I visited the rotherham branch my bridal party all chose a dress under strict instructions A line with sleeves and lace they followed through but i noticed a dress on a mannequin and i knew that was the dress i tried it on and instantly fell in love with it amazingly priced and a dress thats out of this world...i got allocated a lady called angela/angie and well what can i say wonderful woman heart of a saint and patience of a god i cried i went mardy and i thought about giving up i was torn between 2 dresses that i wished could be put into one but i knew this dress was for me from the moment i put it on 😍 thank you so much angie for being so patient and compassionate you truly are a wonderful lady you told me when something didnt look rite you was a huge part in me choosing my final dress and i cant thank you enough my hubby to be is going to love it 🫶 ladies if you want the perfect dress wed4less is your place to be amazing staff very polite and they know what they are doing 🫶🫶 thank you beautiful ladies youv absolutely made my dreams come true 🫶🫶🩷

I arrived at the West Brom store with the expectation of buying 2 junior bridesmaid dresses, however. The colours couldn’t be matched to my maid of honor dress purchased from a different store. Hollie did everything she could to see if they could find a match and couldn’t. Queue my first meltdown as a bride! Hollie then had to help us find two junior dresses AND a new maid of honor dress. She was so lovely throughout the process & couldn’t be more helpful with advice and honest feedback. Truly grateful for a lovely experience that could have so easily gone very much the other way with my stress levels! We look forward to collecting our dresses soon x

WED 4 LESS Halifax west yorkshire - Shocking Customer Service and Lack of Communication
Dear Head Office,
I am writing to express my absolute disgust and disappointment regarding the service I have received from your company.
From the day I placed my order, worth nearly £1,000, there has been a complete and utter lack of communication. Not once have I been proactively updated about the status of my purchase. As a customer spending a significant amount of money, I expected a basic level of service and courtesy. Instead, I have been met with indifference at every stage.
When I contacted Head Office to seek an update, I took the time to write a detailed explanation of my concerns and frustrations, spanning almost an entire A4 page. The response I received was little more than four lines that effectively said, "Wait your turn and it will arrive when it arrives." There was no apology, no understanding, no reassurance, and certainly no attempt to address the concerns I had raised. It was dismissive, uncaring and frankly insulting.
What has disappointed me most is the complete lack of customer care shown by Head Office. At no point have I felt valued as a customer. Your attitude appears to be that once you have taken a customer's money, their concerns simply do not matter.
For clarity, this complaint is not directed at the staff in your Halifax Dean Clough store. The team there have been polite, helpful and understanding throughout. In fact, they openly acknowledged my frustrations and advised that they have received multiple complaints from other customers regarding the poor communication and treatment they have experienced from Head Office. That alone should be setting alarm bells ringing within your organisation.
The issue is not the store. The issue is Head Office and what appears to be a culture of complete disregard for customers once an order has been placed.
I can honestly say that this has been one of the worst customer service experiences I have encountered. Had there been honest communication, regular updates and some evidence that customer concerns actually mattered, this situation could have been avoided. Instead, I have been left feeling ignored, frustrated and utterly let down.
Would I shop with your company again? Absolutely not.
I would not return to your Halifax Dean Clough store, nor would I recommend your company to friends, family or colleagues based on this experience. When customers spend close to £1,000, they expect professionalism, communication and respect. Unfortunately, your Head Office has demonstrated none of these qualities.
I hope this complaint is taken more seriously than my previous correspondence, although based on my experience so far, I am not holding my breath.

