Used Surestore in Stafford. Luke and the other lads there were fantastic. We used two units for a few months following an electric rewire. Every query we had was dealt with and every time we interacted with them they were friendly, accommodating and helpful. Haven’t met a better customer service team in recent years.

They require an email address to get their costs
They add lots of costs at the end once you've entered all your details
The website it constantly hanging at "Getting best deals" when you already have a quote
You can reserve a unit but when you get to paying you are presented with an error that they don't have any of those units
What a waste of time.

Used surestore Stafford when had to store house contents following 3 months delay on new house build. Excellent service from all the team and will assist you and keep you updated when required. Would recommend to anyone wanting clean environment for valued house contents.

Awful deposit raid at the end of the term - despite having spent thousands and giving more than 10 days notice to vacate - would never recommend Surestore after my experience.

Be warned don't trust them - this relates to the Bury, Greater Manchester store but is defended as "policy" according to accounts and applies broadly across Surestore.

My injustice is upon leaving the storage unit, keys were returned and I effectively lost access to the unit; Despite this, however, it was claimed a "service" had been provided. What exactly I find it hard to understand the unit was empty and I had no access to it. Following this, they deducted charges for an additional 5 days, despite other units being empty adjacent purely based on "policy" wording and stood by that despite me protesting I had no access to the unit anymore!

Just pure greed and profiteering taking advantage of customers like you and me. It's plain and simple, this is theft despite how it's spun. I'm left seriously considering a small claims court to get the money returned some £45. It's petty, but it's the cheek of it how they treat a leaving customer who would otherwise have left a glowing review; Talking of which on a more positive note, I can't fault the floor staff they were always polite and respectable.

Beware their company policy is to maximise what they can get from you with lots of little rip off charges like insurance without tenable alternatives likewise, deposit raids at the end of term.

After this experience, I would never suggest or recommend Surestore to anyone considering storage - beware, consider your options wisely before signing up for a typical promotion.

A mixed experience... Imagine arriving on moving day, with all your belongings, to be told - 'oh, you won't like this but we can't accept your storage insurance specifically purchased from a legitimate source to cover your goods as requested by us, you will have to take ours out instead...' ... Most people would have no choice at that point but to roll over and pay Surestore's inflated insurance premiums on top of the monthly storage fee. For your information the premium I was quoted for their insurance alone was more per month than my car insurance! They also don't tell you that there are different levels of insurance payable, but quote for just one..
So, luckily I planned ahead, and visited with my documents prior to moving day, as even though I was told I could get my own insurance (and have since checked the 'requirements' with another branch who were also vague but suggested the specific storage insurance I purchased should meet requirements (and cost just £28 for the YEAR) I wanted to be organised. and what a surprise, my insurance was not acceptable to them! So, they are friendly, efficient etc but I would avoid. It's a shame as I wanted to support local but instead I have found a great place, just in Walmley, Cookes Storage who were brilliant and most importantly, fine with my insurance so it saved an additional £30 per month.

Avoid. SureStore said we could use our own insurance policy to cover the contents of a storage locker we'd pre-booked. (WARNING! a year-long policy was cheaper than SureStore's quote for a single month!) On the day we arrived to deposit said goods, we were told "oh, the directors say this insurance policy isn't acceptable, you'll have to take our own" (yes, at 12 x times the premium we'd already paid, and an inferior insurance policy to boot). Well, what's not acceptable is the apparent nefarious business policy practiced by SureStore. Just imagine, turning up with your van load of possessions on moving day to be told you have to pay hundreds more? The answer? Cooke Storage based in nearby Minworth - they welcomed us and our insurance policy - same day, with smiles, and even told us they'd heard similar stories. My advice? Avoid SureStore. If I could be bothered, I'd pursue this with Consumer Rights, but life is too short and the beer is cooling nearby...
