A lovely range of good quality carpets

A lovely range of good quality carpets. I was able to choose the perfect carpet. They were very pleasant and helpful. I have ordered previously and the quality and service is excellent.

The carpet has a line going end to end

The carpet has a line going end to end, right through the middle. The fitter said it is where it has been creased at the end of the roll. He said after a couple of vacuums it will lift. It has been vacuumed many times now and the line of crushed carpet is still just as visible. I’m disappointed because apart from this, it’s a nice carpet

While light creasing from being rolled can sometimes settle after installation and regular vacuuming, we understand how disappointing it is that this hasn’t improved in your case—especially when you’re otherwise happy with the carpet.

Ordered carpet over 5 weeks ago

We ordered carpet over 5 weeks ago from Preston store. Took money upon order. Said it would be around a week for delivery. After 3 weeks of no communication from the store we had to chase them up. Poor customer service. Don’t answer the phone, just cuts out. We called 14 times on one occasion waiting for someone to answer the phone! 5 weeks gone by still no carpet. That fed up we went into the shop & requested a refund. Will never use them again.

Long wait

Paid for a carpet for my mums bedroom, they sent someone to check the measurements which were correct so the carpet was then ordered.
Two weeks later I called the store to ask if the carpet was in so we could book the fitting. I rang at least 9 times and left it ringing until it cancelled but no one answered. I also emailed the store, never received a reply. Finally someone answered in the afternoon and rudely told me the carpet wasn’t in but would be on the following Tuesday.

Fast forward to Tuesday, again after calling several times someone answered, sounded the same as the rude guy previously who said the carpet wasn’t there so it would now be the next delivery day… the following Tuesday!

The next Tuesday came so I rang and was told they hadn’t checked the order in yet so I asked that they ring me later in the afternoon when they knew if they had my carpet.

By 4pm, no call so I rang back and was told they didn’t have my carpet!
I was then told should have ordered a carpet that was in the shop! I said no one had told me I would be waiting for weeks for the carpet and no one advised me to order from the stock already in.

I then had to go back in the store the following day and choose another carpet which was booked in to be fitted the following morning… great!

The following morning I had the carpet fitter ring me to say I had been given the incorrect price for fitting and it was now £20 extra.

Such a poor service and we will not be returning to carpet the rest of the house which is under renovation

Carpets

The carpet is amazing the underlay we chose was perfect the only down side was the fitting after checking when the fitters had gone the carpet had a slight lump in the middle like it hadn’t be stretched enough to the skirtings other than that yes I would purchase from the company again

Preston United Carpets were fantastic…

Preston United Carpets were fantastic from start to finish! The team were professional, helpful, and made the whole process easy — from choosing the right carpet to the final fitting. The fitters were friendly, efficient, and paid great attention to detail, leaving everything clean and tidy. The carpet itself is top quality and looks incredible, completely transforming the room. Good carpet, good price, fitted well

Good quality carpet at a good price. I needed the carpet fitting before Christmas - be aware there is a significant lead time for some ordered-in carpets that are produced abroad (up to 3 weeks). The carpet I wanted was on 3 week lead time so I chose another which was delivered in a week. United managed to get the fitting done before Christmas. The fitters did a great job. United have now re-carpeted my entire house. Can't complain at all. The carpets are lovely and well fitted.

Very disappointed with the service from…

Very disappointed with the service from Untied Carpets and Beds. We specifically asked for two different colours of carpet, but only one colour was ordered. On top of that, they didn’t order enough laminate flooring to complete the job, which caused unnecessary delays and inconvenience. This shows a lack of attention to detail and poor planning. We expected much better communication and professionalism.

Better customer communication needed

If you’re in a new build and wanting carpet ASAP like we were, I’d find someone else, as we were walking around on subfloor for over 3 weeks.

Customer communication is a massive let down with this site - firstly we were told the wrong date for the measuring. Then we were told 7-10 day delivery after we paid for the carpet - it ended up being delivered after 22 days, with the only updates given when I had to chase for them several times. I appreciate delays happen in the supply chain, but take accountability for updating your customer, especially when they pay considerable money upfront!

Actual carpet fitting was fine and the quality is lovely, just the process of getting to this point was a massive let down.

We have no received our carpet which…

We have no received our carpet which was paid for on the 1st October and was told we could have it fitted the next week and they would ring when it was in store, after 2 weeks we called into the store and were advised it would be here on the 28th October, on that date I got a phone call saying that it would be available on the 11th November we have been back to the store again today and it's still not arrived and now being told it might be next week

No problems with measuring and estimate…

No problems with measuring and estimate first class was advised it would take approximately 1week once I ordered and paid took over 3 weeks no problems with fitting again first class very professional efficient and tidy just let down with comunacating with shop assistant

Very good customer service, reasonable prices, extended hours

Overall very good customer service. Had good guidance and help in choosing material and also when they came to measure. Ordering to laying the carpet was a smooth process. Good prices as well. Shop at Preston is open for longer hours in comparison to some others which was also very helpful. Slight issues with phones not being manned properly during busy hours so have had to ring few times to contact, but they were quite helpful when i managed to speak to them. So far very Happy customer.

Great experience

Am extremely pleased with the quality of the carpets and the value for money.
Everyone I dealt with at United C andB Preston was polite friendly and efficient.
