Very helpful and great job

From the ordering in the store to the delivery it was a good experience. The delivery guys were very professional and cheerful, they removed old bed and mattress first then assembled the divan and headboard in no time at all. Very impressed! As for the divan it is a dream to sleep on, perfect!!

Excellent service in every way possible. Treated better than any other company of the similar sales and I am pleased with my new product.

We are really pleased with the carpet that we chose. Delivery of carpet and the fitting was very quick. The carpet fitters were very professional and did a fantastic job. United carpets are a friendly company and we wouldn’t hesitate to use again 😊

Went in to buy a carpet for the bedroom. Chose one and then found a salesman (I think his name was Adam- middle aged man) who told me that furring was free if I bought underlay for the carpet. So he told me it would be £229 to pay today and £60 when it was fitted as the fitters are self employed. He got me to pay and then afterwards said ‘you will have to empty the room and get the carpet removed too before they get there. I explained as I am disabled I wouldn’t be able to do this. He just shrugged. I went to my car with my partner and felt overwhelmed. A few minutes later I went back in and asked for a refund. He didn’t offer for the fitter’s to remove it for a fee or anything at all. Just gave me my refund back onto my card and I left.
Very disappointed with lack of service and care.

Ok but took a long time for carpet to turn up

I buy my carpets and fit myself. Everyone is really helpful and I’ve never had a bad experience. I’ve recommended them to other people. Great team!

Fitters on the other hand were rude and there work was rough,

A hall, stairs & landing carpet’s always a big affair isn’t it? Especially when there’s a stairlift to be removed and replaced at the same time! A previous company I’d used had made a mess of fitting another carpet in the house so this time I tried United Carpets.

I’d never been there before and on first visiting the shop, I was overwhelmed with choice, but having had a good look around, eventually managed to see something I quite liked. The salesman was helpfulness itself and explained that what I’d chosen wasn’t really suitable for the purpose, but showed me some that were and then it was easy to make a choice. He was also fully understanding about co-ordinating with the stairlift company and was so helpful that I placed the order there and then.

The measuring and costing was done within a couple of days and once a price had been agreed and the stairlift people on board, the order was processed. They were very good at keeping me informed as to the carpet’s process. When it arrived, the fitters were organised for a week later and they were extremely efficient and helpful. They very obligingly moved one item of furniture that I couldn’t manage; and while I sat comfortably in my armchair, they did all the hard work of uplifting the old carpet and fitting the new and it looks tremendously good!

I’m absolutely delighted with the service from United Carpets, as well as the choice of carpet, the helpfulness and knowledge of the staff and the efficiency of the fitters. Ten out of ten!

Not finished the job. Paid for the materials for 3 rooms and they've only done 2 avoid at all costs

Everything went wrong from when the carpet and vinyl fitter arrived. The office hadn’t passed on information and the fitter through a hissy fit.

Ended up phoning the head office as couldn’t get anyone to answer the shop phone when we rang.

The manager (who was the fitters son) also denied what he had told us and said I shouldn’t have rung the head office, However it was the one and one other person who came to do the work after the shop had shut.

Now finding that the carpet is fraying at the edges in some places and the vinyl flooring hasn’t been glued down in places.

Quick, effective, no fuss just got in with the job. Happy with the work

Great company use them all the time , Adam the manager always looks after us

Paid for floor to be screeded
Paid cash no receipt , threw all the empty boxes in to recycle bin screed all over , poured left over on to front garden and drive
Floor layers were unable to lay floor for 3 days as screed was not dry as they had not put membrane down
Was advised by floor layers that if not bone dry the flooring would come up in few months as glue will not stick
Only time will tell
Have used this shop for years
Never again
Feel like I have been ripped off

Excellent service from start to finish good quality carpet's and a great price, fast fitting service to, all the staff were very friendly and helpful.

The staff in the shop was really helpful and friendly same with the fitters they did do the job well. one thing I will say is they could of used a bit more glue spray when laying the vinyl as parts of the flooring lift up.

First time choosing carpet, Ryan in the Lincoln branch was a great help and really happy with my choice.
The fitters were legends, turned up on time, in, fitted and gone, very professional and just got on with the job. Couldn't recommend enough.

Review for United Carpets Lincoln

I would like to share my extremely disappointing experience with United Carpets Lincoln. The scheduled carpet fitting, which was supposed to take place today, did not happen. To begin with, the team arrived significantly late with no apology or explanation for the delay. After several attempts to contact their office, they finally arrived after 12 pm.

The manager, who also identified himself as the owner's son (in an unnecessarily arrogant manner), arrived with a clearly negative attitude. Upon arrival, he immediately stated that they couldn’t proceed with the job because there were people in the office and computers on the desk. Despite informing them that we would quickly move these items ourselves, which would have taken only a couple of minutes, the manager was adamant that the job could not be done. His response was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. His demeanor was so concerning that I honestly wondered if he was under the influence of drugs or alcohol. He even stepped outside to make a phone call, only to disappear altogether, leaving us with no explanation or resolution.

To make matters worse, I later spoke with someone from their Lincoln office named Ryan, who gave me an entirely different account of the situation — one that was completely opposite to what actually happened. The lack of professionalism, respect, and courtesy shown by the manager, as well as the false account provided by their office, was truly appalling.

The most frustrating part is that the carpet had already been fully paid for, yet we received nothing but excuses, disrespect, and empty promises. Threatening a customer with "I am the manager" and "I am the owner's son" was not only uncalled for but utterly inappropriate.

I requested a refund, and I received an email asking for my full card number and security code. This is completely unacceptable. If the security code is provided, they would be able to use the card, which raises serious concerns about security and trust.

I am deeply disappointed by this experience and will not be recommending United Carpets Lincoln to anyone in the future.
