Ok . I know its a motorway prices but used at least be good food here. 10.85 for a stale bacon role with no butter overdone dry bacon and a cold coffee. Wft

If I could give the restaurant zero, I would. In the last 6 days we have breakfasted at Tebay Southbound, lunched at Gloucestershire Southbound, breakfasted at Gloucestershire Northbound and lunched at Tebay Northbound, all owned by the same company. The lunches in particular were as awful as the worst service station food we have eaten anywhere. It’s been a long slow fall from grace, as all these places used to be good. Next time we’ll be leaving the motorway in favour of small local cafes or bistros, offering quality at a fair price. I hope others will do the same and stop lining the pockets of a company whose only interest seems now to be making as much money as possible under a false promise of quality and uniqueness. The shop has a great selection of goods but they are largely overpriced with little stock rotation. Same old same old.

What used to be a lovely place to visit with plenty of choice for food ect has now turned into an awful llace to visit.
Prices SKY HIGH. £5.40 for a MEDIUM coffee. The " improvement" has NOT been worth it. Very disappointed. Such a shame. Turn it back to how it used to be and you'll find more people would want to keep coming. Your going to loose a LOT of custom.

Disgraceful! Stopped in what we thought was a dog friendly services to find nowhere to sit at all (3 small tables by the toilets….not all being used by dog owners). We left quickly as we weren’t allowed to eat in the restaurant. Won’t be returning. Hopefully the closure will allow them time to reflect!

Toilet stink as you walk in. Also I had a steak and Ale pie and they are not like they use to be not much steak in the pie. Up your game pie shop or you will loose customers

Stopped to have a nice roast dinner but the veg and potatoes were cool and most of the beef was to fatty…don’t bother it’s not worth £14.99.

Used to love Tebay but the southbound services awful. We had to clean our own table!! food a huge let down& certainly no child friendly food. No choice to suit children. Food barely warm . Chaos reigned as we tried to get our food! Big disappointment!

Called in at Tebay Services (North) this am 9am for brekkie. What a let down!!! This used to be really good. We had 2 slices of toast, which were stone cold even though I asked the girl if it had been made long! We waited a good 5 minutes for 2 cups of tea. 3 girls behind the counter and still had to queue. Ive used these services for over 10 years on my trips to Scotland but will certainly not be using again. Overpriced for what you get. Such a shame as it used to stand out from all the rest of the service stations on the M6……not anymore!

I’ve been going to Tebay now for 20 years and promoted to everyone I know how wonderful it is, not anymore! For the first time ever I’m sad to say in the last year it has deteriorated beyond recognition. It’s in desperate need for some TLC the restaurant breakfast was inedible but I couldn’t be bothered to complain. Toilets weren’t clean either. The only plus side is the farm shop although expensive, great quality.

I have always been a fan of Tebay but on Thursday 11th December (around 10.30) we called in for breakfast. Went to the cutlery box for knife and fork and the knife was caked in the last users egg. When I went back for another I examined the box more carefully. It was disgusting with most of the cutlery clearly dirty. To top it off the breakfast was cold.

Coffee - expensive and undrinkable.

Please read my Google Review Tebay Services ref: Changing Places if you need a Hoist .. the hoist is in a Tin Box Behind the Petrol Filling Station .. so if your in a Wheelchair Don't Unload at the Services .. drive around to the Exit and its located on the Way Out .. please be aware as there is NO easily accessible weatherproof direct wheelchair access from the Services itself !!!

I’ve always called at tebay. At one point it really used to live up to the hype. But as of late its seems to have gone downhill. It simply isn’t big enough to cope with the footfall. It’s usually akin to a football crowd. There’s far too many people and it becomes impossible to move around in any comfort the attitude of the management seems to be get as many people in as quick as possible serve them overpriced Luke warm food and get them turned round and on there way and get the next lot in. However what really put me off. Travelling from Manchester to Scotland this morning and thought. It should be quiet enough to get a hot breakfast and a toilet stop. Arrived at 6.45am. There was about 20 cars in the carpark. A crowd of people at the entrance door. The place doesn’t open till 7. And the cafe/ restaurant doesn’t open till 7.30. It’s a motorway service station. By 5 past 7 there was still no sign of life. The doors still locked. All of the cars including myself drove off and probably headed for the next service up the motorway. A service station that isn’t open at 7 in the morning. Think that’s done it for me. Won’t be calling again.

Dirty and disgusting. Northbound service point is the dirtiest, most disgusting service station I have ever been in. The disabled toilets should be closed as they are so so filthy and the gents toilets are equally filthy. Show that on TV. The whole place needs to be refurbished or closed and health and safety really needs to pay a visit.

Always stopped at Tebay and rated it 5 stars in the past. Unfortunately it has serious declined. At the start of lunch time food appeared stale and unappetising. Choice was limited. Lasagne was all pasta & cheese with little filling. Cappuccino was more hot milk that coffee flavour. Toilets were not clean and table needed to be wiped. Most of all the attitude of staff serving was really off putting, I nearly walked out. I was polite and smiley but 3 staff were grumpy and unhelpful, they did not portray a happy customer focussed workforce. Will not be coming again!

We always used to stop here with our dog, but visited today on our travels and they have changed the dog policy! Only outside seating with your dog! It was freezing today! Not sure why they can’t put aside a dog friendly seating area like most places, Backwards attitude in my opinion when so many places are now dog friendly, we will definitely go elsewhere which is a shame

No longer Dog friendly therefore no longer worth the higher prices and queues.
You cannot even buy food to take outside or takeaway unless you leave your dog in the car.
We left with zero purchases and wont be returning.

We were travelling north, and as previously, we really looked forward to a prolonged stop at Tebay. The weather was awful, so we took our dog on their well signposted dog walk, and came back to hopefully a lovely lunch and rest. We were gobsmacked to see a sign saying dogs were only welcome in the foyer, and nowhere in the seating areas. I asked a member of staff, who was very dismissive, verging on rude. The nett result was we grabbed a quick takeaway coffee, left in disgust, and spent our money elsewhere where we felt welcome. We can only hope Gloucester services have not gone the same way. AVOID IF YOU HAVE A DOG!

Awful! Breakfast items were thrown on top of each other by a vacant staff member. Tiny portion for £14! Shame on you Tebay. You were the flagship of what could have been. You need to up your game and listen to your customers who will be driving past if you don’t improve every aspect of your current offering.

Sad times, this was my favourite services, first time visiting since refurbishment, and really disappointed. The food selection is not good and food is only ok but not hot, and each section is separate so tough for a family to get different things and all pay together. Seems dirty and not as well organised. Disappointing visit.
