Mera Peak Trek – October 2025
Our Mera Peak adventure with Third Rock Adventures was truly unforgettable. From the very first contact to the final farewell at the airport, everything was perfectly organized. Naba and his team managed every detail seamlessly—transfers, accommodation, domestic flights, and every stage of the trek—allowing us to fully enjoy the experience without any stress.

Our main guide, Lakpa Dorjee Sherpa, was exceptional—professional, experienced, and deeply knowledgeable about both the mountains and Sherpa culture. His calm leadership and expertise made us feel safe and inspired throughout the journey.

The trek itself was breathtaking—from lush forests and traditional villages to the high-altitude beauty of Khare, High Camp, and finally the summit of Mera Peak. The lodges were comfortable, the food varied and tasty, and the support team of porters went above and beyond every single day.

We couldn’t be happier with Third Rock Adventures. Their professionalism, attention to detail, and outstanding team of guides make them a truly exceptional company. We highly recommend them to anyone seeking an authentic and unforgettable Himalayan adventure.

Amazing experience from planning to the finish. They became extended family. Always had a solution to everything and with a smile. We knew by the hour where we were at and how we were doing. Could not fault them. If in trouble they had a way to to eliminate any worry or stress . Really made a great connection and the whole family felt at ease.

It was a wonderful trekking tour to Langtang. The Langtang area is very beautiful wich incredible sights on the Himalaya mountains like the Langtang Lirung. In advance I had a very good and flexible proposal to fulfill my wishes. And the planning was perfect. Our very kind guide Krishna brought us with great patience up to Kyanjin Gompa. He informed us about the nature, religion, the living in Nepal and answered every question we had. He cared for us every second on the tour in a friendly and polite manner.
Ganesh, our porter, who was also very kindly, considerate and friendly, carried our duffle bags up the hill. I can‘t belueve how strength he is. His step never failed - going uphill or downhill- on rocks or on muddy ground. So with this two guys in this wonderful Himalayan region it was a great and unforgetable experience. We are sad that we split up. Thank you very much!!

We recently completed the Annapurna Base Camp Trek with Third Rock Adventures, and it was one of the best travel experiences we’ve ever had. From start to finish, everything was organized perfectly. The owner of the company, Naba, answered all of our questions with patience and customized the trip to fit our needs. Our guide, Iswor, was knowledgeable, friendly, and always attentive, while our porters Bishnu and Kunjan were incredibly supportive throughout the trek. Even when the weather forced us to adjust our plans, the team insured our comfort and safety, ending the trip with a wonderful spa stay in Pokhara. We were so impressed by the professionalism, personal care, and flexibility of the entire team. Third Rock Adventures truly goes above and beyond – highly recommend!

We went on a 6 day trek in the Helambu region. We felt in safe hands with Third Rock Adventures. Naba met with us on Whatsapp before we even booked the trip to make sure that we had the right match. After booking, Naba was always available to answer any questions we had. Communication was excellent.
Our trek was perfectly suited for what we wanted. It was too demanding, yet we were challenged. We had the chance to get an insight into daily life in the small mountain villages, and we experienced some stunning landscapes. Our guide, Deepak, was positive, outgoing and genuinely interested in getting to know us, He had a great sense of humour as well as a winning personality. We always felt in safe hands with him. Our porter, Bishnu, was incredibly fast and tireless, which helped our own motivation when we struggled. They were an awesome team!
When we came back to Kathmandu, Naba met with us to make sure that the trip lived up to our expectations. It sure did!
If we ever go back to Nepal, we will definitely book with Third Rock!

It's not the first time I've traveled with Third Rock Adventures, and it certainly won't be the last. We had planned a small trek from Kimche to Muldai Viewpoint and on via Gorapani to Poon Hill. Due to illness, we didn't make it all, but we still had a fantastic trek superbly guided by Bimal Thapa. The trip was flexibly adapted so that we still got to experience and saw what we were supposed to.

With Third Rock Adventures you feel like a friend and like the only customer that matters. You are greeted warmly and professionally and look forward to coming again. And we do. Maybe not in 2023, but perhaps in 2924. Thank you, Bimal, and thank you Naba.

Bhutan is a place where happiness is given priority. Tradition and culture aren’t simply followed but celebrated. Nature remains un-spoilt and isn’t overcrowded with tourist. In today’s time, when being busy is in trend and social media shows ‘how happening is your life?’. You see these people happy in small things of life; people, culture, and nature really impacted me. The cultural heritages of Nepal are fascinating and their craftsmanship is amazing.Overall an awesome experience.

I had an amazing trip to Bhutan, thanks to the excellent planning and suggestions from the team at Third Rock Adventures. I had an excellent guide and a good driver, both were friendly, professional and fun to be with. The road trip was fascinating. The hikes were wonderful and the visits to dzongs and monasteries insightful. The drive to Haa Valley was beautiful. I thoroughly enjoyed my homestay with a Kenzung’s family at their farmhouse. Though the food they prepared for me was a bit spicy, it was a novel experience tasting Bhutanese cuisine for the first time. Thanks to the team for this wonderful experience. Can’t wait to return to this country again.

I trekked to Everest Base Camp with the guys from Third Rock Adventures and I must say their service is excellent. I wanted a few changes in the itinerary and they made it while offering some wonderful suggestions of their own. They were prompt with their replies and patient enough to recreate the itinerary (thrice) as per my requirements. The guide was knowledgeable, smart and pleasant. While trekking, he made sure that I was comfortable with the pace and the lodgings at teahouses where we stopped for the night. I had assumed that it would be a tough climb, but maybe because of the easy pace or maybe I really listened to the guide’s advice, I was able to reach EBC without getting sick even once. It was a humbling experience to stand beneath some of the world’s highest peaks. This trek in the Himalayas was just right for me. It was refreshing and changed my life in a positive way. Would recommend this trek and company to anyone planning a Nepal visit!
