Visited the Welsh house in Penclawdd .
Several items were off the menu even though the place was relatively empty.
We ordered 2 cockle starters ,one arrived after about twenty minutes and the other arrived with the main course.
Four of us ordered ploughman’s lunch , we waited almost an hour and on arrival we all promptly sent them back .
Three triangle cuts of burger cheese,a handful of wilted rocket, coleslaw which was beginning to separate, two small slices of ham ,a slice of bread cut into four triangles which took centre stage on the plate with a dollop of piccalilli on the side.
Absolutely disgraceful and without doubt the worse ploughman’s I have ever had.
The waitress serving us was so apologetic ,bless her, however the chef would not come out to discuss how he thought we would accept a meal with half the contents missing.
We were offered an alternative and chose burgers, big mistake!!
I opened mine to find rotten lettuce on top of the burger.Again the waitress was so embarrassed and apologetic and informed me she would remove it from the bill.
The general manager attended and was very diplomatic and apologetic, he offered our party a 60% discount on meals and drinks which we accepted.
Unfortunately I will never eat at this restaurant in future which is sad as I have had good food there previously.
