2 chaps very helpful. We wanted a bedroom carpet. Some had lead times little too long for us to wait. They helped determine which we could have sooner. Also helped with info like underlay, glue and door plate which would prevent a trip hazard. Thank you for your time and patience.

Had three carpets from this store now. Quality good. Derek the fitter was good. All carpets look great. Will go back when needing more carpets or flooring

The flooring I ordered was out of stock so it was upgraded at no extra cost. Very helpful staff and fitter.

Bought carpet, excellent service and honest advise in shop (Batley) fast fitting and the fitter Derrick was very fast, knowledgeable and polite, would highly recommend.

United carpets kept in touch as to when carpets where available and delivery date Fitted on time .Derrick the fitter was quick and efficient and did a great job

Problems with fitter: My son bought some bathroom lino floor covering from the Batley store and paid to have it fitted. I was at the house to allow the fitter access. In fitting it the fitter cut the pipe to the bathroom radiator and it spurted out water like a carotid artery!. He claimed he didn't have insurance, e couldn't call a plumber, demanded payment for fitting the lino (which he had), and left me to call a plumber. He did tell the store about the damage he had caused. It cost me nearly £300 to get an emergency plumber. The fitter has avoided subsequent contact from me. The store accept no responsibility for the fitter, hiding behind a clause in the contract; in fact it has made excuses for the fitter not reimbursing me to date. On checking the UCB website there is no customer satisfaction charter or similar. AVOID THIS COMPANY. It couldn’t care less about you when things go wrong. FOLLOWING THE REPLY TO MY INITIAL POST, UCB NOW INVITE CONTACT WITH CUSTOMER SERVICE...

before my initial posting I had been in touch with Customer Services several times. It was unhelpful. I also contacted the store several times. The only way for me to recover my plumbers costs is to take the fitter to court. AND as at 5 Feb UCB continue to recommend this fitter to fit carpets etc. That tells you all you need to know about UCB: when things go wrong it doesn't want to know you, as long as it has fitters. My advice again AVOID THIS STORE

We had good service in the store when we chose the product.
We had to delay the fitting by a month due to unforeseen circumstances but the store and the fitter, Derek were so understanding.
The communication was great and they held the carpet for in until we were ready.
The carpet was fitter this morning and Derek has done a brilliant job!

I've been treated appallingly by derek (Wakefield)

Purchased vinyl through pay per week, they use this company to fit, had no issues with pay per week, however this implants fitters are awful! Derek came to fit my vinyl. You are asked to remove what appliences you can, which I did. If you can't remove the appliences they can tuck the vinyl under.

Due to lack of flooring at the back of my dishwasher thanks to my council.

I asked for the vinyl to be tucked under the dishwasher and washing machine, derek refused! He kept moaning about how he doesn't think it'll look nice for other people to see and then claimed he couldn't do it, he could as it's been on done before and the claimed he could only cut around the appliance.

He then said I would HAVE to disconnect and rebook and kept pushing this narrative when I told him multiple times if he won't tuck it, it will only take me two minutes for me to disconnect it and move it as it genuinely would as my dishwasher is a freestanding one.

He then droned on about how I would have to disconnect the pipe and stop the water which I literally pointed out switch I had that stops my water that I had already flipped and just have to turn the nosel on the back of my dishwasher and unplug it and it'll be done. He then kept pressuring me to rebook and have someone disconnect and when I kept saying I could do it now,

he said "well I've already been here 5 minutes" to which I replied "yes because your refusing to tuck it under and keep going on about how people will see it not looking nice and how you've been a fitter or X amount of years, by the time you would have gone to the van to get the vinyl the dishwasher would of been disconnected and moved, but instead you've stood and argued with me about it"

I was extremely upset and close to tears as I was being pressured and quite frankly felt intimidated and when I finally gave in to his wishes to rebook he started to drone on about the same thing again about it looking nice for other people and I just replied with "yeah" while checking my calendar and have holding back tears, I then told him to "just leave" and he then claimed I was blowing it out of proportion! I may have some of this caught on camera as I have a camera in my living room that faces the kitchen.

At this rate they might as well drop me off the vinyl and I'll do it my bloody self.

Called up to complain apparently going to have a word with derek and book me in with someone else, however on the phone they again made the point of emptying the room of appliance or they can tuck which I said I told him to took it under and he refused and only offered to cut around it.

Oh and to top it off when leaving, he stormed out, didn't shut my door, booted something in my garden and slammed my gate open and shut and then left my front gate open.

He wants even here 5 minutes he was here for about 2 mins and by that point of him leaving and constantly being told to not rush it I just said fine go it would of taken me two minutes didn't raise my voice was just fed up after wasting half my day and he became aggressive. And I have this on video

I hope if I ever purchase with the same company they send someone else to fit as I won't use them again after this.

Fast delivery and excellent fitting, professional staff and fitter very pleased with my carpet also very good value

From the first time I entered the shop, right up to needing to go back to swap a floor plate after fitting, the service from all involved as been excellent. The friendly professional manner from all staff tells me this is the place to buy again in future. No pushy hard selling. Just very helpful, knowledgeable advice. The 2 fellas that came to fit our vinyl were also very nice, pleasant chaps too. They took pride in their work.

If I could have scored 0, I would have. We have always purchased from here but no more. They find it acceptable to ring on a Saturday afternoon to say that the carpet I was expecting fitted on the Monday wasn't going to happen. They offered me a lot cheaper option. They said it was stuck with the delivery company but when the manufacturer was phoned they hadn't even sent it and was going to be another few weeks so they lied to our face. The attitude was oh well we will just give you a refund and walked off. Terrible service.
In response to your reply united carpets and beds. If I had wanted to buy a cheaper inferior carpet as that was the only one on offer I would have picked that in the first place

Adam was a really really great guy - good communication and very pleasant - guy in shop ok but not very informative or knowledgable but pleasant. Fitters - had to ask them back for an issue but did come back to be fair and issue was resolved - clean and respectful. Speedy and efficient overall

Do what they say they are going to do and communicate with contractors and customers

It was a very easy transaction and an even faster fitting service. Not sure on the exact date.

Helpful and friendly staff can’t do enough for you very professional. Nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend to anyone.

A big thank you to Adam and the carpet fitters. Excellent service from Adam nothing too much trouble even brought samples to make sure we were happy with colour. We did have a problem but it was dealt with quickly and professionally. Quality carpet and looks great. Very happy. Thank you to all involved. Would recommend and will return in future.

We'd previously been in, found a carpet and Adam came out to measure up. This was a visit to order the carpet and book a day for fitting. We had a few mins wait as another customer was completing their order, but we we're acknowledged and advised he'd be with us as soon as possible. Order taken and payment dealt with quickly. Just waiting for a call to confirm that the carpet is in stock and to agree a fitting time.

Nothing too much trouble “ they even got extra pieces of carpet made up for me for my door way . What can I say fantastic would definitely recommend these guys .
