If I could 0 stars I would. Worst company I have ever dealt with in my life. I think my Gran would be able to get me the stuff I ordered faster with her walker. 2 weeks and then I just cancelled because they still did not send it out. Insightfully terrible company.

After 19 years, stop using now

After 19 years doing business with uk.insight.com, sad to say, find yourself an alternative.

Many orders on behalf of clients and at times myself since 2006. I/ we never returned a single item.

Placed order yesterday, zero updates on account online. They certainly deducted the amount from my bank account.
Had to ring this morning.
Sorry your details in account not correct. They claim they will refund me.

Apparently since 2024 they no longer do business unless you are VAT registered UK business.

Already found alternative and placed order there.

How are these guys still in business?

What an utter waste of space.
We've had an account with Insight for a number of years, and recently after a while of not using them, we needed to purchase 2x QNAP power supplies from them.
Because we had moved recently, our old address was on the system and the system will not allow us to change the address. That was Monday
On Tuesday I thought, I'll phone the order through. I found the number on their website, which stated Opt2 for sales. dialled the number just to be greeted with an automated message that sales enquiries can only be done via their "connect with us" on their website, which is where I got the phone number. The chat would not work either.
I persisted with the phone using any option to get through to a human, who said I had to email my order through... REALLY????
So, I emailed my order through.
On Wednesday morning It appeared on our account "In Progress"
I had not paid so I phoned asking how to pay. I was told that sales are making "some adjustments" to the order and they would contact sales to get them to contact me.
Wednesday later afternoon I got an email would I like to pay for the items?
Obviously I replayed "Yes". to which they replied "Thanks for confirming, moving forward I'll have this coordinated with our financial team"
I heard nothing on Thursday, nothing at all!
Its now Friday afternoon and still not heard anything, so guess what???
I bought it from somewhere else, from Currys Business. From a company that actually wants to sell things and it took a grand total of 3mins to make the purchase.

My recommendation to anyone reading this...
DONT BUY FROM INSIGHT UK

Dissatisfaction....

uk.insight.com took 7 weeks to satisfy an order, and I was left (after several chases and little proactive response) with a licence depleted in validity. Awful service, will not be back!

Terrible

Terrible. Made an order and whilst I passed all the debit/credit card checks including the advanced authentication on a card which we use * all the time * to place orders, 4 days later they send me an email to say "we have been unable verify your details through our confidential order screening security process". What on earth does that mean? Never had that with any other supplier... ever.

They have my contact details, they could have contacted us. We have paid using a card that we use for tons of other things.

I emailed to query this, no reply.

So not only has my order not been shipped, there is a hold on our account for the value (about £700 odd) and nobody is replying.

Terrible service.

Mainly excellent

I used to use these guys way, way back in the late 1990s, when competitors like Dabs Direct and Software Warehouse still existed.

I was a little surprised to see they still existed when printer shopping this week, but they were offering the model I wanted for £300 less than anyone else and said it was in stock, so I ordered it on Saturday, and received it as promised Tuesday morning.

The only blip was inaccurate order tracking, which stated on Monday my order wouldn't be dispatched until Wednesday, but a quick phone call clarified that all was well, so not a big deal.

Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.

Chasing a return for weeks and weeks.
Was told by multiple people that the refund had been processed.
Days pass by... no refund.
So pleased I paid with a credit card- although I would rather they simply just refunded me properly.

I've raised a dispute with my bank.
Hopefully they can do what Insight are seemingly refusing to do.

Edit: I have now been refunded.
No need to chase it up.

Should have heeded other reviews

As an update to the below: I spoke to a customer services representative on their website 'chat bot' who I believe may have been based in America and was extremely helpful and has sorted out all of the issues that I had with incorrect payments being taken. Whilst I would still be extremely wary of using this company again, the customer service I received from 'over the pond' was very good.

