Initially I wrote the review below and I think that Tactics still needs to modify their fraud protection policy to prevent this type of unfortunate situation but they went above and beyond to makeup for it after management recognized the screw up. Every company is going to make mistakes but it is what they do to fix them that counts and they fixed this problem for us!
I can't believe what this company did to my boyfriend, he is so, so upset but he's hoping they will fix it so he doesn't want to leave a bad review. I believe in telling it as it is real time and updating reviews based on their actions to help resolve a bad situation. It's virtually the same exact experience as the last person who left a review. My boyfriend gave his brand new goggles to his friend that I bought for him because his friend was going on a big backcountry trip. His friend, while with us, placed an order on Tactics to replace the same goggles, to be shipped directly to my boyfriend. They both received confirmations of the order. Weeks later, still no goggles had arrived so my boyfriend called to track them down. The agent said they had cancelled the order because it looked suspicious. Why did it look suspicious?? Because the shipping address and the billing address were different. Like this is no a common occurrence around the holidays. Genius detective work here!! The best part is there is not a single email from them (after the order confirmation email) that indicates any problem or concern. The agent was very dismissive and said that's always their policy. Really??? Then why would you take the order if the addresses differed? The agent said they tried to call his friend but his friend said he received no such call. The agent offered no suggestions for a solution except to start from scratch and place another order, not even willing to expedite shipping if he did. Now my boyfriend is leaving for his annual backcountry trip and he's got nothing but his 5 year old busted up Oakley goggles to take with him. He wrote a letter to management hoping they would help in out in some way but I'm confident that email will just go unanswered. My guess is that the emails go right to the agents that handle these issues so poorly. We are both ski pros and I personally going to recommend that none of my colleagues shop here and would suggest the same for anyone reading this. I will gladly update this review if anything changes but I'm confident that won't be happening.
Really f#ck$ng stupid shop
Really f#ck$ng stupid shop. I wanted to buy splitboard bindings. I made an order & received confirmation of it. BUT they didn't charge money from card. I thought: "Ok, let's wait".
3 weeks passed - nothing happened. I wrote to a support and they told me that my order was suspicious so they canceled it. I asked why they didn't even send a notification I received this answer: " Unfortunately when our fraud prevention team cancels an order within our system there is no notification." What the hell? How I should know about that if you don't even tell me that something was wrong?
Now I can't buy these bindings coz they are out of stock. Thank you f#ck#ng tactics.
