Tinknells sold contaminated fuel to my mum. It clogged up an aga which had to be serviced and cleaned multiple times. A new fuel tank had been purchased before but the fuel was a strange colour. Tinknells then cleaned the tank. They tried to charge £360 to clean the tank they contaminated. Dirty fuel from a dirty company!!

Ordered via Boilerjuice - they claimed drive was too narrow and cancelled leaving a £40 cancellation fee in their wake. Had the driver bothered to call (as requested) or knock on the door I could have shown him the perfectly clear route where indeed my usual oil supplier effortlessly delivered the very next day. Never again.

Oil ordered via Boilerjuice 28/02/26 for delivery by 13/03/26 - £515 for 800 litres. Tried to check delivery status on 09/03/26 and after many phone calls with both Boilerjuice and Tinknell Fuels I was told my order had been cancelled and monies refunded. On three of those calls Ticknell Fuels attempted to deny all knowledge of the order but did eventually admit to having it but then cancelling. They claimed supplier and price issues but are strangely happy to quote on a new order at over twice the original price. Boilerjuice say my contract is with Tinknell Fuels but Tinknell Fuels deny this and say my contract is with Boilerjuice. If Tinknell fuels had been honest with me from the start I may have been more sympathetic to their situation, but their attempts to mislead about ever having my order have left a very sour taste.
Update 16/03/26 - After an email from Tinknell's director, who attempted to point me at the wrong terms and conditions (Tinknell's not Boilerjuice's) they finally agreed to supply at the original price and I now have my oil. A good outcome but very disappointing that it took a lot of pushing from me to get there.

The service was outstanding. I reached out when I ran out of oil during freezing weather. They delivered swiftly, which was a blessing since my young daughter was quite ill and couldn't stay warm without heating. I can't recommend them enough—consistently excellent, friendly service from a dependable team. Many thanks!

These people took my money but would not deliver any fuel to me. They didn't even try but claimed that the lane to our house is too small for their lorries. As a matter of fact it is not too small as every other company in the area is able to get even larger lorries down the lane. My caravan is larger than their lorry and I drive it up and down very easily! If they'd given me a full refund it wouldn't have been so bad but so far no refund. I would recommend not using these people.

Main team of two plus trainee were a pleasure to have in our home. Small details show - pipework neatest seen - before lagging. Always took shoes off before entering. Restored brickwork round flue brilliantly with an original species of reconstituted stone found in garden. Updated electrical bits and pieces associated with immersion cupboard (alternative coy did not even mention). Flushed and balanced system - not mentioned by competition.
Made gift of flowers. Recommended without reservation.

Useless - charging £40 when I did not get a call 1/2 an hour before delivery - never use again - watch out for these robbers peeps !!!

After our first delivery in 1975, we must be one of your longest dare I say oldest customers.Not the easiest place to deliver, your drivers have been marvellous. Never let us down what ever the weather. The Staff in the office likewise. Account 1605003

Absolutely dreadful firm with appalling customer service. Have been ordering oil with standard tanker for 14 years from other firms no problem. Tinknells driver aborted delivery and charged me £40 fee - saying a manhole cover looked weak. Spoke to Nick Locklear, manager of Avonmouth Depot and he could not care less - was rude and arrogant. Never ever use again and they lost Boiler juice a customer of many years standing.

Dreadful, dreadful company. Avoid. British Gas and local sole traders are less expensive and in our opinion, much more thorough and honest.

Had a bad experience with an online boiler company so decided to go where we should have gone first... to Tinknells. Everything was very professional from a fair quote to correspondence throughout & the guys that installed the boiler were very friendly & polite. Good honest company who I would highly recommend. Thanks Tinknells.
