Words and handshakes mean nothing.
I own a small Excavation company. Between my father and myself we have purchased 18 pieces of Case equipment. The last 5 (including the most recent) were purchased myself from the same salesman from Marshal MN. My most recent purchase being an excavator that was smaller than our existing machine. I traveled to the dealership to look/test the machine, they have nowhere dig/try out the machine, so my test was simply driving the machine out of the line and swinging to around a couple times. I expressed concerns about the smaller size and the salesman insisted with advancements in technology this machine would outperform our old one and if I wasn't happy "they would make it right" I purchased/paid for the machine on 9/30/2023, I did not receive it until 10/25/2023, I expressed concerns about the machine's capabilities in a couple days and asked to return it within a few days. Titan refused. They offered to take it to a machine shop and have additional steel to the counterweight or purchase a larger machine (which I could not legally haul on my current transport). After some negotiation they agreed to buy it back at a reduced price, I agreed verbally on 1/29/2024, signed a Bill of Sale on 2/13/2023. As of 2/28/2023 I have not received the funds for the buy back, they received the machine on 1/17/2023. I feel this is a poor way to handle a long-term relationship with a company who in their own Core Values and Ethics states "We are dedicated to doing what is right, honest, and ethical without compromise. We Prioritize developing and preserving trust with our partners by consistently following through with what we say we will do and promoting accountability within that." At one point in the negotiation the salesman stated "Well, we aren't going to give back your money so you can go buy a machine from someone else". Titan, I'm sorry to say you have lost a long-term customer.
