This DIY Hardware shop has everything I’ve ever needed with regards to doing stuff around the house.
Whether it’s cleaning or repairs.
The staff are all knowledgeable about the stuff they sell and are happy to answer any questions you have and give advice.
I bought a shower hose today for my electric shower and it’s perfect.
I’d actually gone in before today to buy one, but they said was better to bring old one or measure before just buying as length due to gravity feed etc.
They were right and it’s perfect.
Highly recommend this place if you need advice on something you may need around house for diy or repairs .

I ordered 2x car ramps from the website, no big deal really, anyway when they turned up the couriers had damaged one. I then contacted Jon at Thompsons and after a couple of pictures explaining my plight a replacement ramp was dispatched.
You might think this is a pretty boring review but i think the way the Thompsons team took on an issue which actually wasn't their problem is mighty impressive.
Good quality products at cheapest on the internet prices backed by an excellent business team, i don't think you can go wrong.

Called in there today and met a very helpful chat had loads of knowledge fantastic advice and help got me what I wanted these guys a far and few to fin nowadays well done and thanks for your kind help.

I have used this company on several occasions there service is beyond compare, Dan, John and Emma are always extremely helpful and professional, in this day and age they stand out with their level of service, assistance and advice. Also their range of products and prices are very very competitive.

Been in a few times recently and they've been fantastic.
Needed a battery for my motor and they helped out massively. With my car and with my van. Reasonably priced aswell. Good banter in there aswell. Will use again

An easy to use web site. Not the lowest prices, but a good range of products. The delivery of my 5L Evaporust order was prompt, via DPD, and very well packaged.

Paid extra for next day delivery and the item arrived 4 days later , I emailed stating this and received an email “ it’s on its way “ why charge customers a premium for addition services when you can’t provide them , had I received an email explaining there wasn’t a delay I wouldn’t have complained but when I sent the 2nd email there was simply no reply non existent customer service

Ordered aircon topup aircon cool but not cold followed instructions did not improve emailed Thompsons about gauge and pipe fitting ignored me read on utube (Disaster aircon topup) very similar experience, tried again with another can now up to £110 pounds aircon stopped altogether now, local garage did regas everything great now garage charge £110 pounds. Should have gone there first Thompsons never answered my email didn't want to know.

I was clearly sent a second-hand product. Repackaged and scratched

Ordered an in-cab height indicator, clicked the 'buy now' without checking thoroughly. I am sorry, but for a small item costing £9.16, and be charged £8.95 shipping within the UK is frankly shocking. A lot of other suppliers offer free delivery. Will not be using again.

Fantastic company, great prices and fast tracked delivery. Very helpful when I first started doing my own aircon. Highly recommended!

In my desperation to replace a faulty audio piece of equipment l came across this company.
My initial telephone call was handled professionally and expeditiously. The lady at the end of the line, “Emma” was extremely knowledgeable and if she didn’t have the answer she would find out and promptly called me back. I am now in possession of my brand new Amp and sooner than l expected. A very well done 👍🏽 guys!!

I ordered car amplifier from there ,it was cheaper then everywhere i was compared to.bought speakers also, Great customer service plus excellent delivery indeed, Great products i bought to be honest ,there was lady from customer service who rung me straight away to help me with orders ,thums up ,well done ,strongly recommend in my opinion , I would definitely use in future Thomsons uk again

Waited a week for Microphone to arrive to find was not even compatible with steam. Also waiting to reply to my message until day it arrives is also as useless as my purchase.

Had a bad experience with Amazon selling me a dud air con regassing hose which was an Amazon product, nothing to do with Thompson’s. I’d also bought a can of leak stopper from Thompson’s which didn’t make it into my air con due to the faulty Amazon product. Amazon basically didn’t give a stuff, but Dan and John at Thompson’s were great and sorted the problem which wasn’t actually their problem to solve, big thanks to them I now have functioning air con. Moral of the story is if you want great service, go to Thompson’s in Macclesfield and give Amazon a miss.

Things don’t always go to plan. On this occasion, the “Ring” electric tyre pump I ordered from Thompsons last June did not work. I didn’t try the unit until October.

From start to finish the exchange process with Thompsons was totally stress-free. I explained the problem- a replacement was sent-including a pre-paid returns label for the faulty item. All completed in less than a week, no hassle.
From the first welcoming phone call to returning the faulty item it was a genuinely refreshingly easy process. The customer support agent Jon who managed my problem did just that, he managed it professionally and efficiently. I felt like a valued customer, - it’s not very often that you feel that way !!!
I spent my working life in procurement, and for me, it was a test of a good supplier on how they managed problems.
In my opinion Thompsons, and their staff delivered top service from the original purchase to the exchange of faulty goods. . I will happily order from them again and recommend them.
