United Carpets & Beds - Leicester Aylestone Road Recensioni 

Having waited 3 weeks for a replacement to a faulty carpet, I had to accept an alternative colour as the replacement hadn't been ordered and was still 3 weeks away.... A total of 6 weeks for a bedroom to be out of use!
Carpet arrived, the end of the roll was open to the rain as the plastic had split.
Carpet was fitted, 2 areas that showed as a different colour after vacuuming. Photos sent to the store (Aylestone Road) with a question had the carpet been checked (as promised by the manager ,) reply back ....no we didn't, it was raining....
Followed by what can only be taken as comments that can only be taken that I was either lying about the carpet or I'd done it myself. (And all done behind an anonymous email reply.)
The store currently owes me money for damage caused at the previous fitting that hasn't been paid and further discount for the issues caused.
Whoever the anonymous person is behind the email, they have no idea how to talk to customers, no support, no empathy, no willingness to help.

Update 02/09
No real progress, no call as requested.
Gave them an option to view the carpet for the following day, today, no reply.
Have given them a deadline to pay the owed money within 7 days and have the carpet replaced by Friday night.
No reply.

I've also tried to email customerservce at unitedcarpets.co.uk. And it just bounces back.

Avoid this store.

Toilet vinyl fitted completely out of square. Plank effect 1" from wall at the rear and 5" at the front, shocking . Took photos and sent to shop. Was given fitters number for ME to contact him!. Fitter said buy some more vinyl and he'll come over from Birmingham and fit it !. . No resolution from the shop really didn't feel I was left with any option as it looks so bad . Went in to shop and paid for another lot of vinyl and fitting. ( so now paid double just to get the job hopefully done right) Only reason for any stars is the exceptional job the fitter did on my lounge laminate. 24/8/26 UPDATE was being fitted tomorrow but they cancelled due to the flooring being faulty. Waiting for new stock. Feel disappointed that a superb job with the laminate was overshadowed by slap dash rushed job and lack of accountability. 25.8.26 fitter came and fitted new vinyl straight and square. Thank you.

We used United Carpets for the flooring in our new home and encountered issues both during and after installation, requiring constant complaints. To make matters worse, we also ordered a bed as part of our purchase. Delivery was delayed well past the agreed date, and when the bed finally arrived, it was missing parts.

Communication has been terrible. The customer service representative from the beddings was rude, rigid and unhelpful. Every time we call for an update, we get vague answers and no real resolution, with zero proactive follow-up from their team. We spent a significant amount of money and received unacceptable service and value in return. I would not recommend them.

All around they were great! We had a couple of issues at the beginning with staff coming out to measure up our flooring, but once this was resolved by the manager who was great, everything went very smoothly and we are very happy with the result!! Thanks guys, I have recommended to others :)

Absolutely superb service from sales team....But a big shout out to their fitter Ali done a fantastic job

Started with great service at the shop regarding our carpets. But no response after we left regarding a fitting date for kitchen and hallway floor. Leaving us no time before moving to get them done. Fitters very pleasant and did a good job. But left us with all there rubbish and different really make an effort to tidy there mess. Overall I wouldn't go back without shopping around first.

Really good service with very good fitters.
I've been using this company for about 20 years and to be honest I don't go anywhere else. I've only had one problem with them and that was maybe eight years ago when they came to measure my room and they calculated wrong leaving me with a joint in my bedroom carpet. Unfortunately they did nothing about it which is why I haven't given 5 stars as I was quite upset. I have just had another carpet fitted by them and they were brilliant. They no longer send people out to measure your room and they rely on your measurement so the responsibility is on us, which is fair enough.
I have I have also ordered an amazing bed from them but I won't don't want it delivered until a specific time and they were very helpful and said they would store it until I was ready.
The customer service is wonderful at the moment and I think the best I've ever seen.
I would highly recommend this company and will continue to use them for a very long time.

Very Poor Service – Extremely Disappointed
I had a very disappointing experience with United Carpet. While the labour work itself was acceptable, the overall service and professionalism were very poor.
Firstly, the measurements were clearly done incorrectly. The team measured the space themselves, but after installation we were left with a large amount of carpet unused. It makes me question how the measurements were taken in the first place, as the extra carpet is far more than expected. This feels like poor planning and a waste of material and money.
Secondly, the fitting team told us they would arrive between 9:00 and 9:30 AM. Because of this, both of us had to take a day off from work to be at home. Unfortunately, they did not show up at the agreed time. We had to call multiple times, and they finally arrived around 11:30 AM. This caused a lot of inconvenience and wasted our entire morning.
Customers plan their day based on the time given by the company, and this level of delay without proper communication is very unprofessional.
Overall, I am very disappointed with the service. Poor measurement, bad time management, and lack of punctuality made this a frustrating experience. I hope the company improves its customer service and organisation in the future.

After an initial bit of a mess around and let down from the Leicester store. We were apprehensive about the install of our bedrooms/landing/stairs carpet.

The whole experience was turned around by the young chap who came out to fit out carpets.

Charlie Sheard did an amazing job. He was polite, friendly, clean and tidy. Very knowledgeable and had an amazing eye for detail. The fitting of our carpets are 10/10.

He is a credit to the team. Well done.

My experiece has not been great. Twice the person who had to come and measure the floors failed to attend and nobody got in touch to notify or apologise. The experience with the fitters was very bad, leaving lumps under the carpet and scratches all over the walls and skirting boards. I had used them a few years ago and the experience was good. This time, very disapointed with the fitting service. I will not go back there again.
