Purchase and Initial Issue
I purchased a Rolex Submariner No-Date watch for £11,750, advertised as brand new and unworn. When it arrived, I noticed a clear ding on the side of the case, along with several scratches.
I contacted Rishika, who offered to have the watch polished if I returned it. I declined, as I had paid for a new, unworn watch and did not feel a polished, damaged item was acceptable. I said I would prefer a refund, at which point she offered to source a replacement. I agreed, returned the damaged watch, and was sent another one once they received it.

Replacement Watch and Strap Problem
The replacement watch arrived with a complimentary bottle of champagne, which I appreciated. However, when I tried the watch on, I noticed that the strap had been adjusted incorrectly. I contacted Rishika again, and she advised me to take it to an authorised dealer.
I removed the Trilogy Jewellers tag before visiting the authorised dealer, as I was concerned they might refuse to adjust it with that tag attached. I took the watch to the dealer boxed and in a secure bag, and they corrected the strap adjustment.

Decision to Return the Watch
After only trying the watch on once, I decided I was still within my 14-day return period and wanted to return it. I messaged Rishika on the Thursday, and she agreed that I could send it back the following day. I posted the watch on Friday 3 July using Saturday delivery, as I was told the matter would be treated as a priority.

Return Delivery and Dispute
I paid £60 for next-day delivery, and the watch was delivered on Saturday at 11:41am. A few hours later, I contacted Rishika for an update. She then said the watchmaker would not be in until Monday.
I questioned why I had been asked to pay for premium Saturday delivery if the watch could not be inspected until Monday. Rishika replied that she would sort it out on Monday and wished me a nice weekend.
I then asked whether she had looked at the watch. She replied that it had been “very heavily used.” This made me extremely frustrated, as I had only tried it on briefly in the car when I first opened it. After the authorised dealer corrected the strap, the watch remained boxed in my wardrobe until I decided to return it.

My Concern
Rishika later sent me photographs of a watch that, in my view, appeared to have been used far more than mine had. I am concerned that they may try to offer me significantly less than the £11,750 I paid and then resell the watch, leaving me at a loss.
The initial sales experience was positive, as it often is before payment is made, but the experience deteriorated badly afterwards. Based on my experience, I would strongly advise others to avoid this company.

• The remaining pictures are of what they claim is my watch, allegedly “heavily used” despite only being tried on once.

Update

The update photos show my watch as it appeared on the evening before I returned it. If this is how they describe a watch after it had only been tried on once, I dread to think how they would describe it after a month of actual wear. I have also noticed that They have added the first watch back onto their website at full price, instead of saying unworn it states brand new.

Trilogy have now issued me with an impartial report of the watch which apprently shows £3050 worth of damage.

I bought the watch on the 15th June for £11750 and 3 weeks later they give me back £8700

Could anyone give me advise as I've contact amex already

I spoke on the phone to the most helpful lady who photographed the watch for me before I bought it. Always a risk buying unseen but delivery was quick, and the watch is perfect. I could have returned if I had not liked it.

Found Trilogy and especially their employee Belle, who introduced herself over their WhatsApp interaction.I sent photos of the watch I was selling and a brief description. Belle, then promptly replied to me, offering two options a) outright purchase b) Entrust Trilogy with the watch, for them to prepare, clean etc and doing it this way didn’t oviously guarantee a sale, but providing you don’t need the money in a hurry, you get rewarded with approx 20% more value. I opted for option b) and the watch sold within a few weeks of it going online and in their Actual home showroom.
I would have no hesitation, in endorsing Trilogy and especially Belle, as I stay over 500 miles from their London showroom and my trust in Belle was rewarded, by a very pleasant, straight forward transaction and she kept me up to speed, on how the proposed sale was progressing and was a credit to their business.
