The gym is very spacious and the cleanliness of the gym has improved significantly with antibacterial wipes now being available . However, I think it’s very important that the women’s toilets are cleaned regularly especially the sanitary bins . These bins are not being emptied regularly and are constantly overflowing which is extremely unhygienic for everyone. So please can this be sorted out .

Great Equipment, Good environment

The gym itself is very good, however some the members are bullies and use intimidation this happen early morning, it ended with a group of guys staring to create intimidation, It just made me uncomfortable, therefore ladies I cannot recommend this gym. Main thing is too keep safe. Hopefully me reporting these incidents will help others. For the gym itself I will give 4 stars.

I used to love going to the gym (London Catford) I only really go to the classes, because they keep me motivated and i enjoy working out with other people. Unfortunately, they are few and far between. Sometimes cancelled without notice, this week w/c 28/4 there's only one class on Wednesday at 2.30pm.
I'm seriously just thinking of cancelling my membership.

Well equipped gym with friendly staff and regulars - I’ve been training with the brilliant PT Katy Treble, which has really helped me gain confidence and strength post childbirth. Would recommend!

The old manager Carl took money from my son and created a fake gym membership. He has not got his money back and the gym group have not responded to many complaints about this. Don’t trust them!

Gym has drastically gotten worse in the last year.

I've been going to this gym for years and usually speak highly of it. But in the last year I've been tempted to go elsewhere.

There has been a lack of solid management. Since Marie left it's been nowhere near as good. Classes get cancelled. Some of the trainers (not all) will cancel the entire class if they don't like that 3 people turned up. Those 3 people are then demotivated and disappointed. And less likely to have a good workout. Some people work better with classes and I've seen them leave Disheartened.

Very passive aggressive /aggressive home made signs have been put up threatening canceling memberships for specific things. While some of the signs make fair points they are phrased terribly and I doubt approved by the gym group's Comms team.

Smashed glass doors. Blocked toilets. No more wipes to clean up after yourself. With only one title upstairs it's a bit inconvenient to reach tissues easily now they took away the blue roll and sprays.

A few broken pieces of equipment or pieces that need tinkering with or replacing.

Several other gym goers have mentioned the recent (year long) downfall. Most of the staff are great. But the classes should be honoured.

I've been a member at the London Catford location for 2.5 years and disappointingly over the past 6 months the gym has gone from excellent to requires major improvement. The Gym is rarely staffed these days and when they are on duty, the two "managers" are locked inside the office playing on their phones. Many of the machines have been out of use for months with no sign of a repair. Smashed panes of glass greet you as you arrive and they've been like this for months. Resistance and cardio machines are a health hazard with cleaning non existent though the gym floor is acceptable. Toilets and changing rooms stink and the mens loos are often broken. Please return this otherwise wonderful facility to its former glory with new and competent local management assp.

I’ve been paying for the Yanga water since i joined ‘The gym’ and every occasion i go there the Yanga machine is not working.i speak to staff and they say they can’t do anything about it and that i should contact someone from ‘the gym’ online as i’m literally paying for nothing.
I’ve emailed and sent messages for weeks and weeks now and No reply.
The correspondence is terrible and disappointing.

The Catford gym now only runs a hand full of classes, none before 10am and a handful (5 in the next 7 days) after what would be working hours, at 18:30. Currently over the weekend there is one single class offered on Sat and a single class offered on Sun. Loads of empty spaces at the classes too, there didn’t used to be so please run a better offering of classes, replace Hyrox if people aren’t interested.

The Gym Group advertise that at your gym you will have access to “tons” of classes. Catford should be offering a discount on their membership until they can bring the class offering up, that includes pre work times (7am start at the latest) and at least 2 classes an evening after work hours. I’d expect 4 classes minimum offered each weekend day.

Wouldn't even give 1 star! I am still waiting for any response from Gym group!! Do not give them your money - they have zero customer service! The reply to my previous review said to email them and lo and behold still nothing!!!

the gym in carford is good but I miss some basic equipment.. for example chest press I have shoulder problems and I can't do free exercises like bench press etc, and there is space for more equipment, I will have to go back to NRG in Lewisham as it is more complete in equipment I hope one day they add more different equipment so I can go back to the gym

I joined the "Ladies who do Weights" class today with Chris which, I found extremely useful! Chris is an excellent trainer who was very patient and gave a very personalised session. I highly recommend this class and will definitely join again.

Lucky this gym gets the one star. My 16yr old daughter and her friends attended the Catford branch only to turn up after 2 visits to be told their gym membership had been terminated due my daughters friend having trouble with her code when leaving the evening before so they shared a pod to exit . Rather than be told not to do this they were approached and told they can not use the gym . The employee then went on and swore at my daughter’s friend . They do not have a phone at the gym to speak to anyone and I was informed to instagram message them which to no avail as no one as replied . I called the finance dept to get a refund only to be told I’m not entitled to a full refund as they had used the gym twice . I would stay well clear, if they think it’s ok to swear at 3 young girls and terminate without a warning .

Lovely gym. Active personal trainers on the floor for assistance but also to help maintain the gym. Great gym community. Staff saw that cable ropes were popular so they ordered more. Points of improvement: please fix the broken glass on the gym door. Thanks!
