These guys are deceitful; their pricing is clickbait, presenting a different price online while excluding key details such as insurance and VAT, as if we are Americans. By the time you arrive, your mind is preoccupied with the price you saw online. This was my first storage unit, so why would you say it was this price and then charge me double? If I had known sooner, I would have sought for a less expensive option (which I did find, but at the time...). In the United Kingdom, insurance premiums are usually exempt from VAT. This means that you usually don't have to pay VAT on storage unit insurance in the UK. First time I have been charged VAT Twice by the same company. If you are not familiar with storage units stay away am not saying their price is largely different to others, but it is deceptive. I am still looking into why they charge VAT on their insurance; Despite the small charge, I believe something is incorrect and malicious.

Although I got my storage out 2 days early was still charged £6.50 also gave the correct 14 days notice so watch out!!

I moved from Cornwall to Essex. I had never used a storage unit before. Mick from the Basildon branch was fantastic. He was so helpful. Guiding me through the process of renting a unit. Clean and tidy building. I would definitely use a unit there again and highly recommend using a unit there.

The staff at Storage King Bedford were very friendly and helpful. They made a potentially stressful experience easier and nothing was too much trouble! Storage units are clean and it was an all round efficient service. Thank you.

Angel, Ellie and Julia who work at the Storage King were absolute gems. I was very stressed with a forced house move and Angel helped me get a unit that was ideal to fit all my household items, Ellie was very empathetic having gone through similar circumstances and Julia the manager really helped me to put everything in perspective. Great service from Storage King. We used for a few months after moving house, location wise was perfect for us and had competitive rates. Units are well kept and modern. Access is easy and well secured. Weve also used the rental van from here and had no issues. Thanks David youre a gem!! Vinny & Toni

Excellent service and facilities
Manger Lee is a first class and professional manager who makes customers very welcome and who goes out of his way to make using Storage King the number one place in Nottingham for all Self Storage needs.

Having never used a storage unit before, I was very nervous with what to do, but Storage King made it very easy and straight forward. Great service and friendly staff, would highly recommend to anyone!

Excellent service all round. Friendly and helpful staff and great facilities. I have used two previous storage facilities before but Storage King is by far the best.
The staff even took the stress out of moving into a larger unit and went out of their way to help.

The storage unit was clean and tidy, very nice staff. I no longer needed the storage unit, therefore notice was given. I was informed I would be due a refund and I would receive it in around 2 weeks, I waited 3 weeks and still no refund had been deposited into my bank account.
I rang the storage unit only to be told that it had not been processed and couldn’t be done until the following Monday and then it would take another week for it to clear.
No explanation was given and when I had to ask they I hadn’t been paid back my money the member of staff didn’t know.
Not good enough.

I've been very impressed by the high standard this storage depot has. The staff are lovely, really helpful. It's very clean and tidy and all the trolleys are clean and easy to use. There's three different types, depending on your needs - this has been hugely helpful as we have manoeuvred our furniture to and from our allocated unit and its made it much easier. There's a good security process in place which allows individuals to come and go 24/7 and on tge odd occasion, when something goes wrong, there's always someone on hand to fix it quickly and efficiently.

Definitely recommend them and will use them again without hesitation.

Storage King Crawley
They have been ever helpful and accommodating to make sure I get full value of the storage unit. Even give us a van for free, but you had to pay £28 for the excess. That was for the day 0900 to 1700.
I would recommend they to my especially as it half price for the first three months.
So again I would recommend Storage King Crawley for a short term storage as they are the cheapest around

I have decided to edit my previous 1 star rating to 3 stars due to the regional manager’s input. There was a miscommunication at the beginning and end of the process, but I feel he has resolved my frustration in a genuine and professional way.

Excellent storage place, was very easy process and helped with my move to a new house as i couldn't handle the move in just a a day, so needed this storage place for storing a few things while i moved.

The staff at Storage King Doncaster cannot do enough for you.
Excellent service, providing everything you need.
Made to feel valued from the moment we arrived.
Always a friendly atmosphere around the place.
Storage units are clean, easily accessible and perfect for the job.

All I can say is a massive thank you to Jane! What a pleasure to deal with. I’m sure most people chose storage in their time of need, which is exactly what I did after being evicted last minute from my flat, and going travelling. Jane made this so incredibly easy to sort out. And I cannot thank her enough for just being an ear to listen to and to talk me through the process. I couldn’t be happier with my unit and how easy it made the moving our process. I have now been able to go away travelling and not worrying about where or how safe my belongings are! Jane, you are such an asset to the Bath store, and just knowing there is a friendly face and voice when I need it is such a relief. Thank you once again for all your help!

Really helpful and friendly

Even before arriving with a van load of furniture the attitude of the reception staff gave me confidence taking time to explain the process and tarrifs. Each and every time we came and went was always greeted with a warm welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. I would definitely use the facilities again and a very big thank you to your two lovely ladies managing the bookings and general help. I rate the facilities 4 star however the staff a full 5 stars … many thanks Graham.

Poor service, and staff that don't seem to know what they are doing. We used the Maidstone location. We got a half price deal for 150ft storage.

We were told that if we gave 14 days notice during our period. We would get a pro rata balance refund. This makes perfect sense!

We gave 14 days notice on the 14th of Jan, (I have text message to prove it). We were stopping the period on the 26th Jan, 2024. I filled out the web form in the text message.

On the 26th Jan we while we were moving the stuff out, I was told there was a failed payment of £255.00 to pay. I explained that we are moving out. and i told George on the 14th. I was then told that i still needed to pay as 1 they didn't receive any notification and the payment still needs to be made. however, i would get a pro rata refund. I would also need to fill the form out again. However, the other guy stated that he was going to try and get me a larger refund due to their mistake.

We are now on the 16th Feb and no refund. I was told yesterday on that I wasn't intitled to a refund as the deal i had was half price. This is a Joke. Do these guy even know what they are doing? I feel ripped off.

£255 down and nothing to show for it.
Please learn from my mistake in choosing these guys!
Avoid at all costs.....because it will cost me. Also be aware they have a Rat & Rodent Problem! hundreds of traps on every floor.

Next stop trading standards!
