Efficient, friendly, good price and on time

United Carpet has now fitted carpet in my house twice, and both times the service has been faultless. Their team is punctual, precise, and very polite. Elton was extremely helpful in helping me choose the best quality carpet for my needs. I honestly cannot find a single fault. I highly recommend them to anyone.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Liam and Brandon were so helpful in choosing and providing quotes for laminate floors and also carpets! So patient and made a daunting process so simple !

Piece of the bed missing so left without a bed for a week until they could source the part to build the bed. Removed old bed and marked my carpet by dragging it down the stairs

I had a very disappointing experience with this store.

I bought carpet and followed the verbal instructions given to me in the shop (clearing furniture, emptying wardrobes/cupboards, preparing the area, and fitter payment arrangements). However, I was not clearly told verbally that I needed to remove/uplift the old carpet myself before the fitters arrived.

On fitting day, I was then charged extra by the fitter because the old carpet had not been removed. I raised this as a complaint because this was a major preparation point that had not been properly explained to me in the sales discussion.

Instead of fairly considering my complaint, the business repeatedly relied only on their own staff version and internal “process,” and treated my explanation (and my husband’s, who was present) as if it had no value. The whole response felt biased and dismissive.

I found the customer service very stressful and upsetting. I eventually paid the remaining balance only to end the anxiety and repeated back-and-forth — not because I agreed with how my complaint was handled.

Very disappointed with the way this was dealt with. I will not use this store again.

I was desperate to get carpet just before Christmas. I rang the shop. They told me if I came in the following day pick my carpet they could fit it for me. I couldn’t believe it. I was so happy excellent customer service.

Quick and easy fitting. Guys in the show room were very good. Bought two carpets here for different properties, always good quality and good prices

My delivery turned up asked how they could get to my house. I advised them where to go and park at the end of my street. My house is a terraced house 3 doors from the end. They went away never came back. I then received a phone call to say they attempted to deliver but were unable to. I asked for a refund but was charged the delivery fee! The van they drive is the same size as my husbands and larger vans deliver here!

Excellent Service once again from United Carpets Cardiff.
We visited the store earlier this year and purchased carpets for the whole of our house. Elton was so helpful giving advice on different carpets and underlay. As we were decorating each room prior to having the carpet laid, he agreed to store the carpet for us and release room by room as we completed the decorating. Elton then visited our home and took measurements for the carpets. We had the first carpet laid in the bedroom and were so pleased with it.
A few months later we contacted Elton to arrange a date in December for carpets to be fitted in the Lounge, Dining room and Hallway. They were fitted and we are so pleased, the carpets look and feel amazing. Special thanks to the carpet fitters, Matthew and Jamie who we will definitely ask for again to fit the remaining carpets. On the fitting day, we received a phone call to say what time they would be with me. Sure enough they arrived at the time agreed, they were cheerful, very professional and respected my home. They did a fantastic job laying the carpets, and our house now feels like a home. We look forward to having the remaining carpets fitted in a few months time. Thank you Elton, Mathew and Jamie.

Was in a panic just before Christmas. Called the shop and told to come to the showroom with some measurements and photo's of the area I wanted Carpeting. The experience in the shop was great. The staff member was so patient, but also very helpful. I eventually found a carpet that I liked, and the total cost was below what I was expecting which was great. It was explained clearly to me that they do not employ fitters and why and that it was my responsibility to source one. However at my request they could help source one (they have a list of fitters numbers which obviously I do not). I picked a name from their list and the shop called them for me there and then. The fitter asked if the area was ready to go, I told him I would need an hour to get it ready. He said he would pick up the carpet later that day and fit it for me for the price the shop had quoted. The shop then deducted the amount for the fitting off my total for me to use to pay the fitter directly ( I think that's how the free fitting works, they give you a total cost, work out how much a fitter will charge then deduct it frim the total cost, so no extra chrges on top fir fitting). 3 hours later my carpet had been installed, the fitters were quick, efficient and polite and did a great job. The rubbish ( offcuts) was all bagged but I had to dispose of it. The fitter explained that it was my 'rubbish' and that if they took the rubbish away they would have a van full of black bags at the end of everyday, they would need a waste carriers license, they would have to PAY to dispose of it, which in turn would mean that I would have to pay them a lit more. But it is free for me to go to the tip. I fully understood.
The overall experience from 1st contact to final product being installed ( even though they are not Uniteds own fitters) was amazing. I was so stressed at the beggining of the day and by the end of the day I had a big smile. Thank you United Carpets Cardiff. I will be coming back soon.
PS I highly reccomend the Diamond underlay. Wow, how good it feels to walk on compared to my other carpet.

Poor fitting from fitter. Lino in bathroom started lifting only 2 weeks later. Now has air bubble and lifting next to bath. When I asked at the time, the guy said it’s supposed to be like that. All carpet grippers were cut and left all over the floor, screws and staples were also left on the carpet when they were done, and got caught up in hoover. Grippers and door hinges were left all over the place and on windowsills, which scratched all the paint and gloss. The man was quite rude, would not recommend the fitters at all that the shop sourced and would strongly advise you find someone yourself, but I guess that’s why you have to pay them directly on the day and not the shop.
Carpet itself is nice.
