as part of the design process. We were really happy with the outcome and felt fully informed to make a decision.

Myself and my husband met with Sophie today in Barnstaple to get advice on designing our new kitchen. She was fantastic, so helpful and knowledgeable about all of the products and easy to talk to. We placed an order, very happy