I read previous reviews and to my detriment did not heed the advice. Having received a laptop for which I have been incorrectly overcharged, when I checked to see when the keyboard would arrive to go with the laptop I find out that it won't be arriving until September 2025.... another 2 and a half years. Shame I wasn't told this when I ordered it, one would have thought the items would be delivered at least within a week of each other.

I must say that I am more concerned about the money that this company are incorrectly trying to take from my bank account. One payment which has been requested and is listing as 'pending' they cannot even tell me what it is for but told me to wait and see how much was taken from my account over the weekend. This is not a reputable company as this is not the way that a decent. transparent company is run. I have tried contacting their accounts department but to know avail and so have left a message. I shall resume trying on Monday. Until I have reasonable outcome to my concerns I would review this company as untrustworthy. I shall update when these issues have been resolved.

Hi, first of all, please accept my sincere apologies for the poor experience you have recieved. Although the issue now appears resolved, I would still be interested in investigating your order to determine why the keyboard you ordered had a lead time of 2.5 years; which is clearly not correct. I see you have provided your order reference number and I have launched an internal investigation into the overcharging event to prevent such a thing happening again.
If you could possibly supply more information regarding this overcharging such as the original price you saw the laptop advertised at vs what you were charged, this would be most helpful.

Paid for next day delivery, item only expected to arrive in 6 weeks.

Ordered an LG screen. Paid £12.99 for next day delivery. Its now 3 weeks later and no sign of it. The estimated delivery time has now been pushed back a further 3 weeks. No communication from the company about these delays. They did not respond to my email when I inquired about it. And when I phoned them, the woman I spoke with told me that a 3-week delay 'wasn't that bad'.

Order cancelled without telling me after 4 months

I ordered a new PC and waited patiently after being told that there were some delays. After 4 months I called them for a status update. I was told that the order had been cancelled. There was no explanation for this and no signs that they were ever going to tell me. They clearly have shockingly bad business practices. Avoid!

Not terrible - but be careful with returns

I ordered 2 items and they both arrived quickly. No complaints there.

One item I needed to return - which caused an issue.

It was in original condition, and I had only opened the box to verify it was the correct item. And I was well within time frame to arrange return. Consumer Rights Act 2015 states you have 14 days to change your mind on any online purchase, and an additional 14 days to arrange a return (28 days in total)

I contacted Insight after 19 days, and my ticket was immediately closed with the response: ''NO RETURNS BECAUSE YOUVE OPENED THE BOX''

I fought this decision (because I know thats wrong), and in the end the return went perfectly and I received an email confirming money will be in my bank account in next few days.

I find it a bit crazy to say no return possible. What are customers expected to do. Stare at the item and never open it to even see if its correct? I understand they have to consider resale - but this doesnt make too much sense.

Overall I would say Insight are a good company. They supply items quickly and their prices are good. But their returns policy for online orders goes against the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and despite me pointing this out they still said a refund might not be approved (even though it was in the end)

Either way, I would say its OK to order from them but be prepared for an awkward conversation if you need to return an item. Theyre a good company overall though.

Deceitful company and sales practices

Deceitful company and sales practices. They showed an item as being in stock and once i ordered and paid for it, I got an email stating that it wasn't actually in stock and that I'd have to wait a few months until it was in stock. No thanks! Shameful sales tactics pretending to have stock to trick people into having to wait much longer than expected. The refund best be within a few days!

Time wasters at best

Terrible service and dishonest / misleading information from their team.

Ordered a pair of headphones. Called up explaining that I am a reseller myself and can see no stock at any of the UK distributors, so did they physically have stock with them or just taking a feed. I was assured that they definitely had stock. I placed the order shortly afterwards paying extra for next day delivery.

Two working days later and my order hasn't been dispatched and there has been no communication from Insight to explain that the goods were out of stock.

Had to call them at which point they simply said that the items were out of stock, they don't know why they told me they were in stock and it would be 4-6 weeks to get more.

Really poor experience and not for the first time in using them.
