If you are looking for a top-tier instructor…

If you are looking for a top-tier driving instructor, look no further than Graham car. I had an excellent experience from start to finish, and I can honestly say he is a very good driving instructor who genuinely cares about his students' progress.

What stood out most was how Graham made the entire learning process very understanding and easy. He has a great way of explaining things that takes the pressure off, ensuring you feel comfortable behind the wheel even when tackling difficult Situations as a begginer. , I am so glad I chose Graham to help me get my license. If you want a smooth, stress-free path to passing your test, Graham Carr is the best choice!

Passed first time

I passed the first time after learning with Sandeep. Her patience, kindness, expertise, and genuine desire to help me not only pass but also drive safely for live made the experience fantastic. She kept the lessons at a good pace, helping me build skills and confidence. With her support I came to love driving, despite having been anxious about driving before. I would recommend her as an instructor to anyone.

Passed at first attempt (manual)

I’m really grateful to my driving instructor, James Ellis, for helping me pass my test. He is genuinely not just about the money—he truly cares about making sure you become a safe and confident driver.

He is very patient and polite, which made learning much less stressful, even when I made mistakes. He takes the time to explain things clearly and ensures you understand not just how to pass the test, but how to drive safely for life.

Many times, he went above and beyond by spending more than the two hours I paid for in each lesson without charging anything extra. That level of dedication really shows how committed he is to his students’ success.

Thanks to his guidance and support, I passed my driving test at Wolverhampton test centre, and I couldn’t have asked for a better instructor. I highly recommend James Ellis to anyone looking to learn to drive the right way.

DRIVE review

Adam France has been an excellent driving instructor. He is supportive, encouraging, and always takes time to explain concepts in-depth and answer questions. He quickly adapted to my learning and communication style, and he’s all-around a wonderful person. Would highly recommend above any other instructor!

Did not provide car they advised and now son’s confidence knocked

**UPDATE**. I logged a complaint via their complaints email and within 2 days I received a response. I have been released from the contract and £50 admin fee was refunded. DRIVE will take it up with the instructor about the change of car as they are obligated to update them. I am glad a swift and mutual conclusion was reached

Entered into a contact of 10 hours, and was informed which car my son would be driving with the instructor which is the only reason I agreed to the contract. Instructor texted 30 mins early saying he was here, didn’t pick up from the house and instead my son had to go looking for him on another street and I find later that it wasn’t the car we were told it would be. clearly not local to the area as he kept asking my son where can they go to practice parking etc. An absolutely terrible lesson because of the car which has left my son feeling frustrated and has truly knocked his confidence. I would never have entered into the contract if we didn’t get the car we were told we’d get and if the instructor was not familiar with the area. I feel DRIVE or the instructor should have updated me of any changes to allow us to have a choice as to whether proceed or not with the contract which took away our right to cancel. Very tactical and nota good way to run a business. My Son didn’t really enjoy the instructor either maybe not a good fit. I would personally avoid this company at all costs and keep looking for a local instructor. I still find it strange that he parked on another road, was that to avoid me actually seeing that he is not in the car I was informed he would be. Very deceitful behaviour. Have called, texted and emailed DRIVE but yet no response from anyone. Instructor has texted insisting he will get used to the car but he’s not getting the message, we wouldn’t have accepted the lesson with the car he turned up in, it’s not a car he can get on with which is why I specifically asked what car it was before committing. I wished I had read all the bad reviews on here before contacting this company but you learn and don’t make the same mistake again!

Be careful when dealing with this driving school.

I contacted them to book 10 lessons and was asked to pay £110 upfront to secure my booking. After three days, they assigned me an instructor and provided some dates. I informed them that I was unavailable on those dates, and they later agreed to the schedule I proposed.

However, the instructor called me twice to confirm my availability. I clearly stated Wednesday from 10am to 12pm. On the day of the lesson, he called again at 10am asking for my lesson time, and I repeated the same information. He said he was on his way but didn’t arrive until 10:30am. When I questioned the delay, he became unprofessional and said he could no longer continue lessons with me. His attitude was intimidating and inappropriate.

I reported this to the company, and they said they would assign another instructor, for the 7th of April. By then, I had already lost two weeks. On the agreed date and time (10am–12pm), I waited, but the instructor never showed up.

This was extremely frustrating, as I had arranged and paid for childcare twice for lessons that never took place.

I requested a full refund of my £110. initially claimed the instructor didn’t attend because I had not confirmed the lesson. I explained that I had proof confirming that I did. He then changed his explanation, saying he hadn’t seen the message, and asked for my email to process a refund. He sent £50 and later texted that the remaining £60 would be refunded.

However, two hours later, messaged saying the £60 would no longer be refunded. The reason given was that I allegedly changed the pickup location one hour before the lesson. This is not accurate—the new pickup location was only about a 5-minute drive from my original address. The instructor also claimed he drove an extra 25 minutes, which does not justify refusing the lesson or withholding my money. In addition, he refused to proceed with the lesson after I mentioned he was 30 minutes late.

If a service is not provided, a full refund should be issued. In this case, the instructor refused to carry out the lesson, yet I am still being denied my full refund.

The company only communicates via text, and you cannot call them directly. They respond at their convenience, if at all, which makes resolving issues very difficult.

This experience has been extremely disappointing and unprofessional. I also find it concerning that they encourage customers to leave reviews before any actual service is provided. Based on my experience, some of their positive reviews may not be genuine
I asked for an email address to speak further with their management but they gave me an email address which is wrong. I’ve asked for the correct email address.

Super guidance from Aamir Naseer.

I stared lessons with Aamir Naseer after initially failing my test twice with previous instructors. Aamir ensures all his students do not rush and are calm and sensible drivers, something of which I was extremely impressed by when I started my lessons with him. Using this calming and non rushing approach, in just over 4 months from when I started to my test every skill and road type was covered which resulted in a test pass in April 2026 with just a few minor faults. I would 100% recommend Aamir to any students wanting to learn how to have a safe, sensible and calm driving manner, Thanks Aamir!

My trainer, Deborah Oravevz has been absolutely great. She has accommodated me every step of the journey by being totally flexible, knowledgeable and professional.

I have been impressed by the overall quality and reliability: it exceeded my expectations in every regard.

Customer support has also been responsive and helpful, addressing my questions promptly.

I would highly recommend this to friends and colleagues looking for a dependable driving school.
