My engagement ring was made by The Village Goldsmith. It is a unique design and I always get compliments for how beautiful the ring is. Very responsive to all the design queries from us before store visit.The staff were really helpful. The Wellington store is just beautiful with so many designs to choose from. Defintely recommended.

The Village Goldsmith crafted a custom signet ring for me with very detailed engraving of the Prince of Wales Feathers. Everything about my purchase exceeded expectation. The service was exceptional and the quality of the final product had me lost for words. Outstanding

Ian really listened, to everything. His designs are technically brilliant , like slightly angling the shape to show off the diamond better and streamlining the shape to the shape of my finger, but he also designs from the heart. The diamond we were using had great sentimental value to me so I was a little emotional each time I went in, but the staff were so kind . They gave me cold drinks and were incredible. The cad team did an amazing job of mocking up the design so I could get a true idea of how the ring would look ,using the latest 3 D printer.The whole experience was very special. The ring itself is a beautiful piece of art which I will treasure and pass down to my daughter after me.

I purchased an engagement ring from the Village Goldsmith - the whole experience from the initial consultation to the facilitation of delivery to the international airport (as I was proposing overseas) was hassle-free. The staff support and care for my order was exceptional as I received regular updates on the progress of the making of the ring. Additionally, the staff was very accommodating for my needs even with a tight schedule. Thank you so much!

I recently married again after being widowed nearly three years ago. The village goldsmith created my engagement and wedding rings, which I absolutely love. The service was fantastic, and I was communicated with, every step of the way! Thank you so much, I couldn't be happier.

After sadly having to return my first engagement ring with another jeweller due to continuous faults I was sceptical about shopping for another ring.
I would pop into chain store jewellers randomly for a quick look and be bombarded with questions and 'sales' and package 'deals', but it all felt fake, like I was being tricked.
I first walked past The Village Goldsmith on a Wellington weekend away thinking, oh, I can't go in there it looks too flash and expensive. But it got to the point where price wasn't a determining factor anymore and I wandered in.
After a few minutes of peace and browsing time we were greeted by Georgina. She was super understanding of our venture and really down to earth. I tried on a few items, but fell in love with a ring that was just out of my price range.
When Georgina said she could customise a piece to suit my budget in the exact shape and style I wanted I was thrilled!
Further to that, my partner and I are based in Dunedin. So Georgina along with some other support staff were able to email and communicate with me whilst we designed and quoted my perfect ring.
Within a few weeks it was being sent down by courier.
I have nothing but good things to say about the service, operations and quality of The Village Goldsmiths products and will be back when it comes time to pick our wedding bands.
