An update on my experience after receiving the back and using the retail outlet
Ordered the bike on the 23rd of April 2026 as it was showing in stock for shipping between the 28th and 30th of April and showing in stock on the website. Email received on the 25th of April to say the order was being processed and would now be delivered between the 29th of April and the 1st of May. Have contacted the online chat twice since to be told that these dates are not accurate and that the bike is due to them “any day” now. Not the level of service you expect when spending £1400 on a bike and certainly not the experience I was expecting.
Still to date, no idea when I will receive the bike.
I have an update on using The Electric Bike Shop.
I was unfortunate enough to have an accident on the supplied bike and had to take this to the Nottingham Store on the 12th of June 2026. Was told by a very pleasant chap that the new forks needed are usually on a 3-4 months lead time but he had managed to get a pair ordered and these would be delivered into them on Wednesday the 17th.
Fast forward to the Wednesday and I rang the store to see if these had arrived. The person answering the phone explained that they were very busy and could be tell me if these had arrived. Fair enough I thought, I will ring tomorrow as they seemed really busy and they were very polite to me on the call. I rang the next day to be told the same thing, no forks and they are busy but someone would most certainly ring me back on the following day (Friday) to let me know when the parts would be here and when my bike will be ready.
Nobody has the courtesy to call me back so I decided to use the WhatsApp customer service chat to see if they could illicit a response on my behalf.
This was on Saturday the 20th and they assured me the shop would contact me and keep me advised. It is now Wednesday and I am still none the wiser when the parts are arriving or even when I am getting my bike back.
I can handle the period of time I will have to wait it is the discourtesy of not advising me that I find very annoying.

Our Customer Service team investigated the order, contacted you directly with an update, and provided a revised timeline for delivery. We also worked with our warehouse team to ensure the bike progressed through the final preparation stages as quickly as possible prior to dispatch.
I appreciate that the communication and original estimated dates did not meet expectations, particularly for such an important purchase, and I’m sorry for the disappointment this caused.
Tracking details will be provided once the bike has been collected by the courier.

Great service
Although the wrong bike was dispatched the error was quickly corrected . I contacted by phone and within 24hours the wrong was collected and the correct one delivered. Great service.

So old (!) I needed assistance to keep on the road for a few more years. After research and budget considerations, I opted for Tenways cgo800s which Tenways say is for commuter + gravel use (as per youtube videos). Carbon belt drive, no chain etc. Good spec and very reasonably priced. Slight issue with chafing front brake disc, bit like a hearing test for us, mudguard? brake disc?? Revisited shop and sorted quickly. Great customer service and very polite and helpful staff. On the road again. Many thanks to all at the Electric Bike Shop Nottingham.

Fantastic customer service
I would highly recomend buying your bike from The Electric Bike Shop, I purchaced a really good quality bike at an excellent price, unfortunatly it was damaged during delivery. The customer service department could not have been more helpful sourcing and suplying us with replacement parts which we were able to fit easily.

Absolutely pathetic service!!!
Absolutely pathetic service!!!! Avoid these at any cost!!!
Bought a pair of pedals, and receiced wrong model.
Contacted them through email and explained situation.
Jack Foley - Replied to me: "I do apologise for this, the information I have here is clearly wrong. If you could please let me know the dimensions of the package, I can issue a returns label. This will allow it to be dropped off at a local courier point at your discretion."
One mont later Issue still not resolved, chased them several times with no luck and no response from them!!
