Customer service only till they have your money
I’ve had zero customer service from them beyond taking my cash and handing me the car. I live over 100 miles from the Nottingham branch, and it shows in how they’ve treated me.
On my first visit, I asked for a price reduction to take the car as is, so I wouldn’t have to make a second trip. They refused, promised to repair the bodywork properly, and agreed to cover my return train fare. When I came back, they’d simply T cut a few patches and left the stone chips and scratches they’d promised to fix.
Now they’re refusing to reimburse the train tickets. It’s been more than four weeks of chasing, resending ID, and being told “it’s on the way.” They either don’t care or think they can ignore me because they already have my cash and I live too far away to show up in person. And all this over £44. It’s not the money—it’s the principle.
They also never gave me the logbook (green slip) and keep fobbing me off with “six weeks in the post.”
At this point, I’m just hoping the car doesn’t develop a fault, because dealing with them again would be a nightmare. I wouldn’t trust a single thing the Nottingham branch says.
