I try always to take a Station taxi! They are invariably extremely patient, friendly and helpful - that goes for the arranger when I call and the drivers! After I gave up my own car, I decided always to use Station if possible!

I contacted Station Cars explaining that I required an executive car to take my daughter to her prom as I was out of the UK unexpectedly.
I initially ordered an executive Uber as a replacement to my Rolls Royce but was concerned they did not specify the car so switched to Station Cars as they could provide a personal service.
My daughter reminded me a prom was as important as a Wedding day so was relieved when they confirmed a S Class Mercedes with a Pink Ribbon at an additional charge of £10.
They sent me a email confirmation but without the specified car and specified cash payment.
I re-contacted them immediately and explained I’m in another country so they have to take card payment as my daughter won’t have any cash on her. I also queried they did not specify the actual car this was important as I could keep phoning around to secure the right car for such an important day.
I was verbally reassured they would send me a payment link that I can pay when the car arrives and there was nothing to worry about.
A few hours before puck up they called me and said they can’t provide the specified car and would I be happy with an E class Mercedes replacement with no ribbon but will still charge me the extra £10.
I had no choice but to agree as it would be impossible at such short notice to find an alternative.
The driver turned and became aggressive to my daughter and started swearing for his money in her special day as he was expecting cash.
I called them immediately put on hold for 20 minutes and finally you will took my card payment details.
The driver continued to be aggressive took cash from my daughter’s mother. She felt threatened and felt she had no alternative as your driver was destroying her daughter’s special day.
Absolutely disgusted to find out that multiple station taxi drivers tonight are telling people they don’t take cash but they do as the taxi driver I had explained to me it’s because they have to wait for their money disgusting!!!! I always use station taxis but won’t from now on !!! Should be ashamed !!
Despite calling up and double-confirming our need for two taxis, the call handler failed to process this on Sunday, 10 March 2024. This meant that we had to call up and order the second taxi after the first one arrived and left.
The call handler also refused to provide a time estimate for when both cars would arrive at the pickup location.
If a taxi company can't get the basics right, then it should cease operating. It's no wonder they're losing business to apps like Uber.
