We had the absolute best experience…

We had the absolute best experience with this company.
I ordered a bikini for a disability client of mine, who was about to go on holidays. After ordering the item online, I called the company who ensured that the package was sent express, so it would reach un in time, which it did.
The quality of the bathers is excellent, and the customer service was fabulous.

Service could not have been better

I had a store credit with this company that I was doubtful that they might honour because it was quite old. They did honour it, incredibly enthusiastically and professionally providing amazing service & fast shipping. I would give them 6 stars if it were possible - highly recommend & am very appreciative of the service - thank you.

Misleading and don't offer lowest prices

They state very clearly on their website: "Lowest prices guaranteed. It’s highly unlikely, but if you find it cheaper elsewhere, just call us - we will beat their price by 5%." There are no T+Cs attached to this (at the time of this review).

So I sent them an email with a link to to another shop that sells the Enell SPORT & LITE (and in fact several other sports bras also offered by Storm in Cup) a LOT cheaper and asked them how do I take advantage of "5% beat the price".

They said the other website does not assist with free returns. My response was:

"Thanks Gizelle. sportsbra.co.nz do pay for the return back if exchanging but not sure how that's relevant to your "we are the lowest price but if not, we'll beat it by 5%? Would be good to know what your T+Cs are thanks if I do decide to buy through you but I'm happy to wait until you've spoken to your marketing team..."

Their response:

"We have our Enell Sports Bras that will be processed and shipped from our Head office in Australia . Our team unfortunately are unable to assist at the moment due to the postage costs involved and also incase of an Exchange, we would have to bare additional Postage charges for the return as well as the next order for the other size. Really sorry about that.

In a general situation, we normally have many offers and deals where we offer customers discounts between 10-15% . Sales- 15% and new order promotion 10%. On return the amount is stored as Credit and used for the next full priced order. This however is applicable for any order which is not a full priced one.

Once again, we are truly sorry."

So they DO NOT have the lowest prices (check out sportsbra.co.nz) and the DO NOT beat the lowest price by 5%

I have made a complaint with the Commerce Commission as they are clearly misleading customers. In fact I sent them an email saying:

"You clearly state on your website: 'Lowest prices guaranteed. It’s highly unlikely, but if you find it cheaper elsewhere, just call us - we will beat their price by 5%.

So under The Fair Trading Act, you are misleading consumers.'

And haven't heard back from them. Guess they were hoping I would go away!

Also, buyer beware about their discounts/coupons as you CAN NOT return for a refund, only a credit.

sportsbra.co.nz offer 10% off your first purchase and offer a full refund. So you can guess where I ended up buying from!

Apart from selling high quality…

Apart from selling high quality garments, their staff is very responsive and very helpful. Several times I couldn't find either the right colour or style I wanted. I contacted them and each time they took the time and made the effort of getting exactly what I wanted. Also returning items is handled with great professionalism.

What an amazing experience the online team were so helpful with getting things sorted out and making sure i had the best experience
Thankyou again for getting my items shipped out before my special day , my wedding day
As we know that already is a stressful time

This company actually cares about customers

This company actually cares about getting you the best fitting bras and swimwear! Finally! I ordered some bras and bikini tops from them and they went out of their way to make sure I got the right size (I was way off) and they sent me a returns label, and sent my exchange for free and organised a virtual bra fitting so I could get my size right. Everyone who works there are bra angels!!

Find another retailer

This company make a lot of public claims but fail to live up to most, namely "lowest price guarantee", and "free shipping & returns".

Be aware that if you are offered a first time coupon, the fine print disqualifies you from any refund should it not fit. But of course they won't tell you that when they dangle a coupon in front of you.

I purchased 2 sizes of the same bra, something I have previously done when buying a bra online with other retailers (and used a coupon if it was my first purchase). Ok fine, you won't give my money back as punishment for using a coupon.

I take the time to find a couple of alternatives and find cheaper online from another retailer. Moreover, the other prices were not a "sale" price, just standard cheaper pricing but because it looked like it was "on sale" according to Storm in a D Cup, they had to check with the team over the course of 4 days (screenshots and links were provided). The price is the price regardless of whether it is on sale or not, the competitor had the stock available to sell in my size and colour.

Further, they added "no returns" on the new item "as the difference in pricing is a lot", despite boasting they are the only company in Australia to offer "free returns".

Unsolicited advice provided in the comms from Storm in a D Cup about a range of things such as "the other website do not assist with a prepaid label", and "we can assist with faster delivery". I might add that this was particularly rich, given that when I originally placed my order which was "in stock" and I enquired on a date of dispatch 3 days later, that I received a long winded message in reply about how great they are, yet completely left my question unanswered. The other website may not offer free returns, however they do offer a first time AND RETURNING CUSTOMER discount coupon so it’s another moot point. They also offer refunds, no quibbles!!!

Facts are, I found another retailer offering cheaper pricing everyday for the same items, not a “sale” price that Storm in a D Cup insist - but why should that matter if you are offering a “lowest price guarantee”. They mention they are a small company but so are the others I found. You will get much friendlier service elsewhere and much less of a hassle when choosing the right size. I finally received a refund after a week long battle because they wouldn't honour their lowest price guarantee. Do yourself a favour and avoid Storm in a D Cup - I wish I did.

THE WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!! THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED!!!

I have never experienced such terrible service in years of buying products online

I purchased items on April 19th 2024 it is now May 30th 2024

I have sent multiple emails to the company to try find out where my order was They told me it was my fault as I had given them an inaccurate address This is false The address I gave them is an address I have used many many times and have always had my items delivered successfully.

To try and facilitate a solution, on their request, I gave them another address which was a Post Office. I was repetitively told to be patient and how valuable I was to them as a customer? Again completely false.

I have not received the items that have been paid for. It is now 42 days after I placed and paid for my order.

I requested a refund believing that I am justified in getting my money returned to me as I have not received the goods I have paid for. My part of the contract of sale was fulfilled, there’s has not been. But it is still ‘my fault’

On request of this refund I was again told to wait, that the item “might get delivered“ tomorrow ?!

They, the company would send me a return label so I could return the items once received? So Storm in a D Cup expect me to not only continue to wait for the items that may or may not arrive and then return them?

They want me to make time in my manically busy day to go and stand in a post office queue to return my items I have waited over 42 days for so they will then give me a refund? Make sense to you?!

How does this make any sense at all?

As an update the goods were delivered today 43 days after order, 7 emails later to the ORIGINAL address I was told I have supplied incorrectly.

In the final email from the company from Sandra I was told to ‘have a wonderful rest of the week’

Just extraordinary

My strong advice do not order from this dreadful company, the products can be easily sourced elsewhere.
