Amazing customer service
Amazing customer service, item came damaged which was out of their control but was quickly resolved. Would highly recommend them and the terrarium was of a high Quality.

Second time lucky!
First delivery was out of hours but the second delivery succeeded. The plants in a bottle are beautiful and visitors to the recipient comment on how lovely they are.

Excellent Service
I was kept informed of when my order would arrive and it was delivered very promptly.
Everything was very well packed (i.e. nothing damaged) and the order was delivered with contents kept cold.

DO NOT USE CHRISTMAS DELIVERY SERVICE
I ordered a DIY terrarium from theurbanbotanist for my wife, for Christmas. It was a present from her children.
As it was a Christmas present with living plants, I selected the special Christmas Delivery option to ensure it arrived in time for Christmas but not so early all the plants would die!
I ordered in plenty of time (over a month ahead) with delivery to be completed by DPD.
Unfortunately, during the delivery process, DPD must have had a problem. I first got a message saying it had been delivered to the wrong address, then another saying it was returning to DPD depot... hours on the phone and chat resolved nothing - I suspect it got dropped and broken, well - accidents happen, I can live with that.
However, DPD told me the only was I could resolve this before Christmas was for The Urban Botanist to contact them.
I contacted The Urban Botanist and what did I get? An automated out of office reply!

Now - everyone is entitled to some time off over the holidays but if you are going to offer a special christmas delivery then you have to make sure somebody is available to sort out any issues which arrive over that period, otherwise you cant call it a special christmas service.
The subsequent engagement from Botanist when they eventually returned to work on 3rd Jan was less than impressive. Refusing to send a replacement until investigation with DPD was complete and in fact not sending a replacement until DPD had actually returned the item to them!
The upshot was my son and daughter had no gift for their mum on Christmas Day. No material care from Botanist.
Highly suggest you can do this yourself instead of using these jokers. Buy a vase and a cork lid, add 1-2cm clay stones for drainage, add 1-2cm compost, add sprinkle of charcoal, add another 1-2cm compost, add 3 small plants and you're away.

To clarify, your parcel was initially dispatched on the 17th of December, in line with our delivery commitments. However, the subsequent changes to the delivery date were made by you. The first change was to the 22nd, and then there was a second change to the 23rd. Unfortunately, these alterations led to the parcel being returned to us.
While we recognize the importance of customer support during the holiday season, especially for our Christmas delivery service, our team also needed a well-deserved break after a busy period. We aim to offer the best service possible, and we regret any inconvenience our holiday closure may have caused.
As per our policy, replacements are dispatched once we receive the original parcel back or have confirmation from the courier that it's being returned. In your case, we expedited a new parcel as soon as we could, ensuring its delivery to you the following Saturday.
We appreciate your feedback as it helps us understand the challenges our customers may face, especially during busy periods like the holidays. While in this instance the delivery issues were beyond our control, we always strive to ensure a positive experience for our customers. Great quality healthy plants
Really prompt dispatch and delivery. The plants were well protected without using excess packaging. All the plants were in super good condition and when I went to use them in my terrariums I could see they had good well established root systems in their small pots and clearly had not just been repotted prior to packing. Would use again!

I recently got a terrarium to send it as gift to my daughter, and everything went smooth. Fast shipping, super friendly support. Just one hiccup: the terrarium seemed a bit dried out. But they sorted it out with a free extra terrarium, so in the end, all good. Overall rating: top-notch!
