Terrible Doctors practice

The standard of care at this surgery is unacceptable.

I raised persistent and worsening back pain in September, clearly expressing concerns about possible bulging discs. At that time, I had already completed several months of physiotherapy, and my physiotherapist had documented in writing that disc involvement was suspected. This information was disregarded.

Rather than being properly assessed or referred for appropriate investigation, I was sent to MSK and placed on a five-month waiting list, despite it being made clear that physiotherapy had already been ineffective.

By January, my condition had deteriorated significantly. I subsequently herniated two discs, leaving me struggling to walk. During this period, my mental health declined rapidly, my medication ran out, and my sick note expired. Despite the seriousness of the situation, there was no meaningful support, including no mental health input, and I still had to wait nearly a week to speak to a clinician.

This outcome may have been avoided or mitigated had my concerns been taken seriously earlier.

The credibility of the surgery’s positive reviews is questionable. In my experience, and in the experience of others I know who attend this practice, the care provided has been consistently poor. The highly positive reviews do not reflect the reality faced by many patients.

I would strongly advise prospective patients to review independent feedback carefully before registering. My experience has been one of delay, disregard, and inadequate care

Polite and respectful receptionist Amaya

I just want to send a nice review for a specific receptionist named Amaya , apologies if my spelling is incorrect 😊. Honestly i feel that the receptionist at the practice get a hard time, i have witnessed this for myself ... but on a personal level i have had nothing but polite and positive dealings with all the receptionist , but today im wanting to personally thank Amaya for always being polite and respectful towards my family and myself and always having a level of understanding when dealing with me ... i am a wheelchair user and have some complexed needs and at times even calling the doctors can be daunting and intimidating and no matter what Amaya is always nice ... so thank you very much Amaya and may god give you many blessings.. ameen 🤲🏼☺️... yours sincerely Louis ..

Good medical staff experience, but...

I've run out of excuses for this surgery re booking appointments. They introduced an online booking system and stated clearly to only call on the day. I was online at 8 prompt to book an appointment but never received a call back. I then called in the afternoon to inquire about my appointment only to be told that the doctor will see me in a week.

If that's the case, why ask patients to book on the day?

I can't speak highly enough regarding…

I can't speak highly enough regarding the surgery.
I have had an on going problem for over a year, sometimes I feel I am being a pain as I am there often or calling them.
The receptionists are great and always help to make sure the doctor calls or they sort an appointment.
Today Tehniyat, the secretary for the practice called me to make sure I had an appointment at the hospital and that all was ok.
Amazing service thank you.

I've always had above average service

I've really got to say that after well over 25 years of being a patient, (right back to the days of Dr. Warriner & partners), although the service has definitely declined over the years, as so many of the great Dr's like Dr Shaikh have moved on, with staffing issues a concern, (although Dr Butt makes up for it), I still rate them above average when I hear some of the horror stories from other surgeries. Getting an appointment is an issue, but isn't that the case anywhere nowadays. I'll stick with the devil I know, as they're handy for me, especially with Krish pharmacy opposite (who are also well above average in my opinion).

i will leave a review here.
at 12.55 i received a text from the practise telling me to call the surgery to book an appointment for a 2nd covid vaccination, after spending 3 hours trying to get through, i get told why are you calling you cannot book your second test until next week.
they have wasted my time and theirs, and asked why i received the text, i get no answer.
not good, not good at all

Bad experience

Bad experience. I suffer with depression and slipped discs in my back, i ring up to get a recorded msg saying theres no appointments today (thats everytime i ring up might i add) and then when i get through to a receptionist i get asked "did i not get the message?" all i wanted to do was ask if i could book an appointment for another day. How do you think i feel now? Dont join this surgery, i stopped taking my anti depressants due to not being able to get an appointment and then get told by my therapist to get an urgent appointment to be spoken to like that by a sarcastic cow? Not helpful at all. Drs are good if you can actually see them, receptionists i wouldnt spit on if they were on fire. Highly unrecommended.

Blood out of a stone

Getting an appointment is like getting blood from a stone. Be prepared to have to call & redial over 100 times as the phone line is constantly engaged. Then if you get lucky enough to get in the queue of 7 it'll take a further 15 minutes to be answered. Hopefully then you can book an appointment with someone. Rarely with your chosen doctor. You cannot prebook appointments even if the doctor requests for you to do so. Their booking system only allows three weeks ahead, which is useless if the doctors ask for you to return in a month! So then you have to call up.... Urghhhhhhh. You can (if an emergency) call after 2pm for an appointment... Which generally is a sit & wait. So you're there for absolute ages before you are called. Having a baby, a young child & a disability this is not something I wish to do! The reception staff are completely inflexible, only one seems to have compassion & act human. We are there because we need help. We do not need to be turned away because we did not ring in the morning & couldn't get through. Seriously considering changing practice. Shame. Dr Ellis was fab, shall be missed in his retirement. Dr Tomlinson is great as is Dr Azhar. The nurses have left & been replaced. Wonder why? Someone there is making these rules. They need to look at it from the patients perspective. No wonder they were (or maybe still are) under special measures. Very very poor.