prom dress
at first, the manager in west bromwich was very welcoming and amazing to try dresses on with but going back a whole four months later, they were very not into the whole interaction as if they got their money and was done with my mom and i. when trying on the actual dress for my prom, it was clearly poorly made with threads coming off it, the dress was also far too big and the workers blamed me for “losing weight” when i was clearly the exact same size. we took it home anyways after signing a contract without being given a chance to read it and when trying on the dress a second time at home it gave no support and the strap ripped just from putting my boob into the dress. from further inspection of the dress i realised the whole thing was like that and even the other strapwas on its way out, after paying £500 for a dress and a plastic bag i expected a little more from it. i’ve got two weeks left till prom and no place to alter it with no time to find another dress
Appalling service form the point of collection
On the initial visit to choose a wedding dress for my fiancée, the staff were good in helping he choose a suitable dress (it was not a traditional white wedding dress, but more of a bridesmaid dress instead). It apparently takes 17 weeks for them to have the dress made, and we were informed that we would have to make our own arrangements for any alterations which we understood as they are not made to measure. Once we got the call that the dress was ready, we were not allowed to simply turn up and collect it but had to book an appointment which were limited in availability and would have meant that we would have to wait another two weeks for a weekend appointment. However, we did get a call back that an appointment had become available sooner. And then the problems started. Upon arrival to collect the dress, we were not allowed to try the dress on first but were forced to sign to say that the dress was OK before we could even inspect it, which left us with little option. Once my fiancée tried the dress, it was ill fitting, damaged clasps and a slightly different material to the one she initially tried and ordered, but again had no choice but to accept the dress. Once home, the more we thought about it, the more it seemed that something didn't feel right with the situation so we called the shop to raise our concerns, but the only solution offered was that we could bring the dress back for inspection, with a view to potentially do a rush order on a new dress IF they agreed with our concerns, but then that would not leave us enough time to have any alterations done, and there was no guarantee that a new dress would be any better. So, we have had to work with the dress we have and arrange for a professional tailor to make alterations which has cost more that the cost of the dress itself. The tailor has also informed us that for the type of dress we ordered, that we were incorrectly advised on sizing. The whole situation from the point of collection has left a really bad taste in our mouths, as it is simply unprofessional to force someone to accept goods without being able to inspect/try on!
Be very wary of using this company.
EDIT: Following on from the reply from the company:
On collection, we were categorically told that we could not inspect or try on the dress unless we signed for it first to say that it was OK, which clearly it was not, and I suspect that you realised this hence forcing us to sign for the dress first.
Following my complaint over the phone, yes you offered to have a look at the dress but given the timescales involved, it would not have left us enough time to have any alterations made (which are significant as the dress was not the same as the one tried on in the shop), and having consulted with a professional tailor to work with what we have, she has advised that we were advised incorrectly in terms of sizing with a view to having alterations made, and I trust the professional over yourselves.
I wish we had read the reviews before we visited as these problems seem to be a common theme, and we would definitely advise people to avoid this company.

Sandra was absolutely lovely, professional, and genuinely sincere. She made me feel comfortable from the moment I arrived and took the time to listen to what I was looking for without any pressure. Her knowledge, patience, and friendly approach made the whole experience so enjoyable and special.

A wonderful experience
I’ve had such a wonderful experience buying my dream wedding dress at their Great Bridge/West Bromwich store. From when I first visited, back in February, Dawn was extremely helpful and let me choose several dresses to try on, eventually finding ‘the one’. Today I’ve been to collect my dress and, despite it being busy in the shop, Dawn could sense I was anxious about the dress fitting and so she found the time to let me try it on before taking it home.
I would recommend Dawn and Wed4less to anyone in the Midlands who is looking for a wedding, bridesmaid or prom dress.

I visited today with my daughter for her prom dress. Selina greeted us on arrival and couldn’t do enough to help. My daughter fell in love with a dress which wasn’t actually available but Selina went above and beyond to accommodate. I would 100% return in the future. The lady and manager in the office was lovely and super friendly and professional. The only criticism I have is I think for the price of the dresses you should get a proper dress bag not just a bag like from the dry cleaners. I should have mentioned at the time for them to rectify but didn’t think about it until afterwards. Service was 10/10

went yesterday just for a browse as i had no idea what style of wedding dress i wanted. i was blown away by the choice. there were racks upon racks of dresses in each size and they were all reasonable priced! i chose 3 dresses to try on and Debbie helped me. it is a very relaxed atmosphere no pressure at all. Aa it happened the first dress i tried on was the one! i would definitely recommend wed4less for anyone looking for a wedding dress.

Extremely disappointed
Extremely disappointed. My wedding dress started coming apart at the seams before I had even worn it for my wedding ceremony. The damage was clearly due to faulty stitching, not wear and tear or alterations. A wedding dress should be fit for purpose and survive the wedding day, yet mine was already falling apart.
To make matters worse, customer service has refused to accept any responsibility for what is clearly poor workmanship. A very upsetting experience and not the level of quality or service I expected.

I had such an amazing experience with Wed4Less Halifax from start to finish. My sales assistant Mia was incredibly helpful, accommodating, and genuinely made me feel special throughout the whole appointment. She listened carefully, made me feel completely at ease, and helped turn what could have been a stressful experience into such a memorable and exciting one.
When i arranged a follow up viewing of my dress for friends and family the atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and relaxed the entire time, as it was at the first appointment. Nothing felt rushed, and I truly felt looked after every step of the way.
Thank you to Mia and Heidi for making such an important moment so enjoyable — I would highly recommend Wed4Less to anyone looking for their wedding dress!
