Fantastic experience
I visited the Vodafone store today with my mother to see if we could get her sorted out with a long overdue new phone. Shes not always confident with technology but M Jay really took the time to understand her, how she currently uses her device and he was incredibly kind and patient with her. He answered all her questions and made the whole process simple and clear to understand. 11/10 from us today, I would love it if M Jay could be recognised in some way because he was absolutely amazing with us today

Vodafone PYG 6-Month Bundles
According to the Vodafone shop assistant in my postcode area, the internet speed using the 4G network should be 62 Mb/s. One of the assistants demonstrated a speed in the region of this on his phone. I explained that all I was getting was about 6 Mb/s, but often considerably less—sometimes below 1 Mb/s. I was told this was due to being inside rather than outside the house and that their 4G network was fine.
Inside the shop, my phone indicated 50 Mb/s, but outside, just a few feet away, it dropped to 10 Mb/s. Back home, and standing outside, it was, as expected, no different compared to inside—about 6 Mb/s.
I believe the reality is nowhere near what they claim due to too many people using their service and that they're finding a way to boost the signal strength substantially inside their shops to hoodwink prospective customers.
Earlier in the day, I called their call center and was given the same fictitious information. The operative also suggested that the problem lay with my phone, despite it being a decent model running Android 16. I explained that the speeds were no different on any of my devices, even on a much older phone running Android 9. His reaction was to suggest a factory reset, and at that stage, I hung up!
