My experience with Wheels 2009 Ltd
I bought an Audi A4 S-Line from John Mayhew at Wheels 2009 Ltd on 134-154 Handford Road on 19th November 2025. I had the car for 24 hours and drove 27 miles. The following day the car had no drive and I believe the clutch was broken so I rang John to inform him of this issue. He answered first time and told me he would fix the issue then proceeded to ignore my calls until my parents rang him to get answers. A tow company picked the car up the following day and informed me that it would be taken back to John’s forecourt. John informed me that his mechanic would fix the car. On 25th November 2025, he rang me and told me I had to pay half to fix the clutch which I refused to do as I believe the fault was inherent as I had only owned the car for 24 hours and therefore, based on my understanding of the Consumer Rights Act 2015, I believed he was responsible for addressing the issue. He hung the phone up on me so I went to his dealership to speak to him in person and serve him with a letter of rejection asking for a full refund which was my right to do so under sections 20 and 22 of the Consumer Rights Act 2015. I also posted this same letter using special delivery as advised by Citizens Advice and the matter has been referred to Trading Standards. When I arrived at his forecourt my car was nowhere in sight and John informed me that it had been taken to C J Motor Tech on Waveney Road for diagnostic without my knowledge or consent. Since then, I have waited 14 days for a response and have received complete radio silence, not even an acknowledgement of receipt of the letter. I have now also posted a final opportunity to resolve letter and am awaiting 7 days for a response to this. I am also still taking advice from Citizens Advice about further action. I advise you to treat this dealership with caution if you wish to do business with them.
